Today’s Verse

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.” (John 14:18-19)

Today’s Message

Living our live outside of God’s presence can feel…anxious. Scary. Overwhelming. When we forget that He is near, we try to do things in our own strength. In case you needed to be reminded today: you are not alone! Holy Spirit is your helper in all things! If you know that familiar feeling of anxiety, and feel it rising inside of you, take a moment. Acknowledge that Jesus promised to never leave you! Truly, inside of His love nothing can separate you from Him! I want to pray for you, if it’s felt hard lately to feel His nearness. God, I bless this reader with the abiding peace that your presence brings. Father, come close to them, showing Him that you are present in their very time of need. You are not alone, beloved! Let the prince of peace draw near to you today!

In a message on gratitude, Pastor Allen said, “Gratitude completely changes your ability to receive from God. On the other hand, a lack of gratitude, being unthankful, unappreciative, being filled with that kind of ingratitude, hardens your heart.”  We need to keep our hearts soft so that we remember the truth about who God is. He is always with us.

You Are Never Alone. Truths From Psalm 139.

God has written a book about all of your days, because He loves you and has a purpose for your life.

“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them” (Psalm 139:16).

There are times in life when we feel like we’re between a rock and a hard place. It can feel dark and lonely with no way out. Reading these verses out loud will remind your soul that you are never alone.

“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me” (Psalm 139:7-10).

Application

The people of Israel were complaining about being in the wilderness. “They said to Moses, ‘Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?'” (Exodus 14:11). They forgot what God had done for them. They were led out of Egypt by a miracle of God, but the cares of life hardened their hearts.

Remember what God has done in your life. Take a moment to write down every prayer that He has answered. You are probably living in an answered prayer right now. Thank Him for that! Thank Him for what He will do, too! He is not finished with you!

Above all, thank Him for His presence. He IS all around you! Thank Him for the air in your lungs, and before you know it, you will be thanking Him for so many things! When you live in a posture of gratitude, you begin to see the truth that you are never alone!

Prayer

Jesus, thank you that I am never alone! You go before me to prepare the way. Your presence surrounds me and gives me strength! I know that your ways are higher than my ways. I declare that you are with me! Amen.

In Troy’s message about David, he explained that David worshipped like a wild man. “…His worship was always about an expression of his loyalty to God.”  Worship was David’s weapon. David didn’t care what others thought of him, because he  had encountered God.

Pastor Troy encouraged people to worship God in the same way, with hearts loyal to Him. He said, “God deserves for me to be a person who would express my unfailing loyalty to Him no matter what.”

 

 

 

Encountering The Presence Of God In Worship

Have you ever felt uncomfortable in a worship service? Maybe you were used to seeing it one way and then you went to a different church. There are a lot of opinions out there about how worship should be done, but how do we know what it should look like? The main thing is keeping Jesus at the center of it all. He is the reason we go to church. But Sunday is not the only day to worship Him. We are meant to worship Him ALWAYS.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).

There was a woman at church who had received an answer to prayer that really reminded her that God had not forgotten her. This woman felt covered in the love of the Father. She was on her knees in worship, laughing and crying as she sang to Him. She was the only one in the room who looked different while she worshipped. But, with her eyes closed, and her attention fixed on Jesus, she didn’t care if she looked weird. She was so thankful for what God had done for her. Suddenly, other people started to worship Jesus with the same passion. Her worship unlocked freedom in others. What if, like her, we didn’t care what other people think? Encountering the presence of God keeps us focused on Him.

Encountering The Presence of God in Daily Life

You can worship Jesus anywhere! Start by worshipping Him at home, and ask Him to remove any fear of man from you. Dedicate yourself to Him as a living sacrifice, and keep your focus on Him. Mary didn’t care what the Pharisees thought when she wiped Jesus’ feet with her hair. David didn’t care what others thought when he danced wildly. Your expression of worship is precious to God. Encountering the presence of God can happen every day!

