Recently starred in the Pure Flix film “Mr. Manhattan,” they reflected on how their struggles mirrored the themes depicted in the movie’s storyline. As reported by Faithwire, the film portrays a heartwarming narrative centered on discovering joy after sorrow and surrendering every facet of life to God’s control.

Just a month ago, Alex and Carlos announced the death of their fourth child named Indy. In their Instagram post, the two opened up about the heartbreak and pain of losing their stillborn daughter. However, despite the loss, they still found peace and hope in God.

“It has been a painful journey,” they wrote. “But, in the pain, we have found peace. God continues to comfort and hold us in his arms.”

The Christian Walk Isn’t Pretty

Furthermore, in Alexa’s recent interview with CBN, she remarked that “the Christian walk isn’t pretty.” She expressed that the Christian walk entails challenges and struggles, contrary to the misconception that accepting Christ guarantees a trouble-free life.

“It’s really … hard, and you are going to be wrestling with God a lot throughout your journey,” she explained. “It is the most fulfilling walk you’ll ever take, and it’s also the most peaceful walk that you’ll ever take.”

Alexa also shared how losing her daughter has been the hardest thing she’d ever experienced in her life. However, she remarked, “But, what’s awesome about our God is, that He truly met us between this place of pain and peace, and He really spoke to us.”

The actress called this season in her life as a “pain with a purpose.”

“And it’s interesting how God will make any painful experience that you have gone through … He brings purpose to all the painful things in your life and He turns them into testimonies,” she said.

Since he was a kid, James Arnold Taylor has always loved dubbing cartoons. He pursued that path until he landed a job opportunity that caught the attention of agents. Eventually, he achieved his dream and became a successful voice actor in cartoons.

Some of the cartoons James voiced were Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Star Wars,” Fred in “The Flintstones,” and Leonardo in “Ninja Turtles.” But amidst his prominence as a voice actor, an unexpected event threatened his career. One day, James suddenly lost his voice.

Losing His Voice

On February 13, 2005, the voice actor and his wife discovered that they had moved into a new home that had black mold. Consequently, six different types of molds entered James’s bloodstream, causing unusual symptoms in his body, including the loss of his voice. As a result, the doctor advised him not to use his voice. This all occurred while he was pursuing a lawsuit regarding the house with black mold and in the process of adopting a child.

Despite the bad news and feeling overwhelmed by everything, James trusted God throughout the journey. Therefore, the voice actor and his wife would pray on their knees every day. James also began extensive therapy to aid in his recovery at that point. Additionally, he changed his lifestyle and adopted a healthy diet. He realized that his voice was a gift from God and he needed to steward it well.

Redemption

Later, when their adoption process was finally approved, James discovered that their baby girl was born on February 13, 2005—the same day that he was diagnosed with the disease and lost his voice. It was at that moment he realized that God intended to redeem what was supposed to be the worst day of his life.

In an interview with Stephen Colbert, actress Patricia Heaton admitted that “career comes and goes.” She shared how this realization helped her hold on to her faith.

A three-time Emmy Award winner who starred in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “The Middle,” and the CBS sitcom “Carol’s Second Act,” actress Patricia Heaton shared how her faith became constant in her life.

For her, acting was like a spiritual experience.

She spoke from her heart about how she’d “always felt at home on stage” like she was in church.

“I felt very connected to what I was doing. Maybe because we are creating, and God is a Creator. When you read the whole first chapter of Genesis, He made the earth and the stars. And He made man and gave life to Adam,” the actress said.

And then she added, “So, when we’re doing characters, we’re breathing life into these creatures.”

Patricia recalled the moment when she questioned God for closing the door for her even after nine years of waiting.

“I was here for nine years in New York. I mean nothing; I couldn’t make anything happen. And I was so angry at God. I was like, “You put this in me, and You shut every door; what is going on?,” she asked God.

Eventually an opportunity did come, but not in the way she expected. She went to an orphanage with the church to serve them and helped the kids.

Glorifying God

That was when she had the realization that she had been putting herself at the center of her life.

“I had this huge sense of peace that I never had before. Then I realized that I had been making the acting career the center of my life. There’s one thing that could only be the center of your life and that’s your faith. And I think I wasn’t doing that, and I think God was withholding everything until I made sure that He was the center of my life and not my career. Because look, the career comes and goes. You can’t rely on those things because they don’t last. You have to know that the purpose of your life is glorifying God with your life and not glorifying yourself,” she concluded.

Brad Stine dreamed of becoming a Christian comedian. That’s why, for 18 years, he worked hard for it.

