Malakai Bayoh is a 13-year-old boy from London who has dreamed of becoming a great singer. He started to be fond of singing after his mom enrolled him in choir at seven years old. Since then, he has pursued the path to becoming a great singer. In his audition for Britain’s Got Talent, the 13 years old boy astounded the crowd.

The crowd was shocked as Malakai sang out on Britain’s Got Talent stage. He performed the Latin hymn ‘Pie Jesu.’ The 13-year-old sang the song with its Latin lyrics, with the meaning: “Merciful Jesus who takes away the sins of the world. Grant them rest, everlasting rest.”

Angelic Voice Gets Golden Buzzer

After Malakai’s performance, the boy received a standing ovation and shouts of cheer and applause from the crowd. Judge Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli even stood for him.

In the end, Simon, the judge known for being hard to please, pressed the Golden Buzzer for the 13-year-old.

Meanwhile, Judge Amanda commented, “that was a stunning performance. Totally flawless. Very composed.”

Alesha Dixon remarked that Malakai’s performance made her “trance.” And Simon agreed, saying that he was like in heaven when he heard him.

It also moved Judge Bruno to tears that he told him, “you sound like an angel!”

A YouTuber, Ayo man, commented, “Such a beautiful voice from such a young boy. Simon definitely made the right decision. This boy has a bright future.”

Another wrote, “He truly has the most angelic voice, and his innocence and humility made his performance even better. Very well deserved golden buzzer.”

These verses came to life when the Sunshine Gospel Choir joyfully performed on the stage of Italy’s Got Talent.

The room was silent at first, no one was expecting anything special to happen. They had been seeing different choirs performing on stage the whole night.

So, imagine their shock when the Sunshine Gospel Choir immediately started singing in harmony!

They instantly caught the attention of the audience and judges the moment they opened their mouths, and the group was wearing gold-yellow regalia so they instantly stood out.

It wasn’t the usual choir setup. They had three main lead singers, accompanied by a complete band and a director, so it was a full-stage performance!

Their joyful singing was a picture of heaven. No wonder they got a standing ovation from the audience and judges. And of course, a well-deserved golden buzzer!

The Sunshine Gospel Choir is conducted by Alex Negro, the minister, and director of the group. They have an academy for gospel singing courses or any singing lessons. The Sunshine Gospel Choir has been the most representative and one of the best Gospel music choirs in Italy for twenty years. They are dedicated to their only passion, and which is, “To warm hearts and fill them with joy.”

And that’s exactly what their performance was about!

An 11-years-old’s rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ received the sought-after ‘golden buzzer’ in America’s Got Talent. As a result, Madison Baez Taylor clinched a spot in the show’s live semi-finals because of her incredible voice.

Before she was put on stage, the show’s crew worked with Madison and placed her among the audience. During commercial breaks, an emcee would ask someone from the crowd to sing. When Madison was selected, she gave a performance worth remembering.

She sang ‘Amazing Grace,’ and her version caught the judges’ attention. Simon Cowell, known for being critical of the performers, gaped his mouth in amazement at Madison. He prompted the young powerhouse to go in front of the stage.

“I’ve been to many tapings, and ever since I was four years old, I would always try and sing for the commercial breaks,” Madison said. “And it’s always been my dream to be on the show. And I’m finally here.”

When asked how she would spend the $1 million if she won, the young singer said she would help her cancer patient father. “I would help my dad with cancer research,” she said. “He’s had stage four colon cancer for the past nine years.”

She was once again requested to sing, and so she did. It earned her a standing ovation from the audience and the judges.

Her jaw-dropping performance compelled judge Howie Mendell to press the ‘Golden Buzzer,’ making her one of the AGT’s semi-finalists.

The experience made her emotional, and she couldn’t help but cry.

Her father then joined her on stage and explained how Madison learned to sing. “I’ve been battling cancer for the last nine years, and that’s how she learned to sing. She would sing to me at the hospital throughout my surgeries, throughout my chemo treatments.”

