In the video, Nancy held her mother’s hand while she was lying in her bed. She sang a worship hymn by Rufus H. Cornelius, “Oh, I Want to See Him,” with her eyes closed. One could hear the daughter and other family members crying as they listened.

Choosing To Worship God

But even in those final moments, she chose to worship the Lord with all her heart.

“Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face,” she sang. “There to sing forever of His saving grace; On the streets of glory let me lift my voice, cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.”

It was a heartbreaking scene for the entire family. Nancy wrote, “Momma leading her last song service, her last Sunday on this earth.”

Apparently, her mom had been serving her local church for over 50 years. She found joy in praising the Lord.

“Worship leaders are NEVER TOO OLD to lead Gods Music,” Nancy remarked. “My Beautiful Mother singing her way home.”

Grandma With Dementia Never Forgets To Praise God

A grandma with dementia blessed thousands of viewers in Tiktok when her granddaughter recorded her praising God. She may forget everything else, but she never forgets to praise God.

There have been several famous grandmothers on the social media platform, Tiktok. Some are known because of their beauty despite their age. And some are famous because of their dance grooves to trendy songs. But Kiarre McGee’s grandmother gained more than a thousand likes because of what she does best: praising God.

One video showed how granny was resting on the couch, and her arms were lifted up. She kept on praising God and even clapped her hands. Kiarre captioned, “My grandma struggles with dementia, but one thing she never forgets how to praise God and knowing where her strength comes from.”

Another video showed granny singing hymns together with her family. “Dementia can’t stop my grandma from remembering those old hymns that got her through.”

Moreover, granny would keep active by doing laps inside their house. And at the same time, she still doesn’t forget to praise God. She thanks God through and through.

Granny’s faith has prompted other believers to do the same. One commenter said, “This leaves us with NO EXCUSE! Thank you, Granny, for provoking me to do better.”

While other commenters shared their memories with their grandmas, who are also forgetful but never to God.

Aleshia Washington related to Kiarre and recalled her grandma, too. She said, “My grandma had Alzheimer’s, and she never forgot God either, even when she forgot everything else. It’s an amazing thing.”

Meanwhile, others commented that Kiarre’s videos had blessed their souls. One shared, “No matter what the situation is, always give God praise. Thank you, Ki, for sharing.”

Indeed, Granny has blessed us and glorified God even in her situation. I know for sure that I want to be like granny. One day, when I grow old, I want to be seen praising God, too, until my last breath here on earth.

Woman Trapped Inside Burning Car Thanks God For Sending A Good Samaritan

A grandma is grateful to God for sending a Good Samaritan her way to rescue her when her car suddenly burst into flames, and she couldn’t get out.

Kristine Smith, her granddaughter, and her husband were in the car last Wednesday when they suddenly heard a “pop.” The next thing they knew, the car was already engulfed with flames. It burst too quickly that Kristine couldn’t get out of the car because she recently had knee surgery.

This grandma thought that was the end for her because of the car’s raging inferno. And she thought no one would dare stop to help her. But she was wrong because God sent her a Good Samaritan.

“It could have blown at any time. It went that fast,” the elderly told KCRA-TV. “I wasn’t thinking of anybody stopping in that situation because the fire was so big.”

God Sends Someone To Rescue Grandma

Elton Ward apparently passed by the road with his daughter when they saw the vehicle in flames. He immediately pulled over to help and rushed towards the burning car. He risked his own life and pulled Kristine out of the car without any hesitation.

“We see this car in flames, so I’m like, ‘That’s insane,'” Elton told KCRA-TV. “Literally in a matter of 30 seconds, boom, first explosion, loud, big, big explosion.”

Then he continued, “Then when that explosion happened, huge flames came up.”

Elton successfully pulled out Kristine to safety. Afterwards, she thanked God for sending him her way to rescue her.

“Thank the good Lord, He sent me a good Samaritan that stopped for me,” she testified.

Later on, the two reunited, and Kristine thanked Elton for his kindness. They became close after the life-threatening incident, and both plan to keep in touch.

The grateful grandma told Elton, “You became my grandson that day.”

In 2019, a deadly tornado hit some parts of Alabama. It tore and devastated many homes that led to the death of 22 people in the community. But behind the tragic loss and devastation was also a silver lining when an entire family was saved.

In a public post shared by Jason Smith who is a member of the response team in the community, a miracle happened to a certain family. Apparently, amid the storm, the whole family hid inside their grandmother’s prayer closet. It was the only place they took shelter in, and after the storm passed, it was the only part of the house that stood still.

The photo revealed how everything disappeared in the family’s house except the prayer closet. It remained intact to the ground. And as a result, the entire family was safe and unhurt. They all survived the deadly tornado.

Jason wrote, “Listen to me please. I just left a family who survived the tornado in this house and the only left standing is this closet. It’s the grandmother’s prayer closet, and the whole family survived. Are you kiddin me!!! My God is awesome!!! Shout somebody!”

The powerful testimony encouraged and blessed thousands. It has reached over 65,000 reactions and over 100,000 shares on Facebook.

