Grace Community Church pastor John MacArthur is now “doing well” after missing the second Sunday service due to illness.
Pastor John MacArthur
On Sunday, pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California missed the second church service due to an illness. His absence drew concern from the congregation. According to the claims of a church’s elders, the pastor has been under the weather for the past week.
“Just so you know, Pastor John had a bug this week and preached our first hour but asked if he might be able to take a break for the second hour. So Mike Riccardi is going to be answering the call. It’s pretty amazing we have guys with sermons in their Bibles wherever you go, and so Mike’s going to be here,” the Great Community Church elder said.
“Doing well”
Thankfully, he is now doing well after a medical check-up, he just needs some rest after a busy holiday season. The church released a public statement regarding the pastor’s well-being on Monday.
“Many of you are praying for Pastor John’s health due to his absence from the pulpit during the second service. We are pleased to report that he is doing well. He saw a doctor on Sunday afternoon and he is in good health, and just needs rest from a busy holiday week,” the church’s website wrote.
The church also expressed its gratitude to everyone who prayed for pastor John’s health.
“Thank you for your continued prayers for Pastor John,” they added.
