A family received an amazing “blessing” from their favorite football team after their 7-year-old son was cruelly pranked.
7-year-old Brody Kirk
7-year-old Brody Kirk is an avid fan of the Alabama football team. He so loved the football team that he shed tears of joy when the team scored their first 66-yard touchdown pass by quarterback Mac Jones on last week’s Iron Bowl game.
Amazed by his son’s excitement, Brody’s dad, Cody Kirk, posted a video of that moment on social media. After a few moments, a cruel prankster called the Kirks disguising himself as a University of Alabama employee. The unidentified person gave Brody a fake invitation to come to meet the team he loved. The prank upset him very much.
Cruel Prank
Upon learning about how her son was cruelly pranked, Brooke Kirk, posted about the event on her social media. She was surprised by the support they received from those who read about their story. Apparently, Greg Bryne, the Athletic Director of the University of Alabama, learned about the incident and decided to take action.
He reached out to comfort the young boy. Then Greg sent Brody a surprise. The package was filled with the Alabama football team’s items including a football signed by Saban and his wife. There is also a picture with the autograph of the popular coach.
Blessing
Brooke is calling the gift a blessing from God and she believes that it was God who turned the awful situation into a joyful one.
“Brody was so excited and so incredibly thankful for this sweet gift!” she continued. “This was just another amazing example of how God works all things for the good of those who love Him. He took this crude prank that someone played on our 7 year old and turned it into a blessing that made my sweet boy so happy. We didn’t avenge. God did. He got the last laugh and we got a ’Bama blessing. God bless and roll tide!”