He continued, “She’d sing to me and helping me get better, and I’m doing very well.”

Howie commented to Madison, “Everybody is going to know your name, young lady. Your life has just changed.”

Nightbirde Gets Golden Buzzer

Jane, or as she calls herself “Nightbirde” when she sings, is from Zanesville, Ohio. Apparently, the 30-year-old is currently battling cancer, and she has only a year to live. When Simon Cowell asked how she’s doing, Jane responded calmly, saying, “last time I checked I had some cancer in my lungs, my spine, and my liver.”

The AGT judges were surprised, because Jane didn’t look sick. Howie Mandel even commended her beautiful smile and glow that nobody would know.

“It’s important that everyone knows I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me,” she said positively.

Her Faith in God

Jane is a person who loves God. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I don’t think it’s meaningless, the story that says God sculpted us from clay.. Maybe we have forgotten what God showed us when He first introduced Himself—that He will crawl into the dirt to be near to us, and He will fill our lungs with air when we don’t know how to breathe.”

Also, in another post, she wrote, “Jesus is worth whatever it is you’re scared of losing.”

Golden Buzzer For Her Original Song

Nightbirde performed her original song, “It’s Okay,” which blew everyone away. It was a song she wrote in the last year of her life. Before she started to sing, she looked up with a smile, and her confidence radiated in the whole room. It was as if she found freedom with what she was doing.

The chorus of her song instilled hope amidst being lost. And it’s okay not to be okay. She sang, “Oh my, now I can’t hide. Said I knew myself but I guess I lied. It’s okay. If you’re lost, we’re all a little lost and it’s alright.”

And when Jane ended her performance, both the AGT crowd and the judges were speechless and gave a standing ovation. The authenticity of her music resonated to everyone’s heart that it made Simon Cowell, the well-known hard-to-please judge, emotional. It moved him to the core that he gave her a well-deserved Golden Buzzer!

Her Message

Moreover, Jane left remarkable words on stage. She said, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” Then she added at the end, “I have a 2% chance of survival, but 2% isn’t zero. Two percent is something. And I wish people knew how amazing it is.”

AGT’s First-Ever Spoken Word Artist Gets The Golden Buzzer For Emotional Tribute To His Late Sister

America’s Got Talent had their very first ever spoken word artist as a contestant on last week’s episode. Spoken word artist Brandon Leake got the Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel for his emotional tribute to his late sister.

Brandon Leake’s baby sister was born when he was just four, but his sister died just 8 months later. With just a short time of being together, Brandon learned to love her so much. It has been 23 years since his sister passed away, he stepped on the stages of America’s Got Talent to pay a tribute to her though a heart-moving performance.

“Love is the most vulnerable thing one will ever have,” Brandon said as he started his spoken word. “And you must learn to hold on to it loosely so when it leaves, it won’t exist so painfully.”

He then proceeded on telling the story of how wonderful his sister was and how much he loved her. And then things got emotional when he described how painful is was to lose her.

Brandon ended his spoken word with a powerful message: “I know I said earlier to hold on to love loosely so when it leaves it won’t exit so painfully. But if pain and these memories are all that I’ve got left of you, I won’t ever regret these scars for just trying to hold on to you.”

One of this season’s judges Sophia Vergara also shared the same experience with Brandon because her brother also passed away.

“My brother passed away the same year that your sister passed away,” Sophia said. “I can feel your pain, I know what this is. I know what it feels like to have somebody taken from you without you knowing. But it was very beautiful to me.”

With his unique and moving performance, Howie Mandel decided to give him the Golden Buzzer and send him straight to the live show.

“It’s amazing to me that on season 15, it’s the first time that we’re hearing somebody of the spoken word. There is something more raw in the way. It’s like singing and talking and just being a human, A cappella. No music, no nothing, just a raw heart beating in front of us. We feel your pain, we feel your love, and you moved me to do this,” Howie said to Brandon.

