God can heal our land. In His word, He promises to heal the land if His people humble themselves and pray. To humble ourselves, is to submit to His ways. His ways are higher than our ways.
Pastor John Kilpatrick Teaches How The Earth Reacts When Sin Defiles The Land
In a message called, “The Earth Is Speaking,” Pastor John Kilpatrick releases a prophetic word to the body of Christ. He teaches how the earth reacts when sin defiles the land. He also brings a message of hope, because God wants to heal the land.
Pastor John Kilpatrick gives an incredible example of how the earth quaked when Jesus died on the cross, and when He was resurrected. The earth was testifying to Jesus’ power and how He defeated sin and death. “He thoroughly dealt with the sin issue and the earth responded.”
He says, “We have to learn to interpret the times and the signs.” There are things coming upon the earth, because “there is a direct connection between the land and man.” Open rebellion against God causes the earth to react. He unapologetically stated that we must stand for what God stands for.
The Connection Between The Land And Man
There is a connection between creation and man. God created Adam out of the earth, and He put Adam in Garden of Eden, a place of perfection. As soon as Adam and Eve sinned, the earth reacted. Suffering and toil became the new reality.
Genesis 3:17, “To Adam he said, ‘Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ ‘Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.'”
The earth is awaiting liberation. God’s creation is alive! Creation groans as it waits for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed.
Romans 8:19-22, “For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”
How Can The Land Be Healed?
God gives us a promise in His word. He wants to heal our land. This shows us that if land can be healed, then it must be sick. It has responded to sin. Darkness no longer hides, but over the past few years, we have noticed that sin is openly celebrated by a lot of people. The earth is groaning, and God is speaking. His word is still true today.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
We need to stand for what’s right, no matter how much backlash we get. God never promised it would be easy, but by His grace, Jesus told us, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
Prayer
Jesus, thank you that you have defeated sin. We repent for our sin and we humble ourselves before you today. You are the only One who can heal our land, so we submit to you, and we ask that you would encounter those who are lost in sin. We ask that they would respond to your love. Send us out and give us boldness to preach the Gospel. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
