Lydia Marrow shared a profound understanding of what it means to present someone’s body as a living sacrifice to God.

Worship leader and author Lydia Marrow delivered a powerful reminder for the year 2024 during her appearance on the GOD TV Together show. Fergus Scarfe and Emma Abbot joined her. Lydia Marrow shared a profound interpretation of the message conveyed by Paul in Romans 12:1. It was written, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” According to Lydia, some bible translations state that it was a “reasonable service of worship.” It was not just about singing songs. Paul was taking about getting up on the altar.

Then, she proceeded to discuss the appearance of altars in ancient times. Altars, instead of being positioned at the front of the church where individuals would kneel, consisted of a collection of stones used for sacrificing animals and setting them ablaze. This comparison reminded her of our fellow brothers and sisters residing in locations devoid of freedom, where they believed their rights were nonexistent. Sadly, in certain other nations, there are instances where individuals harbor a sense of entitlement.

A Living Sacrifice To God

“The truth is that all that we have in the Kingdom is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ… None of it was entitled to us. It’s all been a gift bestowed upon us,” she highlighted. Moreover, she shared that Jesus was not a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. He didn’t hang naked on the cross just to be part of someone’s life.

Instead, Jesus came to take over. She further emphasized that offering oneself as a living sacrifice leads to transformation and the renewal of the mind. However, this requires individuals to let go of their personal preferences and surrender to Jesus’ authority. Additionally, she drew attention to how Abraham wholeheartedly submitted his life to God, exemplifying the essence of genuine worship.

“You are the King. Take it all. It’s got to be like that, and if there’s anything that God wants to do in the church in 2024. It’s to bring the church back to the altar where it’s messy… We need to smell our preferences going up in smoke,” she explained.

The President and CEO of GOD TV, Ward Simpson, shared one of the pitfalls that people need to avoid in running the marathon of life.

Ward Simpson shared on GOD TV Together that one of the dangers people need to watch out for in life. Together with Fergus Scarfe, he discussed scriptures and examples that can help believers. According to Ward, one of the pitfalls that people need to avoid is complacency. Then, he read The Message version of Proverbs 1:32, “Don’t you see what happens, you simpletons, you idiots? Carelessness kills; complacency is murder.” To fully understand this scripture, he studied the word “complacency.”

He explained that complacency is false security. “It’s like you living in a house with a security system…Feeling you know what, this security, this alarm is going to save me and protect me, when in fact it does not work,” he said.

Complacency

Moreover, he gave an example in the Bible that talked about complacency. It was written in Luke 12. The story was about a rich man who had a farm. He happened to produce a terrific crop. Because his barn wasn’t big enough for the harvest, he decided to tear them down and build bigger ones. Then the farmer would say to himself, “Self, you’ve done well! You’ve got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!’ Then, in verse 20, it was written, “Just then God showed up and said, ‘Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnful of goods—who gets it?’

In this story, there was a successful man who didn’t know that he would die the next day. That’s when he reminded the people that success is a good thing. However, it can breed complacency. “Therefore, you may be thinking you’re all this big shot, successful. Not knowing what tomorrow brings. And that’s why… what we say all the time, we make our plans, but we say, ‘if God wills,’” he remarked.

Furthermore, he highlighted that success could lead to complacency, which would lead to failure. This is why he encouraged the viewers to live their lives as if they would live forever while at the same time being prepared to die tomorrow.

Jurgen Buehler shared 3 practical things Christians can do to stand for Israel amidst the chaos that the nation is going through.

The President of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem, Jurgen Buehler, talked with Fergus Scarfe on the GOD TV Together show. According to him, the church needs to rise up and stand with Israel. “This is the time when God is calling the church to take a very clear stand on this side of Israel,” he said. Moreover, he shared three practical insights on how to help the nation of Israel amidst the war and chaos that the country is facing.

1. Israel urgently needs your prayers.

Even though what people see on television is a military conflict unfolding, at the very core, it’s a spiritual conflict. “I personally believe that we are dealing with the most brutal. And with the most vicious manifestation of the spirit of Amalek that manifested itself the last time with Adolf Hitler and his people in Germany,” he shared. Roughly seven days after the atrocity happened, he saw in his own eyes the brutality of the Hamas Terrorist.

