Today’s Message

The road you have travelled has not always been easy. It was full of stones. But be thankful you’re still here. The only reason you were able to make it this far and still here today, is the fact that God is walking with you every step of the way.

When you walk with God, even though storms come into our life, you can find peace in God. You can have the strength and do the impossible because, with God, all things are possible. God didn’t promise that you won’t be able to encounter any problems in your life, but He promised that he will never leave you nor forsake you. He can calm every storm that you may encounter in your life.

In fact, the disciples experienced the storm with Jesus on their boat.

In Matthew 8:23-27, ²³Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. ²⁴Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. ²⁵The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” ²⁶He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. ²⁷The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

You only need to have faith. Trust God every step of the way.

God’s Word For Today: Don’t Give Up

Don’t give up. The road may be long, but He is with you, guiding and empowering you to fulfill His purpose for your life.

What Does The Bible Say

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Life is full of ups and downs, challenges and victories. There are times when you may feel tired, discouraged, and tempted to give up. But hold onto the promise in Galatians 6:9, that in due season you will reap if you do not give up. Remember, God is faithful, and He will renew your strength and provide the refreshment you need.

Look at the life of Elijah, a powerful prophet who experienced moments of weariness and discouragement. In 1 Kings 19, after a great spiritual victory on Mount Carmel, Elijah found himself fleeing from the threats of Queen Jezebel. Exhausted and disheartened, he sought refuge in a cave. In that dark moment, God met him and provided the refreshment he desperately needed.

From Elijah’s story, we can draw two key points on how we can become spiritually refreshed in the midst of challenges:

Seek Solitude and Rest: Just as Elijah retreated to the cave, it is crucial for you to find moments of solitude and rest in the presence of God. Set aside dedicated time for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Find a quiet place where you can pour out your heart before the Lord, seeking His guidance, strength, and comfort. In these intimate moments with Him, allow His peace to wash over you and renew your spirit.

Psalm 62:1 says, “For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.”

Draw Strength from God’s Word: When you face challenges, it is essential to anchor yourself in the truth of God’s Word. Just as Elijah received a word of encouragement and direction from God, you too can find guidance, comfort, and strength through Scripture. Open your Bible and allow the living Word to breathe life into your weary soul. Memorize verses that speak to your situation, meditate on their meaning, and let the promises of God rejuvenate your spirit.

Take heart and be refreshed in the Lord. The road may be long, but He is with you, guiding and empowering you to fulfill His purpose for your life.

God’s Word for Today: Strengthen Yourself in the Lord

As a believer it is so important that you learn how to strengthen yourself in the Lord. Just as King David Strengthened himself in the Lord, during trials and distress you to can learn this key to not just surviving but thriving in all the ups and downs life throws at you.

What Does The Bible Say

“And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6

In times of adversity and challenges, it is crucial to find strength and encouragement in the Lord. Everyone faces difficult situations, but how you respond to them can make all the difference. A key to learning how to respond with faith and hope can be found in the inspiring story from the life of King David and how he learned to strengthen himself in the Lord. May this scripture inspire you to do the same in your own life.

In the face of trials, it’s natural to experience a wide range of emotions. You may find yourself overwhelmed with despair sometimes. However, instead of giving in to despair, follow David’s example and turn to the Lord. In the midst of your pain, remember that God is your refuge, your strength, and your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1).

When you feel weak, it is vital to remind yourself of God’s faithfulness throughout history. David, even in the midst of his darkest moments, drew strength from remembering how God had delivered him in the past. Reflect on the times when God has answered your prayers, provided for your needs, and guided you through difficult circumstances. These memories will serve as a reminder of God’s unwavering love and encourage you to trust Him in your current situation.

Friend, in the midst of life’s trials, learn from King David’s example. Strengthen yourself in the Lord by embracing vulnerability, recalling God’s faithfulness, speaking words of encouragement, seeking wisdom, and taking courageous action. Just as David found solace and strength in God, so too can you find the peace, comfort, and power needed to overcome any adversity.

May you be inspired to strengthen yourself in the Lord today and always, knowing that He is faithful and His promises are true. Remember, you are not alone; God is with you, ready to empower you with His strength and lead you to victory.

Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

Do not worry, may you find comfort in the knowledge that you are held in the loving arms of a faithful God.

What Does The Bible Say

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Luke 12:25-26

These words echo through the ages, calling you and I to release the burden of anxiety and entrust our lives into the hands of the One who holds the universe in His grasp. Our Heavenly Father, who knows the number of hairs on our heads, is intimately acquainted with our needs and desires.

Worry, though a natural response, is an unproductive endeavor. It saps your energy, hinders your joy, and distracts you from the abundant life God has prepared for you. Instead, focus your gaze on the One who clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the sparrows. How much more will He care for you, His cherished child?

It is a call to faith, an invitation to surrender. As you release your worries, you make room for trust to flourish. You acknowledge that God’s plans for us are good, even when circumstances seem uncertain. In every situation, He is working for your good and His glory.

Replace worry with worship. Lift your concerns before the Lord in prayer, and then release them, confident that He is faithful to provide, protect, and guide. Allow His peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

What Does The Bible Say

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

In the journey of faith, we often find ourselves in seasons of transition, where the familiar gives way to the unknown. It’s in these moments that Isaiah 43:19 offers a comforting assurance.

God, in His infinite wisdom, is orchestrating a symphony of change in your life. He is the Master Composer, and the notes of His melody are filled with promise, hope, and the assurance of a brighter future. As you stand on the cusp of this new chapter, let faith arise within you, for the One who makes a way in the wilderness is by your side.

Remember the words of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Even in moments of uncertainty, God’s hand is at work, weaving every circumstance into the beautiful tapestry of His divine plan.

