300 prison inmates sang “God Turn It Around” in a maximum-security prison. Many inmates were saved that night!
300 Prison Inmates Worship
At the beginning of the video, the inmates started to pray. They started by praying for the nation, church unity, and prison revival. When “God Turn It Around” started to be sung, the entire prison erupted in fervent devotion.
I’m calling on the name
That changes everything, yes
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
God, turn it around
All of my hope
Is in the name
The name of Jesus
Breakthrough will come
Come in the name
The name of Jesus
The worship leader went on to pray, “Would you go and work in our country? So many of us are angry and upset, and we are so quick to judge. When peace reigns in our hearts, when we submit to one another in reverence to Christ, God will turn things around. If you agree to this prayer, would you say “amen?”

And a resounding “AMEN!” was heard in the small chapel.
“God Is Up To Something”
These 300 prison inmates couldn’t get enough of just singing one worship song. So, they started singing “God is Up to Something,” a worship song and a declaration of faith in God.
The God Behind Bars ministry posted, “GOD is up to something inside of this PRISON! 300 incarcerated men worshiping Jesus! Each man is serving 10 years to life in prison while still believing “God is up to something, God is healing someone, God is saving someone, RIGHT NOW.”
Many shed tears while strongly declaring and singing the song. It is evident in the way they sing that they truly believe God can turn things around for good despite their sentences.
Set the Captives Free
God’s will for the world is to set the captives free, and that’s what Jesus came here for. As these 300 prison inmates open their hearts and lives to God, they are being set free from eternal judgment. No longer are they slaves of sin, death, and the world. Because when the Son sets someone free, that person is free indeed!
“He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free” (Psalm 146:7, NIV).
“God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land” (Psalm 68:6, NIV).