Prayer

Jesus, I want to dedicate myself to you as a living sacrifice. I ask for you to encounter me in ways that make the fear of man fall away.  Thank you for the privilege of being able to worship you! I love you! Amen.

How often do we forget that Jesus is with us wherever we go?  There is an invitation, in our everyday lives, to recognize that He is with us. Going to work? He is with you. Taking care of your children? He is with you. Going to the grocery store? He is with you. Reading this article? He is with you.  The Bible calls Him, “Emmanuel,” and even when you don’t realize it, He is present.

Pastor Doug has a brilliant mind and is fascinating to listen to. Just when you think you know the Bible well, Pastor Doug brings a depth of insight that will inspire you to study the Word even more. In an episode of Amazing Facts, filmed in Israel, Pastor Doug spoke about how Jesus was walking on the road to Emmaus with the two men in Luke 24. He explained that Jesus was walking with them, but they didn’t recognize Him until He broke the bread.

“When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them.  And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight.  They said to each other, ‘Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?'” (Luke 24:30-32).

In the program, Pastor Doug said, “And after He revealed Himself, then He disappears. Because He wants them to know Him from the bread, not because they see.”  Its such a beautiful picture of how Jesus wants us to trust that He is near, even when we can’t see Him.

 

 

What Does The Bible Say?

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29b).  This comes from the passage where Jesus came to show Thomas His scars. Thomas didn’t believe until he saw. Most people are just like Thomas; that’s just part of our human nature. But, Jesus was so kind to him, to come and to give Thomas proof that He was indeed alive. There is no shame in wanting to see, but we are blessed when we believe without seeing.

Someday, we will see Him fully. Now, on the earth, we have the privilege of living by faith.  Now is our only chance to believe without seeing, because in Heaven, we will see for eternity!

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory” (1 Peter 1:8).

 

When You’re Not Sure, Go Back To Scripture

Many times, we’re waiting for a feeling, or to have an experience that reminds us of His nearness. But, what if we don’t feel anything, hear anything, or sense anything? Remember what it says in the Psalm that speaks of how God lovingly created you:

“Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?  If I ascend to heaven, you are there!  If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me” (Psalm 139:7-10).

Talk About Jesus!

The two men walking on the road were talking about Jesus. They were telling Jesus all about what happened to Jesus. Ha ha! It’s funny and amazing that Jesus went along with it. What’s beautiful about this, is that Jesus drew near to them while they were talking about Him, and then when their eyes were opened, they were filled with joy and went to tell the disciples. They encouraged the disciples with good news! And then, “As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, ‘Peace to you!'”

Talk about Jesus, share the good news, and He will draw near. His is faithful and present. It’s easy to draw near to Him, because He is right there waiting for you.

Receive This Prayer

Jesus, thank you that you are our ever-present help in time of need. We love your presence, and we thank you that when we feel far from you, you are right there. We draw near to you today. Amen.

Katherine Ruonala Shares Her Life’s Message

Katherine Ruonala carries a strong prophetic and miracle anointing. She travels internationally and is passionate about revival.

Katherine lives her life surrendered and devoted to God. In her message she says, “The key to true happiness isn’t in living for yourself, it’s in losing your life to find His.” She drives the point home, that our souls truly long for God, and we can’ be satisfied without Him. We will find fulfillment in living daily for Him and with Him.

It may take some practice, but once you realize how wonderful His presence is, you will willingly spend your days in His presence. Not only do we long for God, but He longs for us!

 

Living A Life Devoted To God Brings True Happiness

The key to true happiness is in waiting on the Lord. What happens when we wait on the Lord?

Isaiah 30:18 in The Amplified Version gives a beautiful picture of what happens when we wait on the Lord:

“Therefore the Lord waits [expectantly] and longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed (happy, fortunate) are all those who long for Him [since He will never fail them].”

