Your Life Purpose Is To Love God, Yourself And Others Well

Your life purpose is to love God, yourself and others well. When we operate from this kind of love, then our purpose is fulfilled each day.

We get to love God

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment in the law was, He replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. (Mat 22:37-39)

We can look to loving God as the most beautiful invitation we get to say “yes” to each day. Just like falling in love with a person, we get to have eyes and heart focused on Him.

We get to love ourselves

You were created by God. He lovingly and purposefully knitted you together in your mother’s womb. On purpose and for a purpose.Let that sink in for a moment. You are not a mistake. Your life is not just a humdrum wash, rinse and repeat every day. You matter, and the world needs to uniqueness you bring.

Ask God how to love and appreciate yourself in a healthy way today.

We get to love others

As our hearts are full of our love for God and His love for us then that will naturally overflow onto those around us. 

It can be hard to unconditionally love others when we try to drum that love up ourselves. But when it’s flowing from God’s heart to the people we’re with, then it’s natural.

Connect with God’s heart for you, and others and you will be living your life purpose each day.

Former Beauty Queen Who Suffered Massive Stroke Declares, “God Does Not Make Mistakes”

The former beauty queen, Katherine Wolf, survived a massive stroke when she was 26 years old. But the affliction had left her with severe double vision, right ear deafness, facial paralysis, and inability to walk. Despite her condition, she remained hopeful in God. She is comforted in the truth that He does not make mistakes.

Former Beauty Queen

Katherine and her husband, Jay, had just had their first baby when, six months later, she was diagnosed with Brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation). Unfortunately, they discovered it when the blood vessels in Katherine’s brain had already ruptured, causing her massive stroke.

She underwent a 16-hour surgery, which cost her the ability to walk, talk, and swallow.

Nevertheless, the couple drew closer to God. They did not blame Him for their situation. Rather, they put their trust in His beautiful and ultimate purpose.

God Does Not Make Mistakes

Moreover, Katherine believes that God has called her to live the story He unmistakably wrote for her. She stands on God’s truth that she is fearfully and wonderfully made.

“He does not make mistakes,” she said. “That if I am still on earth, with breath in my lungs, there is a reason for it.”

She continued, “That if we were not supposed to be here, we would not be here. That God knows exactly what He is doing.”

Katherine pointed out that her brain AVM, which she was born with, was not God’s mistake. But that He has called her to live for a special purpose.

“As it says in Ephesians 4:1, ‘To live a life worthy of this calling that I receive,'” she said. “This was a holy calling. That my life was assigned to me, and I had to live a life worthy of this.”

She added, “When we choose to embrace the lives in front of us and release the lives we imagined, we can realize this good story is being written by a God who can’t write any other kind of story.”

Divine Appointment Led Young Man To Encounter Jesus At The Mall

A young man who went to a mall to return something did not expect to encounter Jesus that day!

Encountering Jesus In A Mall

Richard Lorenzo Jr., pastor of Revival Remnant Outreach Center, and his friend spent their day inside a mall, looking for people to share the Gospel with. But while they passed by a shop, God impressed Richard to stop for Pierre who was about to return a jersey he purchased.

Pierre went inside a jersey store to return the item he bought. Unfortunately, the store did not proceed with the transaction. So, Richard took the chance and  buy the jersey from him. It was the pastor’s entry point to lead Pierre into a conversation about Jesus and life.

Richard then started to ask Pierre of questions about the meaning of life and happiness. As they went on, Richard shared his testimony of how Jesus redeemed him from his wayward life and witchcraft.

Divine Appointment

Similarly, Pierre confessed that he had also experienced supernatural attacks when asleep. Growing up with a Christian mother, he knew about Jesus but really did not know Him.

One time, when Pierre was having a nightmare, he mentioned the name of Jesus. Then the demons that were tormenting him were gone in an instant.

Richard shared that it was a divine appointment for them to meet. He continued to share the truth of Jesus wanting to be his Savior.

Pierre, who was also convicted by the presence of God, opened his heart and accepted Christ. Richard prayed for him and declared God’s will over his life.

Moreover, the pastor invited Pierre to church that weekend to help him on his new journey with Christ. Indeed, Pierre came and even got baptized. He surrendered his life to Jesus, declaring he was dead to his past self and now resurrected with Christ!

Hope In The Bible Gives You Strength For Today

Find hope in the Bible and it will give you the strength, hope and wisdom to navigate through any circumstance you are facing today.

I remember looking at the doctor as he gave me the news that I had cancer. It’s a word that carries so much fear. I could see on his face that he hated giving this type of news to anyone. 

When you have no hope

Hopelessness threatened to overwhelm me as I asked him what my options were. He gave me the details of the treatment plan he recommended. It involved an operation and then ongoing treatment to ensure that whatever they found could be eradicated. It looked like this would be a long road to recovery for me and my family.

God can give you strength

As the news sunk in I remember looking at him and sayings something like this. “It’s going to be OK because I am a Christian and I trust God”. It was as if God was giving me the strength He talks about in Isa 40:31 and I felt a surge of hope flood through me.