The choral group “Voices of Our City Choir,” which is composed of homeless people, got the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent auditions.

Voices Of Our City Choir

The “Voices of Our City Choir” started in 2016 for people experiencing homelessness in San Diego. It was founded by jazz singer-guitarist Steph Johnson after meeting homeless people with great talents in her neighborhood.

“Homelessness doesn’t just fit one skin color, one age bracket… I’ve had a lot of bad experiences out there. Beaten up, robbed, but who is going to listen to me,” choir member Patricia asked during the interview prior to their performance. “I thanked God for Voices Of Our City Choir. Somebody wants to hear from me and not be saying it loud.”

America’s Got Talent

On the debut episode of America’s Got Talent season 15, the choir performed an original song titled “Sounds of the Sidewalk.” The episode was pre-filmed prior to the outbreak of the pandemic in the US.

The “Voices of Our City Choir” gave an exceptional performance that earned them a standing ovation from the judges and audience. Fan-favorite judge Howie Mandel expressed how the group blew him away with their emotional performance.

“Homelessness is pervasive I think all over the world but it’s huge in this country. And we need to solve this problem and we need to come together. I have to say who you are and why you’re doing it and what you’re doing does blow me and the entire audience away,” Howie commented on their performance.

Right before the four judges give their votes, America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews stepped on the stage. And said, “what they did today has moved me to this point right now,” before pressing the Golden Buzzer.

Bullied 11-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Earns Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer

11-year-old cancer survivor, Tyler Butler-Figueroa proved his bullies wrong during the June 11 episode of NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent,’ when top judge, Simon Cowell pressed his golden buzzer. This means he goest through to perform at the LIVE shows in Hollywood.

Tyler, who is a violinist wowed the crowd with his dazzling performance to the music of Stronger by Kelly Clarkson. The lyrics of the song include the words, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller…”

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Tyler Butler-Figueroa was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of four. He battled for his life at this young age and later had to face further struggles at school when he was bullied by his classmates for being different to them.

Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Fortunately, acute lymphoblastic leukemia has a 90% rate of survival among children. About 98% of children suffering from leukemia will go into remission after treatment.

It was during a family dinner that Tyler’s mom noticed that something wasn’t right with him. She took him to the emergency room at the hospital and the diagnosis that followed was the most horrifying moment for any mother to receive such news.

“One day we were out to dinner and I said, ‘Something doesn’t look right with Tyler.’ He turned kinda pale so a mother’s instinct said, ‘Let me take him to the emergency room,’” Tyler’s mother said.

After a series of tests, the horrific news was out.

“The doctors came in and they said, ‘Yeah, he does have cancer,’” she added.

Tyler went into chemotherapy that resulted in him losing his hair. It was then that he experienced being bullied.

“When I lost my hair, I was really sad and embarrassed at the same time to go to school. They used to make fun of me and laugh at me because I was different,” Tyler said in an interview on America’s Got Talent.

But after a few years, the cancer survivor found happiness again through learning to play the violin. He started to attend free violin classes after school.

“When I play the violin, it helps me forget about all the bad stuff. I just didn’t want to be the kid with cancer. So now I am the kid who plays the violin,” Tyler said.

Today, Tyler’s name is going to be known all over the world for his amazing talent! He is such an example to everyone not to give up and silence your critics by using your God-given talents to the full.

Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer Champion Reveals A Woman Who Truly Fears God

28-year-old Kechi Okwuchi from Houston, Texas is back on stage again with America’s Got Talent The Champions Series 2019. This time, her powerful performance got a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell! The show is a spin-off of America’s Got Talent and premiered on January 7, 2019. It features previous winners, finalists and other successful contestants over seven episodes.

Kechi was a plane crash survivor when she was 16-years-old, during the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005. She was the only child survivor from her school which had 60 children aboard. Because of the crash, almost 65% of her body got third degree burns. Moreover, she was in a coma for a very long time and went through over 100 treatments and surgeries.