It was for the joy set before Him that Jesus endured the cross. During His three years walking on the earth, He intentionally took time away to pray to His Father. He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise” (John 5:19). He showed us what a life devoted to God looks like. 

Feast On Daily Bread

We are not called to live for God only on Sundays (or whenever we attend church). We are meant to live, abiding in Him daily. His love is infinite. We will never get to the end of His love! His presence is wide open and available to us all day, everyday. We can choose to live a life of love, totally swept up in Him. That doesn’t mean we don’t go to work, or do the things that need to be done in a day, but it’s intentionally choosing to stay connected to the Vine, and to turn our affections towards Him.

“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1-2).

Jesus will satisfy our hunger! The beautiful thing about Him is, He will satisfy our hunger, but as we feast on Him, we become even hungrier. Daily bread is just that…for this day. And then we eat fresh bread tomorrow and the next day and so on. This is the key to true happiness!

God’s love is endless, and Paul even prays that the people of God would have strength to even be able to comprehend how far, wide, and deep God’s love is:

“–that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 17b-19).

Application

Let’s begin today to fix our gaze on Jesus. Don’t worry about yesterday, or if you’ve failed in the past. His mercies are new for you! Take a look at this verse in Song Of Solomon:

“Behold, you are beautiful, my love; behold, you are beautiful; your eyes are doves” (Song Of Solomon 1:15).

Sometimes, reading Song Of Solomon can be a little confusing. What does it mean to have eyes that are like doves? Katherine Ruonala explains that doves have no peripheral vision. They focus on what is right in front of them. Let us have eyes like doves today and everyday. Jesus is ready and waiting for us to spend time with Him.

Receive This Prayer

God, we want to know the depths of your love, and so today we choose to fix our gaze on you. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning. We start afresh today, running into your presence and abiding there. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

An international best-selling author and speaker, Liz Wright, shared a wonderful testimony of her encounter with God. She was in a time of worship when, suddenly, she went into this extraordinary vision. “I was sitting in a throne in the middle of a battlefield opposite Jesus, who was sitting in his throne. We were very close to each other, and He was just gazing at me,” she recalled. Next, she noticed that all along the left-hand side of the field, there was a great army of extremely intimidating demons. There were thousands of them, and she was trying not to be distracted.

She looked at Jesus and asked Him, “Have you not noticed them?” Then, Jesus didn’t look at the enemy. He continued to gaze at her. And He said, “So?” Meanwhile, Jesus highlighted something profound, “When you’re in the presence of the King, the enemy can see you, but he can’t touch you.”

God’s Presence

At that moment, her fear and intimidation completely left her because what Jesus said went deep in her heart. Moreover, she prayed that people would also receive the truth. “The Holy Spirit will take what I have just said and put it straight… deeply into your heart. Breaking the power of any fear or intimidation that you have, particularly of the Demonic realm,” he remarked.

Furthermore, she reminded God’s children that they are constantly in the presence of the King. He resides inside their hearts through the
Holy Spirit. “As you become freshly consciously aware of this truth again, power will begin to move through you. And you’ll be reset back into realizing you are victorious. In Him you are safe,” she shared.

You can experience the power of embracing pain and conquering fear as you journey through the valleys of life, with the unwavering presence of God.

What Does the Bible Say?

‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.’ Psalms 23:4

It is easy as a believer to find solace in the promises of God’s protection and provision. To celebrate His goodness, share stories of breakthroughs, and seek joy in every circumstance. Yet, in pursuit of happiness, you may unintentionally overlook the importance of embracing the darker seasons of life. Profound wisdom can be found in Psalm 23:4, you can learn how to walk through the valleys of deepest darkness that will lead you to a deeper intimacy with God.

In your journey through life, you will inevitably encounter seasons of pain, grief, and uncertainty. It is in these valleys that you are invited to experience the transformative work of God. While your natural inclination may be to avoid or rush through these difficult times, you must learn to sit in the midst of your pain, acknowledge your struggles, and allow God to bring healing and restoration.