Somehow I knew that no matter what the outcome, God would be with me on the journey and give me the strength I would need.

You can live hopeful

Each day of the 8 weeks of my treatment I grew more physically weak as the radiotherapy took its toll on my body. But each day I would reach out to God for the strength to see me through.

Now, 10 years later, I’m happy to report that I am still cancer-free. That period of my life taught me how to find hope and strength in the Bible for my everyday life. Thank You God.

Woman Battling Breast Cancer Prayed And Received A Miracle

A woman battling breast cancer prayed to God for healing. She chose to trust God despite the odds, and a miracle happened.

Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

In 2021, Brenda Scott and her family received horrifying news from the doctors. She was diagnosed with the worst stage of breast cancer and had to undergo aggressive chemotherapy. The entire Scott family was devastated because the survival rate was very low. But Brenda’s Christian oncologist shared a word that sparked hope in them.

Dr. Dianna Shipley reminded Brenda to put her hope in Jesus because He had already paid for her healing on the cross.She said, “the Savior is the Healer, man is not. Man’s just the vessel.”

The doctor also advised her to start thanking God for her healing as a declaration of her faith in Him.

Trusting God For Healing

Brenda underwent aggressive chemotherapy 16 times over the several few months and to prepared herself she spent more time with the Lord.

Meanwhile, her son, Anthony, recorded her journey. And when the Lord prompted Brenda to post and share it online, her son agreed Her story unexpectedly went viral.

“We knew 100 percent that God has His hand in this,” Brenda’s son remarked.

As a result, many people worldwide reached out to Brenda and prayed with her. Family, friends, church family, and people online bombarded Heaven with prayers for Brenda.

DISC DISSOLVED, STOMACH PAIN GONE, AND KIDNEY HEALED AFTER PRAYER

Then, the day came for Brenda to have her first chemo treatment. At that moment, she somehow knew she was healed. After four treatments, she asked for an ultrasound check-up and found out that the cancer already disappeared.

Brenda’s doctors were blown away by the miracle they had just witnessed!

Does God Care For Animals? Jackie Hill Perry Shares Her Story

Animal lovers can relate to Jackie Hill Perry when her dog was involved in an accident. As the dog clung to life, Jackie pondered whether God would answer her prayers for her pet. Does God care for animals? She sought the answer in the Scriptures.

The Christian writer and hip-hop artist sat down for an interview on Better Together TV. She engaged in a discussion with the show’s hosts about God answering prayers.

Jackie shared how God answered her prayer when she faced uncertainty. It happened when her dog, December, was attacked by their neighbor’s German Shepherd. The larger dog overpowered the miniature poodle.

December was left with severe wounds, punctured lungs, and broken ribs. They hurried her to the veterinarian, who, after examining the dog, recommended putting December down due to her critical condition.

Does God Care For Animals?

Jackie went home, weeping for her dog. She did not realize how much she cared for the dog until that moment. She recalled, “I’m weeping, and I was like, ‘Lord, I wanna pray for December, but I don’t know if You’ll respond or if You care. And so, I just start looking up all these Scriptures about what God feels about animals.”

The Bible reminded Jackie how God created animals and is mindful of them. It mentions how He takes care of the sparrows, noting that not one falls to the ground without His knowledge. This revelation brought hope to Jackie. She said, “Me knowing that God cared about animals gave me hope to pray for December. I was like, ‘God, You see him. You care for him, and You love him. Save his life.’ And he is still alive today.”

Jackie’s experience taught her that praying with Scripture can bring hope. Consequently, it can elevate your expectations post-prayer, strengthening your faith.

DeVon Franklin: ‘Commit To The Process Of Letting God Match You With The Right Person’

Author and speaker DeVon Franklin shared in his profound message to singles to “commit to the process of letting God match you with the right person.”

A Message To Singles

DeVon Franklin encouraged his single listeners to trust God about their relationship. He pointed out about allowing God to work in that aspect of their life if they wanted to end up marrying the right person. But above all, he remarked to “commit to the process” and to God’s perfect timing.

In his message, DeVon then shared about the life of Ruth in the Bible as an example. He noted about Ruth’s attitude towards her life and most especially how she never worried about finding the right person.

“What does Ruth do? She goes about living her life committed and matched to God,” he explained.

The author then urged his listeners to do the same and focus on matching their lives to God. He said, “That if He intends for there to be a match, a romantic match for you in your journey of life, He will bring them to you. He will put them in your path.”

Finding The Right Person

Further, DeVon addressed those who feel like they’re “losing hope over God’s plan” for their lives. He told them, “You got to know the same way that Ruth, all she had to do was get on the path and God had everyone and everything she needed. You got to know that God is working behind the scenes to set you up right now to match you with the life that He’s promised you.”

But he also encouraged that in order to be aligned with God’s purpose for their lives, they have to be committed to God. They have to make the decision to follow God without excuses.

“Commit to the process of letting God match you with the right person, the right circumstance, and the right situation,” DeVon remarked.

