God Knows What You Need

God knows what you need. That is a truth that we should remind ourselves of daily. The King of kings knows your every need! What a comfort it is to know this. His ways are higher and He knows better. We may have a list of wants, but our God is wise. Sometimes in the waiting for what we want, we find that we receive what we need instead.

Shyju Mathew Teaches On The Wisdom of God

Revive Nations is led by Prophets Shyju and Tiny Mathew. Based in Canada and India, Revive Nations has reached multitudes in over 100 cities in about 24 nations with the love of Jesus and the power of the Gospel.

Shyju spoke a message about how God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He spoke about how God knows what you need. Sometimes what God does looks foolish, but it’s in His wisdom that He gives us what we need.

He used the example of Jesus coming to the world as a baby.

“And now this baby is going to grow up, and He’s going to be the Savior of the world. Foolishness. And the Bible says, it was that foolishness that caused them to crucify Christ. It was a setup.”

God Knows What You Need

What if a child got everything he or she wanted? Wow! That could result in that child becoming sick, or overtired, or even in danger. A good parent will give a child what he or she needs instead. There are times to give a child what they want, but it takes a wise parent to discern what is best.

God is a good Father! He knows what you need.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change” (James 1:17).

God has an eternal perspective. He has a good plan for our lives. We may think we know what we need, but He can see every angle and every outcome. His ways are better!

“Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9-11).

Application

When you’re struggling to trust that your needs will be met, remember that God sees ahead and He is not afraid. He loves you and will provide for you. You are valuable!

^“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26).

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you solve the problem you’re facing. Ask Him for help in how to pray. Oftentimes we try to work things our on our own, but maybe He is sending the answer in a way you’d never thought possible. You just never know how God might surprise you!

Don’t be afraid to ask! You are His child! You are seated with Christ in heavenly places (See Ephesians 2:6)

Prayer

Father, I surrender to your ways. Thank you that you will give me what I need. I lay down my list of wants and I ask for wisdom. You are so good to me and I want to learn to trust you more. I ask for wisdom and insight, and that I will seek your kingdom and your righteousness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Can Make Your Mess A Miracle

I want to encourage you today. Do you know that God can use your mess to become a miracle? Look at my life. I always tell people if God can use me, He can use anyone. I was broken. I was that girl coming with her high heels back from clubbing at the university while the first girls were going off to their first class. God can use your mess and make something beautiful.

Romans eight, He says He will work all things, including your messes together for His good. All He needs is your yes. Be encouraged today. Don’t let condemnation and shame hold you back. When Jesus was on the cross, He said, remember what I did for you. My blood was spoke for the atonement of your sins and my body was broken so that yours can be healed. And let’s zoom in on that blood. Did He not say that He will cause your sins to be far from as the east is from the west? He will wash you white as snow.

I remember the first time I preached, I felt so embarrassed that God was using me. I knew there was a million other people that were more holy than I was, that were definitely better educated, this and that, for the role. But God chose me and He chooses you today. He says, anyone who says, “Here I am, Lord, send me,” He will send. And so I want to encourage you with that and just say, and charge you up in that place and say, say yes to God.

Don’t limit yourself when God isn’t limiting you. Hey, say, “Hallelujah,” somebody. It is time for you to recognize that it’s Christ in you. Despite your weaknesses, your mess can become a miracle. Now I’ve traveled to 34 countries. God is using me. People are jumping out of wheelchairs. The blind see, the deaf hear. Me? Party girl becomes preacher. That is the testimony of Jesus, where He uses your mess to make it a miracle.

So I want to pray right now, if that’s you, if you’ve been struggling with that condemnation and shame and just thinking, “Well, how can God use me?” Listen, He’s God of the universe. So I just bless you right now. I release that revelation over you. I released the power of God over you. I released an increase over you, and I speak to that spirit of shame and condemnation, and the spirit of religion that says that you need to do more instead of focusing on what He’s already done on the cross. Hey, I just speak breakthrough over youth, freedom, revelation, and faith in His faithfulness that He can use you and make your mess a miracle.

A Key To Being Refreshed In God’s Presence

Are you or your kids in need of being refreshed? There’s actually an amazing key to being refreshed in God’s Presence tucked away in the story of Gideon, and this powerful truth can impact your whole family!

You probably know the story: Israel had a terrible enemy called the Midianites. For seven years in a row, the Midianites and some other armies would come into Israel when it was time for them to harvest the vegetables and grain they’d planted and destroy all their food.