“I’ve been doing comedy for 18 years. One thing I always prided myself on was that I didn’t use curse words. Because I just felt like, as a Christian man, I’m not supposed to do it. Secondly, I thought it made more creative comedy.

“I always tried to do that. Just tried to be funny, that’s it. Tried to compete. It’s not easy to compete when you don’t use curse words. Because that’s how I’ve seen comedy nowadays,” he said.

But when God told him to do something he didn’t expect, Comedian Brian Stine obeyed and left Hollywood.

“I guess I’m not going to make it on TV in Hollywood. And I felt like I quit. But I thought I was supposed to do it. Because I thought it was what God wanted me to do. And with that big ol’ lump in my throat, I swallowed. And I remember saying, “Alright, God. There’s an adventure out there. Let’s turn the page. Let’s see what You got for me,” Brad said.

Leaving The Dream

“There’s, you know, not as many Christians out there doing comedy as there are in the mainstream. I just felt like this is what I want to do. And I was out in Hollywood, trying to make it on TV and this and that. And nothing, you know, nothing really happened.

“I just left, and I moved to Tennessee.

“And I wanted to make it in TV and Motion Pictures, and I’m leaving. I’ll never forget. I was in Palm Springs and I was getting ready to leave. And I get in my truck; I’m with my wife and my two kids.

“I’m not turning around. I’m going to a place that is not my own, to people that I don’t know. And the sun was coming up in the desert. And I’ll never forget that I thought to myself, “I guess my dreams die today.” Brad recalled the story as if it just happened yesterday.

Becoming The Comedian Brad Stine

But God didn’t disappoint him. He thought that his dream was over when, in fact, it was just the beginning.

“About five or six years ago, I decided to come out on stage and tell people I was a Christian. It got me all kinds of publicity. It surprised me; I wasn’t really looking for publicity for doing it. I just thought I was going to talk to my people who needed some comedy options, I felt.”

“I’m just doing what God wants me to do. And in four years, I’m in the middle of America, where I have no chance of being noticed. I got profiled in the New Yorker magazine. I ended up on CNN, Fox and Friends, Hannity & Colmes, the New York Times, three albums, two books, and just completed a movie called “Welcome to Paradise” with Brian Dennehy and Crystal Bernard about a little town in Texas. Because I did what God told me to do,” he concluded.

In a recent YouTube video, a Christian YouTuber discusses how actor Chris Pratt shares his faith online and during public speeches.

Pratt, with over 42 million Instagram followers, has huge influence in pop culture today.

“Chris Pratt is probably the biggest actor in Hollywood, but did you know that he has actually heard God’s voice? And that he has felt His presence?” Shawn Bolz asks in a reel uploaded to social media platforms on Saturday.

On Instagram, Pratt recently shared an encounter he had with God while on a run:

“I woke up today and felt pretty crappy,” Pratt says in the clip. “I knew that, if I put on my Christian music playlist and I got out in the woods and I ran then I’d feel better. But I just didn’t want to. I did it anyways.”

“Gosh I was right. I felt amazing. I got out in the woods got my blood pumping, and God is like, ‘whoosh.’ Sat down there right next to me. I actually don’t get emotional that often, but I actually got emotional, out in the woods. I was out on this run and I just felt like there was another in the fire standing next to me.”

Actor Mark Wahlberg Moves Family Out Of Hollywood: ‘The Kids Are Really Happy’

Well-known actor Mark Wahlberg moved his family out of Hollywood to give his kids a chance to thrive.

In an interview with Fox News, Mark shared the impact of their moving out of Hollywood and how it benefited his children. The actor and family recently relocated to Las Vegas, over 270 miles away from Hollywood. The area to which they moved in focuses more on community and uplifting values.

“It just has the best of both worlds,” Mark said. “I know a lot of people when they think Las Vegas, they think the Strip. But just about 15, 20 minutes away, there’s a whole lot of other amazing areas that are all about family and community.”

Move out of Hollywood

Their decision to relocate was mainly influenced by their kids’ needs. Mark and his wife, Rhea, want to let their children pursue their goals and dreams.

“My daughter’s an equestrian, my son’s a golfer,” Wahlberg said. “My oldest daughter, now she’s off to college, my son’s a junior.”

The most important thing for them is that their kids are happy and content with where they’re at now.

“It’s really giving the kids a chance to thrive,” he added. “…The kids are really happy, and it’s all about them.”

Christian faith

The “Father Stu” actor has always been open about his Christian faith. He has often used his platform to share about the importance of prayer in one’s life. He also aims to influence his children to follow the faith he believed in and his daily prayer and devotion practice.