Christian baseball player of New York Yankees Clay Holmes shared the freedom he found in being a living sacrifice for God.

The 31-year-old Major League Baseball professional player, Clay Holmes, is one of the well-known athletes outspoken in his Christian faith. He is also one of the best baseball professionals and the New York Yankees’ best pitcher.

In an interview with Sports Spectrum last year, Clay opened up about his childhood life. He grew up in church. So, he knew Jesus even as a young boy. But later in life, the sport he loved shook his faith. Clay’s baseball career started when he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2011. Then, he made his debut in 2018. Soon after, the Christian athlete faced an identity crisis because of his sports.

“I just remember that as kind of when I started to wrestle with just the whole identity thing,” he shared in a podcast. “Baseball and God, and this relationship of, like, I know I say I believe these things. But what actually is going on with my … desires? What do I seek with all this?”

Leaning Upon Jesus

God’s nudging in his heart opened Clay’s heart to God’s wisdom and since then, it strengthened his identity in Christ. As a player, he leans upon his faith in the Lord all the time. Additionally, Clay once again contemplated his purpose two years later. He then realized that he just wanted God’s power at work in his life.

“There’s gotta be more to life than just hanging my hat on the identity of this baseball thing…” he said. “When I think back on that time, it’s almost like Romans 12:1-2 comes to mind, just being a living sacrifice.”

Later, when Clay left the Giants and became one of the Yankees, he also shared how God gave him peace with the decisions he made.

“I just felt like God was preparing me for some things that were about to happen…” he said. “I just had this sense of peace, like, God’s kind of at work here and wherever I’m at. Whether it’s Pittsburgh or baseball or not, I had this peace.”

Soon, Clay made it to the “All-Star team in 2022.” In a podcast, he shared that it happened after he found freedom in being a living sacrifice for God.

“You just realize that freedom of when you become that living sacrifice,” he explained. “There’s a freedom that comes with it that allows you to just display the talents and the uniqueness that God’s given you. And the identity you have in Him, in a way that’s much greater than you can do on your own.”

Christian Media Page Warns Believers Of Cutting Time With God When Life Is Busy

A Christian media page reminded believers of the importance of spending time with God. “Ever notice how time with God is the first thing we cut when life gets busy?”

When Life Gets Busy

The Instagram page @savedbyhisgrace1 warned Christians about putting God at the end of the list when they have many things to do. But the truth of the matter, is that spending time with God should be “non-negotiable in our lives as Christians.”

The page quotes, “Just as we need oxygen, food + water to live, time with God is essential for godly living. When our time with God suffers, our life suffers because we were made to be filled by our Creator. Spending less time in the word and prayer to have more time elsewhere is a recipe for disaster.”

@savedbyhisgrace1 denoted that regardless of how overwhelming a day could be, it will never be an excuse to neglect time with God. And by neglecting time with God, believers unknowingly neglect themselves.

The page shared, “Don’t disconnect with the One who will see you through when the going gets tough. Draw even nearer to Him instead.”

At the end of the message, they provided a prayer of repentance for deprioritizing God.

“Dear God,
I confess that I am prone to put You to the side when life gets hard or busy.
I confess that selfishly, I prioritize everything else and find it okay deprioritizing You.
I ask Your forgiveness and I thank You for Your patience with me.
Help me to be firm in my resolve that time with You is essential.
I’ve seen firsthand how things fall apart when I neglect You.
Keep me from such foolish choices going forward.
In Jesus’ name, amen!”

Martin Luther once said, “I have so much to do (today) that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.”

Spend time with God today.

Haley Erickson’s Weight Obsession Led To Depression Until She Met God

Haley Erickson suffered from weight obsession that eventually led her to physical problems and depression. She thought she would be loved in that way until she met God.

Weight Obsession

Haley Erickson grew up in a Christian home. But despite that, growing up, she believed that she had to have a good body image to be loved and accepted. She learned the idea from her mom, who was also body-conscious. As a result, when she reached high school, she became overly conscious of her body. She then “started eating healthy, dieting, and exercising constantly.”

Soon, fixing her body became Haley’s obsession. As her colleagues in her sorority planned on losing weight for spring break, she also tagged along with them to fit in. This time, her obsession with losing weight reached a new unhealthy level. It affected her mental health, and her body suffered.

Meeting A Christian Friend

Haley often went to the gym and had no friends. One day, Haley got injured as she slipped on black ice in her junior year. For that reason, she had to rest her leg for weeks. And because she couldn’t exercise temporarily, she was faced with the reality of her heart’s true condition.

Haley desperately cried out to God as she felt like she lost her purpose when she couldn’t exercise anymore. Later, she returned to the gym as soon as she recovered. But this time, she met a Christian woman named Mary Jane. She became her friend and invited Haley to her home.

In Mary’s home, their conversation led to discovering that they share the same Christian faith. That’s when Haley cried and remembered how she failed to live out as a Christian. Mary then shared the Gospel with Haley again, telling her about God’s unconditional love for her.