While Kechi was in coma, her Mom sang a Nigerian hymn to her every day. It was then that she woke up and that was the only song that had stuck in her mind. The lyric of the song goes like:

“Wonderful and marvelous is Jesus to me. Sweeter than honey and the honeycomb is He.”

According to Kechi, it was the most difficult and painful moment of her life. There also came a time when the doctors couldn’t do anything more for her. Not even a pain medication could ease her. She was exhausted, tired, and depressed. For three days, she couldn’t sleep feeling sorry for herself. Even her mom couldn’t comfort her anymore. Kechi’s grandmother then tried to talk to her.

Over the phone she told her, “Kechi, you need to get out of your head that God is this big abstract being or form that is just out there and you’re not sure if He’s listening or not, or if He cares or He doesn’t. You know, that’s not who God is. He’s your Father who actually cares for you. He wants good things for you. He’s gonna listen to you if you talk. That’s who He is. So think about Him like you would think about your dad. And just talk to Him the same exact way.”

Immediately, Kechi started her first conversation with God. She kept talking and praying. The next thing she knew, she woke up the next morning feeling better. Likewise, her mom was kind of surprised to see her face brightened. It was mind-boggling for Kechi, but ever since that day, she knew deep inside that God was there. And her life subsequently changed.

“There are some things that are internal that medication cannot reach. It was from there that my faith developed and it’s still growing till today,” Kechi said.

Then she added, “You know I fall everyday, but I know that whenever I get up, He’s there.”

In the midst of the darkness that Kechi felt in that excruciating experience, she found God. She found hope and courage to live, and get through what she was going through day by day.

Today, she is encouraging millions of people on the America’s Got Talent stage again. The well-known, hard to please judge Simon Cowell can’t help but give her a Golden Buzzer for her awesome performance.

Indeed, God still has a purpose for Kechi’s life. Perhaps, that is to showcase hope to millions of discouraged, frustrated people, and make an impact to the world.

And truly, God’s Word is alive when He said that He would turn our mourning into dancing. This is evident in Kechi’s life.

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy” (Psalm 30:11)

Plane Crash Survivor Kechi Gets A Golden Buzzer From Simon Cowell

Christian Singer, Kechi, who survived a plane crash gets a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent: The Champion.

Kechi Okwuchi is a Nigerian-American singer who was one of the finalists of America’s Got Talent 2017. She was also one of the 2 survivors of the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005, which took the lives of 107 passengers. Kechi was only 16-years-old when the plane crash happened. She was with her 60 schoolmates from Loyola Jesuit College and none of them made it out alive. It was a miracle Kechi survived.

She suffered third-degree burns over 65% of her body and the doctors only gave her 30% chance of survival. Kechi went through hundreds of treatments and surgeries.

While Kechi was in a coma, her mom sang a Nigerian hymn to her every day. It was then that she woke up and that was the only song that had stuck in her mind. The lyrics of the song goes like:

Wonderful and marvelous is Jesus to me.

In 2017, Angelica’s remarkable story of being a sepsis survivor pulled on the hearts strings of America.

At the age of 4, Angelica spent 80 days in the hospital battling sepsis. She underwent many procedures, and multiple surgeries. Moreover, she even had to undergo hemodialysis even after returning home because her kidneys were still not functioning correctly.

Then came the day that she needed a kidney transplant.

Thankfully, her Mom was a match. Without hesitation, Angelica’s Mom donated one of her kidneys to her daughter. The transplant went successfully and their family left the hospital closer than ever before.

Apparently, after regaining her strength, Angelica pursued her passion for singing again in order to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Since then, she has been using her God-given talent to help people who are in need of financial assistance.

Today, she continues to inspire us with her gift in America’s Got Talent “The Champions” Series. This time, Angelica started off her audition with the song “Fight Song” which left the AGT crowd mesmerized. She stood on the stage and she rocked it! Her performance received a standing ovation both with the crowd and with the AGT judges.