God heard Israel’s prayers and wanted to stop this, so He chose Gideon, a young man. At the time, Gideon didn’t think he could do anything about stopping this enemy and rescuing his nation. But eventually, Gideon chose to believe what God had said about him, so God filled Gideon with the Holy Spirit, and when He did, the people began to follow Gideon as their leader.

As Gideon was gathering his army, God told him it was too many, and He was going to test them to see which people would stay and fight and which people would go home.

In order to test them, God told Gideon to take the people down to some water, and God was going to watch the way they drank water. Some would get down and dunk their faces straight in the water, and everyone who did this would be the ones sent home.

Some other people would scoop up the water with their hands to drink, and these were the ones who would stay and go fight in the battle.

At the time God tested them, there were 10,000 people, and 9,700 dunked their faces in the water and were sent home. Only 300 people drank water with their hands and would go to battle against the giant armies.

It didn’t seem like enough people to fight the enemy, but God had something else planned. Gideon would give a torch to each of the 300 who remained, and at the right time, they would show the torches to their enemies. When they did this, the enemy got so scared, they ran away and fought themselves. Gideon’s tiny army didn’t even have to fight, and they won the biggest battle of their lives because they had a fire from God that scared their enemies away. Gideon and his tiny army became great heroes that day, and it was all because they passed God’s test of how they drank the water.

The water is a picture of the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the enemy always wants us to keep our eyes on him as we are being refreshed from the Holy Spirit‘s presence. God chose those who scooped water up with their hands, because in order to drink this way, they had to set everything else down first. They had to set down all the weapons they thought they needed, all the baggage and supplies they brought, everything.

If you or your kids are in need of refreshment in God’s Presence, I invite you to pray this prayer and pause for God to fill you up:

“God, I want your presence to be my number one priority in life. I don’t want to put anything else above You. I know there are spiritual enemies you want me to defeat, and You want me to do it without weapons. I set down everything else to take time to be with You. Fill me and refresh me, Holy Spirit. As I take time for Your presence, I ask for Your fire that saves countries from what the devil tries to do to them.”

My prayer for your family today is that you would set everything down in His Presence and let the Holy Spirit fill you up, and that nothing would take your eyes off of Him.

When You Need A Miracle

When you need a miracle, when you need a breakthrough… Sometimes the best thing you can do is go and reread about all of the miracles Jesus performed on earth… it’s time to get our hopes up it’s time to encourage ourselves in the Lord… Jesus only ministered for three years and yet the healings and miracles he performed could’ve filled 10 Bibles … Here are some of the accounts to get your faith up… Jesus casts out an unclean spirit, he healed Peter’s mother-in-law, he cleansed a leper, he healed a paralyzed man, Jesus healed a man with a withered hand.

Jesus calmed the storm, he casts out demons, he raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead.

Jesus healed a woman with the issue of blood.… Jesus fed the 5000, he walked on the sea, he casts out the demon from the Greek woman’s daughter. Jesus healed a deaf mute, he fed the 4000, he healed the blind man, he casts out a deaf and dumb spirit, he healed the blind Bartemaeus and he withered the fig tree.

… What did these miracles demonstrate about the power of Jesus?…

Jesus has power over all forces of evil, he has power over sickness, he has compassion and he has power to forgive, he has the authority to do good on the Sabbath, he has power over nature, he has power over death ,he has the power to provide food.. he has power over the ability to hear and speak, he has power over sight!

He receives authority through prayer… Prayer is the source of his power!!

Prayer is also the source of our power… Who do you think we’re talking to when we pray? We are talking to Emmanuel, God with us, we are talking to the creator of the entire universe…Jesus is the source of all miracles… We must stand and believe that he is still the same miracle working powerful God that performed miracles on earth 2000 years ago!

The Bible says if we believe, THEN we will see the goodness of the Lord … we must have faith first , Believe first! … The Bible says do not be afraid only believe! To have faith is to relinquish trust in oneself and to put the trust in another, Jesus! The woman who had the issue of the blood had put her trust in physicians to no avail.. now she put all of her trust in Jesus, believing he could cure her. According to Jesus it was her faith that made her well.. this was the proclamation Jesus made many times!

Jesus is so tender with this woman he called her daughter, and he noted that her face made the difference. Her face was correctly placed on him. Faith itself does not heal, rather, it is the proper object of that faith, Jesus who heals!

Our faith is not in our prayers but in the power of the one who answers them…

Praise him, rest in his presence… Receive his peace and believe you have received what you have asked…!

Breakthrough is coming glory hallelujah!!!

Matthew 17:20 – He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Jeremiah 32:27 – I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

Psalm 27:13 – I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

Luke 13:10-17 – “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

Mark 10:27 – “Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be”