Israel needs prayer because there is a vicious spirit that is attacking the nation right now. He also added the story of when Amalek attacked Israel. There was a battle on the ground, but at the same time, there was Moses and Aaron praying. As they were interceding, Israel was victorious. Indeed, prayer was so essential.

2.Israel needs your practical help.

There were so many projects that were unfolding every day. In fact, he mentioned about the food packages for the refugees. Right now, there are over two hundred thousand refugees in Israel who need help. They were wounded, both emotionally and physically. Furthermore, he stated that the community in Gaza needed rebuilding. “Wouldn’t it be a testimony if the church rises up and stand alongside Israel in that?” he said.

3.The church needs to be seen in your country.

“There’s a lot of sympathy right now from politicians, and of course from the Jewish community. But this is the time when the church needs to be seen on the streets,” he explained. On top of that, he encouraged the church to show that there are believers around the world who have a very firm stand with Israel and the Jewish people in these critical days.

In conclusion, Christians were now given the opportunity to stand for Israel. Fergus also reminded the church to serve as a light in these dark and difficult times.

Roma Waterman joined Claire Worth on the God TV Together show to talk about true repentance.

True Repentance

Worship leader and songwriter Roma Waterman shared her story about how she experienced true repentance. According to her testimony, there was a sovereign move of the Lord in their church and God gently showed her what was in her heart that she didn’t even know was there. “I’m just like, ‘Oh, Lord, I didn’t know that I thought about this way. I’m so sorry, God. I just want that gone. I just want your presence’…Every day, it’s like a layer is coming off,” Roma recalled.

Furthermore, she shared that the beautiful thing about Godly repentance is there’s no shame in it. “True repentance isn’t, ‘I feel so bad,’ that God is highlighting this. There’s so much love in it. There’s so much grace in it. You don’t want to walk the other way,” she shared. She then added that true repentance is so beautiful. As a result, the hunger that rose within her has changed her enormously.

The Father’s Heart

Moreover, Claire Worth, the host of the GOD TV Together show, also shared about repentance in relation to motherhood. As a mother, she recognized the Father’s heart, which is not to punish His children but to treasure and love them. “It is not to diminish you…or to highlight and shame you, cause we don’t do that with our children. Right? It’s very much, like ‘I love you so much’… we do that as moms in such a loving way, but you can almost imagine the Father’s heart in that,” she explained.

Roma also experienced the Holy Spirit saying that there were people watching the show that felt shame.  “I just want to encourage you. If that’s you, I want you to know that there is no shame. That true repentance will set you free… and that God will never reject you,” Roma said.

Mother Testifies Of God’s Faithfulness During Suffering On GOD TV Together Show

Tiffany’s daughter was in a horrific accident and went through suffering. But, she testified about God’s faithfulness on GOD TV Together show.

Devastating Accident

Nearly 7 years ago, Tiffany’s 14-year-old daughter was hit by a vehicle. Because of her head injury, she underwent 4 months of rehab. That day changed the lives of their family. Tiffany recalled, “It’s been a difficult journey, but the thing is… we knew who Jesus was.” She and her family approached the situation with faith.

Tiffany went on by sharing about how important it is to fix our eyes in Jesus. She shared that our Savior gives us perfect peace during storms. “We had no question that whatever it was that He had for us, it would be good. And it would be well, and all manner of things would be well,” Tiffany said.

God’s Faithfulness in Suffering

Fergus Scarfe, the host of GOD TV Together, asked Tiffany to minister to those suffering. She then shared what Jesus did for his friend, Lazarus. Jesus wept before He called Lazarus to rise from the grave. Tiffany explained, “I think that a lot of us are conditioned in our faith to rise victoriously, and that is true, we should. But we also have to remember to grieve the loss and that the Lord is with us.”

She also mentioned the precious fellowship of suffering. When people embrace Jesus, the One who suffered for the world, they can journey through the trials and find beauty in the ashes. “I just always encourage people …to let the Lord sit with us in pain but also to know and trust that He will push us through to the other side,” Tiffany shared.

The report Tiffany received for her daughter was that she wouldn’t be able to talk or walk. But God is faithful and 7 years after the accident she is walking, talking, and seeking Jesus.  She graduated from college with her bachelor’s degree!