“Even with my faith, I don’t force it on [my kids]. But they know that dad can’t start the day without being in prayer, can’t start the day without reading my Scripture or going to Mass,” he said in a previous interview. “And hopefully, instead of forcing that on them, they’ll say, ‘Well, if it works for dad, maybe it’ll work for us,’ and they’ll kind of gravitate toward it on their own.”

Sam Smith’s satanic Grammys performance during the 65th awards ceremony Sunday has caused quite a stir.

Clad in crimson red leather pants, devil horns, and dancing around in a seance-like manor, Smith and Kim Petras performed their hit song ‘Unholy’.

Accompanied with backup dancers clapping whips, Petras danced in a cage as fire lite up the stage. Meanwhile, Smith pranced around with a cane and assemble of dancers circling him. The dark and disturbing production reenacted a satanic sex-ritual.

Following the performance, host Trevor Noah faked a phone call with his mom.

“No, mom, it wasn’t the actual devil. … Yeah, you did warn me about Hollywood.” He added, “She says she will be praying for all of us.”

Satanic Grammys Performance

From conservative politicians, to fierce proponents of the LGBTQ community, the performance has been criticized and praised.

Petras and Smith won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the song. “I’m the first transgender woman to win this award,” said Petras. “I want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open.”

Senator Ted Cruz tweeted a video clip of the performance stating “This…is…evil.”

In a TikTok shared on his Instagram page, Shawn Bolz commented: “Sam Smith did the most demonic, demonic performance.”

Solomon Buchi tweeted “Sam Smith’s performance at the Grammy’s last night was satanic, gory. No, it’s not art; it’s symbolic of who they serve.”

The throne of God is forever

While reading and watching these grotesque depictions may be disturbing, don’t let your hearts grow troubled. God is seated on the throne! He is Holy.

“God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.” (Psalm 47:8)

Hollywood celebrity Cameron Diaz said that she found “peace” after she quietly left Hollywood in 2014.

Cameron last appeared in the film adaptation of “Annie” before she decided to leave the spotlight. For eight years, she has spent her time doing other things she was passionate about. In 2020, she also welcomed her first daughter Raddix Madden. In a recent interview with actress Gwenyth Paltrow, Cameron opened up about her quiet exit years ago.

“I just decided that I wanted different things out of my life. I had gone so hard for so long, working, and making films and it was such a grind. I didn’t really make any space for my personal life,” she said.

Peace

Her decision to suddenly take a break from Hollywood happened during the height of her success and fame. When asked what she felt afterward, she said that she found peace.

“A peace,” Cameron answered. “I got a sense of peace in my soul because I finally was taking care of myself. … I just feel grounded and light.”

She went on to share how her fame affected her as a person. Her life in the spotlight feels like some parts of her are being taken away from her. But it was when she decided to quit that she began to take back everything she has lost.

“It’s so intense to work at that level and be that public and put yourself out there. There’s a lot of energy coming at you at all times when you’re really visible as an actor and doing press and putting yourself out there. I realized I handed off parts of my life to all these other people, and they took it,” she said. “And I had to basically take it back and take responsibility for my life.”

Cameron was born into a Catholic family and during a TV show back in 2013, she declared that she has a strong relationship with her God. Let us pray that with her decision of quitting Hollywood, she would encounter the real source of the peace who is Jesus Christ.

In an episode of “Whoa That’s Good” podcast, Hollywood artist Kathie Lee Gifford shared her testimony in an interview with host Sadie Robertson Huff. She opened up about how God called her to be a light in the entertainment industry since she started her career at a young age.

“Ever since I entered this industry in a full-time way when I was 17 years old, the Lord was very, very clear with me and He said: Never separate the secular from the spiritual. ‘You live in my world, you live in my world.’ People will try to say [Hollywood is] secular. … [People say] there is such a godless world there. [But] God is everywhere,” Kathie said.

The 69-year-old actress hopes her testimony would inspire others to be a light of the Lord in their workplace. She also emphasized that God is everywhere and there is no such thing as a “godless” place.

“There might be people that don’t know yet God and don’t know that He loves him. But there is no godless place on this planet,” Kathie said. “There’s no godless place in this cosmos and all of creation. God, the Creator, is everywhere.”

Kathie, who recently released two faith-based movies in recent months, sees herself as a light wherever she goes.

“I knew every time I walked on a movie set, on a television set, or a recording studio or a stage, or a Baptist church, or Israel or whatever — it was God’s world,” she said. “And I got the privilege of being in it and walking in it with Yeshua Jesus. And He would be with me whether I was talking to Jay Leno or I was talking to Billy Graham. I had to be authentically a Child of God Kathie Lee, wherever I went. And when I started separating those two is the only time I ever got in trouble. … He created all the world.”
