Pastor Logan and Elise Justice encouraged individuals who were navigating challenging seasons, reminding them that the Good Shepherd was by their side.

The lead pastors of Church of His Presence Young Families, Logan and Elise Justice, shared powerful encouragement on the GOD TV Standing Together show. They joined Fergus Scarfe in discussing the moments when they faced difficulties in life. Pastor Elise emphasized the utmost importance of remembering that God is their Shepherd, even during the darkest times. She highlighted the significance of nurturing a personal and individual relationship with Him.

“Even though we go through those valleys and those dark times, we can remember that He is with us,” she shared.

Furthermore, she expressed the notion that it is easy to lose sight of the proper perspective when facing struggles. Thus, it becomes vital to recall God’s promises, including His assurance to never abandon or forsake His people.

Following this, Fergus inquired about how Logan and Elise ministered to one another as a couple. Logan responded by explaining that there were moments when he felt weak and relied on his wife’s strength, while other times he needed to be the source of strength for Elise. However, he emphasized that God remained faithful throughout their journey.

Meanwhile, he also shared the truth written in the bible, “When the rain comes, it will rain on the just and the unjust.” He elaborated that trials would come, but people could either set up a tent and stay in a valley or go through the valley.

The Good Shepherd

“David said, ‘I’m going to go through the valley of the shadow of death,’” he said. Moreover, he also added that David needed fresh anointing to pass through the valley.

Afterward, Elise shared that one of the most significant actions she took during challenging times was to pray for her husband. She recognized the importance of releasing and surrendering Logan to the Lord while firmly believing that God would work in his life.

Eventually, Logan encouraged the GOD TV family, especially those who were struggling. “You may feel alone… but the bible says that He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother… The good Shepherd is right there beside you,” he remarked.

Becky Townley Shares Things She Did While Waiting For Her Husband

Becky Townley shared her experiences while waiting for her husband. She also mentioned the wrong and right things that she did.

A Pastor’s wife, Becky Townley, joined Emma Abbott on God TV Standing Together Show and talked about the waiting season. She met her husband when she was already 43 years old. It wasn’t an easy journey for her, but she openly shared her insights for those who are still waiting for their future partner.

Emma, the host of the show, asked her to give some of her advice to someone in the waiting season. Becky then answered by sharing the things that she did right and wrong when she was still in her waiting season seasons.

What she did wrong was overly focusing on it. She was trying to force potential situations that weren’t part of God’s plan. “A lot of daydreaming. A lot of you know, fantasizing about life that I wasn’t living,” she recalled. And then, subsequently, she was living her Plan B life and not her Plan A life, which wasn’t true, but that’s how she felt.

Trusting God

What she believed she did right was to continue to trust God while waiting and praising Him no matter what happens.

“It seemed to be this massive milestone. But I’m still determined on my way to work. You know, I’d worship God. I would pray. Often, I would be crying,” she highlighted. She didn’t have anywhere else to go. That’s why she chose to trust God. She understood that His timing was so different.

One morning in 2007, she was weeping on her way to work, and she heard God telling her to wait.

“It was so powerful. It hit me between the eyes,” she shared.

She also added that when God asked His people to wait, He was not teasing them, or messing with them. Becky decided to keep on waiting, not according to her strength, but according to God’s grace. Nine months later, she met her husband.

“I think it is that determining to trust, not making things happen that aren’t His will. And praising Him anyway… keeping our hearts soft is the best advice that I could give my youngest self and anyone who that relates to,” she recounted.

Theologian, Pastor, and Founder of God Conversations, Dr. Tania Harris, shared essential information on GOD TV Standing Together Show for every believer. She shared with Fergus Scarfe, the show’s host, about hearing God’s voice. She explained that Christians often associate hearing God’s voice as a wonderful encounter, but they don’t realize that the Holy Spirit was given to them to help them follow Jesus. “When Jesus said, my people recognize my voice, and they follow. He was talking about discipleship,” she stated.

Then, she added that the disciples listened to their teacher and followed Him. They learned what Jesus was like and became like their teacher. Since Jesus already ascended in the right hand of the Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us. “We can expect that discipleship today is going to look like, ‘What do I think the Holy Spirit is saying. How do I know if it’s God?… And then how am I following?'” she remarked.

Hearing God’s Voice

Moreover, she said that the degree to which believers follow and say yes to the Holy Spirit was the degree to which they grow up as Christians. “I realized that Holy Spirit was teaching me to be like Jesus… Relationship looks like walking with God in partnership, but I can’t walk in partnership… unless I’m actually growing to be like Jesus,” she shared. It was not dependent on how smart or how holy a person tried to be. But it’s about responding to the Spirit and following.

Furthermore, she also highlighted the key to hearing God’s voice. “It’s a posture of the heart. It’s this, ‘Jesus, I want to follow you. I want to know you.’ And when we posture our heart, that then allows us to receive the Spirit of wisdom and revelation,” she explained.
