Carson, a 3-year-old boy, shared what he’s learned in Sunday school in a recent Instagram post. He enthusiastically shares the story of Paul and Silas.
3-Year-Old Boy Shares A Lesson
Carson’s mother, Haley, was excited to see how Carson remembered his Sunday school lesson.
“Carson was able to tell me his Bible lesson after church on Sunday, and it was the cutest thing,” she said.
Hayley asked her son, “Tell me what you learned in church today.”
“Paul and Silas were in jail, and… sour,” was Carson’s reply.
Haley: What happened to them in jail?
Carson: The ground started to shake. And they went in to tell the guard…

Halye: What did they tell the guard?
Carson: About Jesus. He brings joy, peace, and love.
It’s very inspiring to see children learning more about God at such an early age!

His mother couldn’t help but share Carson’s video and her prayer for her kids.
“I’ve been meaning to share this since Sunday, but it’s been a little busy! I am so proud of Carson and so impressed with @themet_kids and what they’re teaching. At just 3 years old, he knows the story of Paul and Silas when they were in jail. And although an earthquake allowed the prisoners to be set free, Paul and Silas chose not to escape. Instead, they chose to praise the Lord and lead the jail guard to Christ! They were able to find JOY in Christ in the midst of a hard time.
“I pray that my children will always find joy in Christ and then share that joy with others!” Haley said.
Verses For Kids
There are many verses in the Bible that talk about how to raise children who have reverence for the Lord, just like Carson. Your children can be an inspiration, too! So, may these verses inspire you to partner with God in raising your child:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13).
“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3).
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
“Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad” (Proverbs 29:17).
