Nancy Dufresne talked about the importance of someone’s thoughts. She emphasized that their miracle was as easy as a shift of their attention.

The pastor of World Harvest Church, Nancy Dufresne, preached about directing someone’s attention to the Word of God. She emphasized, “Your miracle is as easy as a shift of your attention.” Then, she recalled an experience she had in her early 20s when her mind was so bombarded. She tried to get rid of her thoughts. But later on, she realized that it was not her job to get rid of her thoughts. Rather, she recognized that it was her responsibility to replace them.
“If you pour the right thought in, there’s no room for the wrong thought,” she mentioned. She then explained that Jesus said, “Now, are you made clean through my word.” It meant that the word of God could cleanse someone’s soul. She encouraged the congregation to immerse themselves in God’s word every day, as it would cleanse their pain, diseases, or symptoms.

A Shift Of Your Attention
Furthermore, she believed that the word of God was a cleansing agent. She then shared, “The wrong route is to talk it out. The right route is to clean it out with the word. Because when people say, ‘Well, I’ve got to let it out,’ you’re really letting it in. You’re really letting it in cause whatever your attention is on is what’s going in.”
Moreover, she recalled a story of a girl who was involved with evil gangs. Sadly, the devil was trying to control her. A minister cast the devil out of her, and she returned to the church. As she was growing spiritually, she was tempted and faced the same problems again. Later on, the minister discovered that the girl planned to make a movie about her life, so she needed to retell her story. This became a pathway for the enemy to try to destroy her once again.
After sharing the sad story, she highlighted, “You can’t deal with that mess through the soul and get free. You have to deal with it through the spirit. The spirit is, you pour the word in, and the word cleans it out. Then you get your notice and your attention off of it and pour the word in. And that cleans it out.”
