Lady A’s co-lead singer Hillary Scott shared a powerful message of hope to everyone with her Grammy-nominated Christian music single alongside the duo for KING & COUNTRY.

Gospel singer Hillary Scott and the Christian duo for KING & COUNTRY’s single “For God Is With Us,” has been nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. The song is about the hope that God is with us. On Sunday, during the Grammy Red Carpet, Hillary expressed her gratitude for being a part of this year’s Grammy. She also shared the message they wanted to convey through their music.
“This song is just an important message,” she said. “It’s about the bringer of hope, where we find our hope, and to be able to tell this story and hopefully point others to finding that hope themselves just really is important. Now more than ever the world needs this message.”

She also said in the interview how she admired Luke and Joel Smallbone for “the way that they share this message and the way that they write about it.” Hillary considers it a “real gift” to be working with them.
It was “really special to be nominated for a song that is just such an important message for the world.”
Grammy-nominated
The 36-year-old singer then recalled how she wanted to say “hi” to singer Bonnie Raitt during the first Grammys she attended, but she was terrified to do so.
“It’s just inspiring to be in these spaces with these incredible talents and for her specifically. One of my favorite songs in the world is a Bonnie Raitt song, so to be able to have that moment was just really over the top.”
