“I’m fine, I’m good..” stated the pastor. Then he shared the experience he had with the disease. He said, “Let me tell you something. It is definitely real … the symptoms are so real. It’s kind of like a flu times 50 … still don’t feel like myself … I look forward to getting my energy back.”
And he continued, “My breath is a lot shorter. Fatigue is a lot quicker. My advice to people is, try to take this as seriously as you can.”
Also, Pastor Carl encouraged other people who tested positive for coronavirus. He reminded them, “You’re not alone. I’m praying that we find something that eradicates this thing completely. That’s my hope.”
Pastor Judah then asked all who were watching online to pray for Carl and his family.
United States Coronavirus Cases
Apparently, the coronavirus cases in the United States have reached 68,573 as of March 26. And New York has the most cases today with 32,539 active cases, reports Worldometer.
Moreover, Carl Lentz isn’t the only pastor or Christian figure in the U.S. affected by the contagious disease. Pastor Mark Palenske of Greers Ferry First Assembly in Arkansas and his wife Dena also tested positive. On top of that, 30 other church members were also infected. And according to The Christian Post, one who had “significant medical history” regarding respiratory and cardio systems died from the virus.
“There was very little in my training for the ministry that covered the full measure of what our church family has dealt with in the past few weeks,” Pastor Mark said in a statement on Facebook Sunday.
Advice From Christian Figures Infected By The Virus
The pastor pointed out about taking COVID-19 seriously. “The intensity of this virus has been underestimated by so many, and I continue to ask that each of you take it very seriously. An act of wisdom and restraint on your part can be the blessing that preserves the health of someone else,” he stressed.
Christian singer Sandi Patty, who also tested positive urged everyone to “take the pandemic seriously.” Also, she encouraged her fans to take precautionary measures in order to avoid being infected.
“This is not fake news. This is real,” the 63-year-old said. Then she continued, “This is everything they say it is, and we’ve got to take it seriously,”
She also posted on Instagram warning the people saying, “If you are not already practicing social distancing and STAYING HOME, DO SO NOW! This is what we can all do. This is how we stop the spread. God has given us faith, but he’s also given us wisdom.”