Pain is not a sign of weakness but an opportunity for growth. By facing your pain and acknowledging its presence, you create space for God to work in your life. In your vulnerability, you will discover the beauty of God’s presence and experience His comfort and peace that surpass all understanding. The journey through dark valleys will allow you to know the Lord in a more intimate and profound way, leading you to a greater understanding of His love and faithfulness.

Though your journey may take you through the valleys of the deepest darkness, you can rest in the assurance that God is with you every step of the way. Embrace the process of pain, knowing that it leads to growth and a deeper intimacy with our Heavenly Father. As you conquer fear through faith and stand firm in your freedom, you can navigate the challenges of life with grace and confidence. May you always remember that His presence is your greatest comfort and strength, guiding you through the darkest valleys and into the fullness of His joy.

The Better Together TV host discussed in a recent episode of the show about our insecurities and how God deals with them.  Faith cited some examples in the Bible.

“In the Bible, God never coddles our insecurity. When Moses was saying ‘I stutter,’ Jeremiah was saying ‘I can’t do it,’ He never said, ‘You got this.’  He never said, ‘You’re great.’ He never says any of that, He just says, ‘I’ll be with you, now go.’ His presence is the guarantee that you will get through it victoriously,” she said.

The answer is in Him

God never pampers our insecurities, whenever we feel incapable of the thing that He is calling us to do, He encourages us by assuring us that He is always with us. God is not calling us to greater things because of our capabilities, but because of His power that is in us.

“He never coddles our insecurities and our weaknesses as if to say the answer is in you, it’s just simply, the answer is in Him.”

To overcome our insecurities, we must understand who God is and that we are created in His own image. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, it’s not about our own strength, but His strength.

“Are you ready to take a step of faith and give God your ‘yes’? It’s not about our strength or abilities but what God can do in and through us! Every step we take into the unknown requires us to grow in His supernatural grace. ”

A Christian teen emphasized that God’s presence is not based on our feelings.

In a now-viral Instagram post, a teenage girl talked about the truth about God’s presence. Most of us think that when we feel like crying or when we feel chills, it means that God is present in our midst. This Christian teen is debunking that common misconception and explaining that God’s presence is not based on feelings.

“God’s feeling is not the chills that you feel when you pray or the tears that fall from your eyes when you worship. Because the presence of God is not a feeling, it is a fact, it is the truth. God is not a feeling. And so often people think that they’re distant from God because they say, ‘I can’t feel God.’ But when did we get it in our heads that we have to,” she asked.

God’s presence

She then continued to explain that God is present everywhere at all times, He is an omnipresent God. God is always with us, he even sent His Holy Spirit to constantly accompany us wherever we may go.

“The Holy Spirit can be absolutely anywhere and everywhere without us feeling it. In fact, He’s with us constantly. God sent His Holy Spirit to be with us and to dwell in us. And just cause we can’t always feel Him doesn’t mean He’s not there. Jesus literally tells us, ‘Behold, I’m with you always.’ Even until the end of the age when you cannot feel Him, He is there. He is not limited by what you feel.”

Our feelings

God is not limited by our feelings. Feeling the presence of God is a good indicator, but even if we don’t feel His presence, the truth is that He is still with us.

“Feelings are a great indicator, but they’re not a good dictator.  When you’re with the Lord and you feel those chills or you cry, that’s a good indication that He’s with you. But when you don’t feel those things, it doesn’t mean He’s not with you. Don’t let your emotions limit your perception of God.”

