The Hezbollah soldier who encountered Jesus Christ in his prison is now a pastor in Canada.

Being a devout Muslim trying to fight for Allah, Hashfin Javid joined Hezbollah during his early teens to protect Lebanon in the 1980s. He served the terrorist group for three years until he was arrested in Malaysia for carrying illegal passports.
While meditating on verses from the Quran in prison, he suddenly felt the presence of a demonic being. He was so fearful and immediately asked God for help. He then heard a voice telling him to call the name of Jesus.
“Jesus if You are true, show me Your self,” he said in an instant.

Encounter with Jesus
The demonic spirit suddenly vanished after he called on the name of Jesus. He believed Jesus was only a prophet so he was confused about why is there a power in His name. Out of curiosity, he fasted and prayed for God to show Himself but he was enraged after he didn’t receive any answer. But suddenly one night, Hashfin encountered Jesus inside his prison cell.
“Then I felt the whole room felt with the Holy presence of God, it is as if time stopped. You know these things about God without Him ever saying anything to you. The first thing about Him that I knew was His holiness. I knew that He was a holy God,” he recalled.
He then felt a touch on his left shoulder and heard a voice saying, “I forgive you.” Confused and not understanding, he asked the voice, “Who are you to forgive me?” The voice then answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The Lord then revealed Himself as Jesus.
Hashfin fell on the floor weeping as he repented for his sins and accepted Jesus Christ at that moment. From that moment on, his life completely changed. He is now a pastor at Vancouver Christian Fellowship and preaches the Gospel.
