Selena Gomez shared her heart on Instagram about her recent trip to Kenya, saying “Serving is the greatest gift”.
After the success of her new album, the 27-year-old star is up to making new memories. In recent years, Selena Gomez opened up about her struggles with anxiety, depression, and battling lupus. Through it all she spoke of how her faith was carrying her. Today, Selena is stronger, braver, and filled with hope because she put her trust in Jesus.

As one of the most followed celebrities on Instagram, Selena definitely uses her platform to speak from the heart.
She wrote, “I have so much to share about my trip to Kenya, London and Paris. I wanted to be in every single moment so I’ll share so much more when I get home. This trip was about others… which makes it way more meaningful. Serving is the greatest gift.”

Selena collaborated with WE Movement, a charity organization, for her trip to Kenya all for one reason: to bless others.
Beautiful Time Spent At Kenya
Selena revealed through her stories how she had an amazing time at Kenya.
“I haven’t been posting pictures because I had a really beautiful time in Kenya and my focus was there. I’ve been a bit busy since I’ve been back,” she wrote in her Instagram story.

“I wanted to let you know that I’ll share some of the amazing stories about my experience because it was amazing for me. I’ll post a few pictures and then we will go back to the regularly scheduled program,” the star explained.
The pictures Selena revealed in her trip involved women, students, an elephant and some people from the country.

She also wrote in another post, “I will share so many of these stories and voices. Voices that need to be heard. We are working on something so special that will hopefully change so many lives.”
The star then commended the WE Movement organization, “This is all I can post for now. @wemovement you do INCREDIBLE things and I’m honored to be apart of the family! Just the beginning.. my heart will be dedicated to people and serving.”
Close friend Raquelle Stevens, who was with Selena Gomez on the trip, hinted what they did in the country through a post. She wrote, “During one of our afternoons, we had the opportunity to bead jewelry with a group of local mamas. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, we had the best time together and were able to connect through eye contact, smiles, laughter, and hugs.”