Seven Keys to Intimacy with God

Intimacy with God should be the number one priority in our lives. All mighty men and women of God had intimacy with Him. Enoch, Abraham, Jacob, Moses and the disciples had tremendous intimacy with God. We can see how Moses had intimacy with God from reading Exodus 33: 7-23. Intimacy with God is vital to a fulfilling life and it can be sought in the following ways:

The first key is the tent of meeting

We should have a meeting place with God. Our own tent of the meeting. It could be a place in the house or outside the house. This is the secret place of the Most High. We should spend time with God daily. We get to know a person more intimately only as we spend more time with that person. It’s the same with God. The more time we spend with God, the more we will get to know Him deeply and intimately. We read about Enoch in the book of Genesis, how he walked with God in habitual fellowship. God was so pleased with Enoch that He just took him away Enoch never experienced death because of his intimacy with the Lord.

The second key to intimacy with God is worship

God is seeking worshippers. There are a very few places in Scripture where it says that God Himself is seeking someone. And John 4.24 is one of the places. The primary activity of Heaven is worship. The angels never stop crying “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty who was, and is,  and is to come.”

One  Hebrew word for worship is ‘proskuneo’ which means to kiss. When we worship God, we are kissing His beautiful face. We become like the person we worship. Many husbands and wives start looking like each other after staying together for many years.

The third key to intimacy with God is becoming addicted to His Presence

There is nothing like the presence of God. There is no high like the Most High. The more you have Him, the more you want Him. His presence is so beautiful.

In the book of Exodus, we read about Joshua, the young assistant of Moses. When Moses finished talking with God and went out of the Tent of the meeting, Joshua would continue to linger in the Presence of God. He was hungry to get even the crumbs of His Presence. He had such a passion for the Presence of God. No wonder God chose him to lead the children of Israel after Moses.

The fourth key to intimacy with God is the favor of God

The favor of God means the blessing of God. Without the favor of God, we can never know Him. Mike Bickle says that it takes God to love God. Unless He chooses to reveal Himself to us, we can’t know Him. We need to ask God for more hunger and thirst for Him. Jesus said, “Blessed are the hungry, for they shall be filled.” If we cry out passionately for more of HIm, He will hear our cry and answer us.

The fifth key to intimacy with God is to know His ways

In Psalms 103.7 it says, ”God made His ways known to Moses and His acts to the children of Israel.” His ways are higher than our ways. We need to surrender to His ways and don’t insist on doing things our way. That is when we will come to know Him more deeply and intimately.

The sixth key to intimacy with God is to seek His Glory

The Hebrew word for Glory is ‘kavod’ which means ‘weighty’ presence. The Greek word for Glory is ‘doxa’ which means brilliance or radiance. The glory of God brings intimacy, signs, and wonders.

The more intimacy we have with God, the more of His glory we shall experience. The more of His glory we experience, the more we will become intimate with Him.

The seventh key to intimacy with God is to seek his face

His face is lovely. There is no one like Him. In 1994,  there was a great revival in Toronto, Canada. Thousands of people flocked to get a touch from God. But the main feature of this revival was the love of God. People came to seek the face of God and were powerfully touched and then carried the anointing back to their churches from all over the world. They were powerfully touched when they sought His face. His touch made a total difference in their lives.

One of the persons who was powerfully touched in that revival was Heidi Baker. Today she is working in the African nation of Mozambique and she has started many churches which is absolutely amazing. Another minister of the Gospel was touched in Toronto. His name is Leif Hetland. God called him to go to the Muslims of Pakistan and other nations and he has led thousands of Muslim people to the Lord. All this came about because they sought intimacy with God. They were seeking his face diligently and passionately.

The message of Intimacy with God is a central message of the Bible. The greatest commandment in the Bible is the commandment to love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and soul and strength. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself said that this is the greatest commandment in the Bible. So my friends, intimacy with God should be the main reason why we live. As it says in the Book of Revelation chapter 4, we were created for the pleasure of God. And as the book of prayer in England says, “The chief end of man is to glorify God.”

I pray that the Lord himself will give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation to understand this message and not only that but that you will experience intimacy with God to such a degree that it will consume your life and that you will be a conduit to impart that same anointing of intimacy to many in the Body of Christ. I pray that there will be a revival of intimacy with God in the Church throughout the world. Amen.