We can say God is indeed our hiding place, our fortress when we’re afraid through this story. That He alone is our refuge, and we can always run to Him in times of trouble.

Netflix took an interest in the true life story about the Arizona grandma who accidentally invited a stranger to Thanksgiving and is making a feature film about it. And the grandma says, “We are so blessed.”

This month, Netflix announced their newest feature movie, “The Thanksgiving Text.” It recounts the unexpected friendship between Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton, who was still 17-years-old when they first met.

In 2016, the elderly sent a text message to the wrong number on Thanksgiving day, intended for her grandson. But instead, she accidentally sent it to a stranger.

Meanwhile, Jamal was sitting in his class when he received a surprising text message from a stranger who claimed to be his grandma. Thus, he replied with a selfie, informing her he wasn’t her grandson. But Jamal still asked if he could join them for Thanksgiving dinner and the kindhearted grandma accepted him.

“Of course you can. That’s what grandmas do…feed everyone!” Wanda told Jamal heartwarmingly back then.

Netflix Will Make A Movie

Since then, the grandma and the teen built friendship and treated each other like family. Also, today, both are still celebrating Thanksgiving together for the sixth year in a row.

It’s amazing how the unintentional text message turned into a beautiful friendship. And perhaps that’s how Netflix took notice of their true life story and invited them to make a movie from it.

“We are excited to share our story with the world,” Wanda and Jamal excitingly said in a statement. “Hope it inspires more people to reach out and make connections that they wouldn’t ordinarily make. We are so blessed to find a genuine friendship brought together by God from a mistaken text message.”

According to Variety,” “The Thanksgiving Text” will be written by Abdul Williams and produced by Robert Teitel and George Tillman Jr. Its film executive producer is Lawrence Mott.

The Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 took the lives of 168 people, including Kathy Sanders’ grandsons. But God soon led her to forgive the bombers that eventually led one bomber to know Jesus.

On April 19, 1995, it was one beautiful morning when Kathy Sanders and her daughter, Edie, dropped their little boys at daycare school. Both of them worked just a couple of blocks away from the daycare center building. A few hours later, a bomb went off, and they ran down the building. They entered the twilight zone and saw the Murrah building destroyed. Then one after another, a bomb blew up again.

Kathy and Edie then looked at the building where the daycare center was, and all they saw was a pile of rubble. The mom fell to her knees weeping, “my babies, my babies!”

Pain And Questioning God

The pain of losing grandchildren was devastating for Kathy. Adding to the pain of losing her grandsons was watching her daughter, Edie, suffer. It became the darkest moment of her life to the point of wanting to kill herself for the first time. More so, she found it hard to pray.

“How could the good and loving God that I had always loved and served, how would He let this happen to me?” she thought at that moment.

Until Kathy finally cried out to God, asking Him to help her get through the circumstance she couldn’t grasp or understand. She told Him, “If You’re out there Lord and You’re real, You’re going to have to help me.”

Soon after, suspects Terry Nichols and Timothy Mcveigh were arrested for their heinous crime. Kathy sought the truth on the Oklahoma City bombing. And while searching for the truth, the grandma concluded it wasn’t God who took away her grandsons. Instead, God received them when they came home to heaven.

God then led Kathy to forgive the people who murdered her grandsons. And what happened next led one of the suspects to accept Jesus in his heart.

PJ is the 11-year-old hero who helped save his beloved grandma Angela Brewer-Laye. Apparently, she suffered a low blood pressure spell while exercising. She was a mile and a half from the house when she started to feel shaky and got spots in her vision.

Her grandson PJ was playing outside their house when the incident happened. Angela says he often plays outside. To her surprise, he took action without hesitation and must have noticed his grandma’s condition from afar.

Child Drives For Medical Emergency

Without delay, PJ took Angela’s Mercedes Benz car and drove it. When asked why he chose that car, he said it was because it’s the closest keys he could find. He steered the car while the grandma tried to steady herself in the road.

“I saw my Mercedes Benz coming towards me,” she told 11Alive. And when she looked inside the car who was driving, it was her grandson!

Despite the medical emergency, “PJ was cool and collected behind the wheels” described Angela. “He drove like a pro.” Moreover, he grabbed the glucose tests and peanut butter crackers to help her on the ride to the hospital.

The grandson amazed his grandma in how he handled the car so well. So, she took a video of his skills after she recovered.

When Angela asked him how he did that, he said, her husband asked him to move cars in the yard before. “But never in the street and never by himself.”

“He is an extra special little boy and he doesn’t ask for anything in return,” stated the very proud grandmother.

This is absolutely a miracle. Praise God!

May Abboud Melki’s home is one of the many homes and buildings that have been destroyed by the blast that happened on Tuesday. While the world is filled with grief at this unfortunate event, this grandma “was seen by some as a sign of hope and resilience amid the rubble” according to ABC News.

Her granddaughter May-Lee Meliki shared the touching video of her grandma on Facebook. She described the moment as “beauty from ashes,” revealing that her grandma was “pushing through her pain.”