This new thing God is doing may not always be immediately evident. It requires discernment, an open heart, and a willingness to trust His leading. The path forward may appear rugged, but God promises to provide streams of refreshment even in the most desolate places.

Just as Israel journeyed through the wilderness, they witnessed the miraculous provision of manna from heaven and water from the rock. Similarly, you can trust that God will sustain you on this journey. He is faithful to meet your needs, and His grace is more than sufficient.

So do not be afraid to embrace the newness that God is bringing into your life. Step forward with confidence, knowing that the One who makes a way where there seems to be no way is with you.

Today’s verse from Romans 15:13 is a beautiful reminder of the hope, joy, and peace that are available to us when we place our trust in God. Paul, the apostle, offers this prayer for believers, encouraging them to lean on the God of hope. It’s a powerful declaration that as we trust in Him, God fills us with His joy and peace, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we overflow with hope.

The God of Hope

First, let’s reflect on how Paul refers to God as the “God of hope.” This title reveals God’s nature as the source and sustainer of hope in our lives. Hope in the Bible is not just wishful thinking, but a confident expectation of what God will do. It’s rooted in His promises and character. No matter what circumstances we face, God is the anchor of our hope. He is the one who gives us the strength to keep going, knowing that better things are ahead because of His faithfulness.

Trusting God Brings Joy and Peace

As we trust in God, He fills us with joy and peace. Joy is not merely happiness based on external situations, but a deep sense of well-being and contentment that comes from knowing God is in control. Similarly, peace is the calm assurance that comes from trusting God’s plan and His presence, even in difficult times. When we lean on Him, our hearts find rest, and we experience a peace that surpasses understanding.

Trusting in God is the key to receiving these gifts. As we rely on Him and surrender our worries, He fills the empty spaces of our lives with His joy and peace. These are not fleeting feelings, but lasting blessings that come from living in relationship with our Creator.

Overflowing with Hope by the Holy Spirit

The final part of Romans 15:13 speaks of overflowing with hope “by the power of the Holy Spirit.” This is a reminder that our hope is not self-generated. It comes through the power of the Holy Spirit working in us. The Holy Spirit is the one who empowers us to stay hopeful, even when life is hard. He reminds us of God’s promises and fills our hearts with the assurance that God’s plans for us are good.

When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we don’t just have enough hope for ourselves—we overflow with it! This means that our hope spills over and impacts the people around us. As we walk in the joy, peace, and hope that come from God, we become beacons of hope to others, pointing them to the God who is able to transform their lives as well.

Living in Hope Today

How can we live in the hope that Romans 15:13 speaks of?

Trust God Daily: Put your faith in Him, trusting that He knows what is best for your life. When you let go of fear and control, He fills you with His joy and peace.
Invite the Holy Spirit: Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with hope. Pray for His guidance and presence in your life so that you can experience the overflowing hope that only He can give.
Be a Source of Hope for Others: As you experience God’s hope in your own life, share it with others. Encourage those around you with the promises of God, and be a light in their times of darkness.

Romans 15:13 is a prayer and a promise. Today, let the God of hope fill your heart with joy and peace as you trust in Him. May the Holy Spirit empower you to live in a hope that overflows, touching every area of your life and the lives of those around you. With God, there is always hope, and that hope is stronger than any challenge we face.

Today’s scripture reminds us of the profound trust we are called to place in the Lord. In Psalm 25:1, the psalmist declares his confidence and reliance on God: “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” This simple yet powerful verse speaks volumes about the nature of faith and the security we find when we entrust our lives to God.

What Does It Mean to Trust God?

Trusting God means more than just believing He exists. It’s about surrendering our worries, fears, and desires into His hands. When we say, “I put my trust in You,” we are choosing to rely on His wisdom, goodness, and timing—regardless of the circumstances we face.

Psalm 25 was written by David, a man who experienced great highs and lows. From being a shepherd boy to a king, David knew what it meant to face trials, enemies, and personal failures. Yet through it all, he understood that the safest place to be was in the hands of God.

How Can We Trust God More?

Acknowledge His Faithfulness: One way to grow in trust is by reflecting on how God has been faithful in the past. Remember moments when He provided, protected, or guided you through tough situations. Just as David trusted God despite his challenges, we too can lean on God’s proven faithfulness.
Seek His Guidance: Trust means seeking God’s direction in all areas of our lives. When we pray and ask for His guidance, we acknowledge that He knows what’s best. Proverbs 3:5–6 echoes this idea: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Surrender Your Worries: Trusting God also means releasing control. We often try to handle everything on our own, but Psalm 25:1 encourages us to give our concerns to the Lord. Whether it’s financial struggles, health issues, or relationship problems, God invites us to place them at His feet, knowing He will take care of us.

Trust That Transforms

As we put our trust in God, we are transformed. Anxiety is replaced with peace, fear is overtaken by courage, and doubt gives way to hope. Trusting God doesn’t mean everything will be easy, but it means we have the assurance that He is with us, guiding and strengthening us through life’s trials.

Today, let Psalm 25:1 be your declaration. No matter what you face, choose to put your trust in God. He is faithful, and His love for you is unchanging. As you trust in Him, you will discover a deeper peace and strength that only He can provide.

It’s a love that remains constant and unwavering, regardless of your circumstances or shortcomings. “Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'” Matthew 6:9–13

Matthew 6:9–13 holds the essence of the Lord’s Prayer, a divine template gifted to you by Jesus Himself. It serves as a roadmap for communion with God, encapsulating the profound elements of adoration, surrender, dependence, forgiveness, and deliverance. As you step into the new year, consider the importance of weaving these elements into the fabric of a daily prayer routine.
