You are free indeed. Give your life to Christ
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Have you been toiling throughout life’s journey? Are you weary? Have you had struggles, doubts, obstacles and let downs that have weighed you down? With God, He can release you from every burden of life. Every weight and stronghold can be destroyed under His yoke breaking Power and Love, If you cast your cares upon Him. Please note the keyword – “IF”.
Many times we self-select into bondage when we choose to hold on to past emotional hurts, pains, let downs and disappointments. The wounds of the past will torment those who choose to dwell in the imprisonment of their past mistakes and idolize these moments over choosing to receive God’s Love, Freedom and forgiveness. Accepting His Freedom requires nothing more than simply to accepting Him for who He is. God has forgiven you. He has set you free and He has made you new.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
You are new in Christ
Nothing can stop you when you are on His side. Your past pain and bondage have no power over you. Your past mistakes cannot enslave you or chain you to your past. When you accept Christ you are His. You become new. Satan is the accuser. Christ is the redeemer. When you are in Christ, He releases you from the power of sin while Satan keeps you entangled and bound by your lusts.
Your enslavement is a decision. It’s your choice to accept life or death. Life in Christ is liberty and true freedom. Every memory of your past is just that… memories. Your memories do not have to hold your bondage, taunt you or torment your present state. You can choose to be free when you are in Christ.
“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us”. (Psalms 103:12)
If Christ has no memory of your transgression then why are you still holding on to the past? Your freedom is solely based upon Christ and His Sovereignty. He alone is the one who sets you free. Rehearse and remind yourself of God’s Word and His promises, when satan attempts to torment and flood your mind with his allegations: “If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36)
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
When you accept Christ, He is The Only Way to eternal life. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) You are new in Him. When you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior you’re declaring that He alone, is both Lord and King over your life. Your heart belongs to Him. You’re healed and made whole in him from past emotional wounds, scars, disappointments and let downs. In Him you are free.
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)
Salvation Prayer
Father God, in The Name of Jesus, I repent of my sins. I thank You for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, who died and rose just for me. His blood washes me and cleanses me from the stain of my past and makes me complete in You. I turn and give my heart to you. I renounce every work of wickedness and confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name, Amen.
