In the recent episode of “I Got Accent So What” podcast, host Gea Gomez revealed that she and her husband, Jeremy, remained pure until their marriage. Though they were engaged for two years, they still chose to wait. She also revealed that it was the biggest secret to their success.
“Me and my husband practiced abstinence before getting married and we were engaged for two years. He was my first and vice versa. A lot of people ask us what is the biggest key to success and it’s exactly that.”

Abstinence before marriage
Both of them obeyed God at His word and God blessed them. Obedience to God’s Word opens the door to the outpouring of God’s blessings. As it is written in Deuteronomy 28: 1-2, “You will experience all these blessings if you obey the LORD your God.”
“When you give up pleasure for what is right, God opens a sea of opportunity for you just for being obedient. Being obedient is the key to the blessings of God coming upon your life and be an instrument for those.”
Gea also explained that the difficult moments we’re experiencing in our lives are tested to refine us just as gold is being refined by fire.
“So all the things you’ve gone through and you have experienced is because you needed to go there to be tested just as the gold is.”