In the video, the Lebanese grandmother sat at the piano and played “Auld Lang Syne” for her family. It went viral and has now more than one million views and 21,000 shares in just 19 hours. The captured moment moved thousands and everyone showed their heartfelt support to Lebanon.

A Facebook user named Sara Hussein El Bizri commented. She wrote, “Thank you so much for sharing this video of your grandmother” while adding she’s glad that she’s unharmed. Then she said, “In a time of despair, we all need a glimpse of hope.”

Another said, “More power and strength to you ❤️ God this is breaking my heart into pieces,” by Zainab Naseem Sheikh.

Apparently, the granddaughter was able to play the piano less than a day after the huge explosion.

Lebanon Explosion

The Beirut blast came from highly explosive substances called ammonium nitrate. The warehouse managers apparently stored over 2,700 tons in there. According to the Lebanon Health Minister Hamad Hassan, the explosion killed “at least 135 people.” It injured more than 5,000 and many others are still missing as well. The exact cause of the explosion remains unknown. But authorities are already investigating.

Wednesday, U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper, revealed that “most believe it was an accident, as reported.”

Beirut’s Governor Marwan Abboud said that a large portion of the city has been leveled and it leaving thousands of citizens homeless.

Continue to pray for Lebanon, including their Government leaders. The country is already facing an economic and health crisis before the explosion occurred. And most especially, pray for the victims and the families of those who died.

It is known to all that elderly people are most likely to be at risk when encountering COVID-19. That is why seniors are advised to be extra safe and careful. However, one elderly woman from Chicago, Illinois is making a difference.

Teresa Provo, also known as Grandma Terry, is making headlines for her selfless act amid the pandemic crisis. Unlike some who were demanding help, she never complained nor waited for anyone to come along and help her. Instead, the moment she heard that there was a shortage of masks and everything was on lockdown, she took the initiative to help. She immediately thought of her family and other people around the world and responded to the need.

This 89-year-old woman saw the crisis as an opportunity to aid others. And she began making her own masks because her first thought was to protect others when the pandemic broke out.

“First, she found all of the fabric she could. Then she proceeded to sew masks for all of her family members and friends — adding up to about 50 masks total,” reported Shareably.

The selfless grandma then mailed everyone all over the country from Chicago, Wisconsin, Florida, Minnesota and California that her masks are all ready to go.

Proactive To Help

Despite the threat in her health for people like her age, Grandma Terry never resorted to the full-on panic mode. Amazingly, she became proactive to help others in any way that she could.

Moreover, she even went the extra mile to personalize each mask according to the person’s favorite sports team. Also, the sweet grandma included handwritten notes.

The news went around about her doing such a noble act. So when a group of elderly people called “Red Hat Club” heard of what she did, they decided to join her cause. Now, Grandma Terry, along with the Red Hat Club, made masks for the nursing home residents in Chicago, Illinois. As a result, they made over 600 masks.

“It took us two weeks, but we get ‘em done,” she said. “I’m still working on some.”

Apparently, Grandma Terry is making sewing her hobby in this time of isolation. She is indulging herself towards her sewing machine which has “basically been a savior during this time.”

Jamal Hinton and Grandma Wanda Dench have a unique friendship. They started off as strangers after Wanda sent a text message to the wrong number which happened to be Jamal’s on Thanksgiving day.

In 2016, the Grandma sent a invitation to Thanksgiving dinner that intended for her grandson. However, she sent it to a stranger instead. Jamal was 17 years old at the time. He was sitting in class when he received the invitation. He was puzzled by the text from someone claiming to be his Grandma. He replied back with a selfie. Jamal let Wanda know he wasn’t her grandson. But he asked if he could still join them for Thanksgiving dinner.

Sharing A Thanksgiving Meal With A New Friend

Interestingly, Jamal showed up and joined Wanda’s family for Thanksgiving. They immediately became great friends.

“He was just as nice as can be. We got to eat food, and he told me about his plans for the future, and I’m just so excited for him.” Wanda told CNN in 2016.

Jamal also commended her in an interview with Time, “She’s a great cook and she’s a great person to just hang out with.”

 Since then, the Arizona Grandma and Jamal have shared Thanksgivings together. However, in 2019 Jamal and his girlfriend Mikaela joined Wanda and her family for the celebration.

“Mikaela, his girlfriend, invited us over to her aunt’s house for Thanksgiving, and I said yes before I even think she finished her sentence,” said Wanda excitedly, now 62 years old.

“So I am excited to go to her aunt’s house and meet everybody and not have to cook,” she told TODAY.

Over the past few years, the two strangers have become close friends. They have even gone on double dates together. And above all, their story is an inspiration to others. 

“The first dinner, I don’t think we really got to talk that much, because it was so much going on at the moment. But after that, when we actually got to sit down and have dinner and get to know each other, it was actually pretty great,” Jamal told TODAY.

He concluded, “I love it. I love how people are coming together and seeing the good in this story, and how much the world loves it. It’s great vibes.”
