God tells a pilot three words after a tragic crash. He was bleeding and fighting for his life, but God saved him.
A Tragic Crash
Jon and Adrienne Leedahl were working as missionaries in Papua New Guinea when a horrific accident occurred.
With his wife Adrienne at his side, Jon Leedahl was taken on a medevac flight from Papua New Guinea to Australia, where he would have to recovery.
Jon says, “At first, when I look at this accident, it appears to be evil, not peace! But then I have to remember that the Lord sees the eternal perspective. There is a reason this happened and it has eternal benefits. I may not completely understand it, completely this side of heaven, but I can rest in the fact that the Lord has a plan and a purpose.”
God Tells A Pilot Three Words
“As I was driving home, I was coming around a blind curve, and there was a drunk driver on my side of the road. We had a head on collision. It severed an artery below my knee. My leg got pinned between the motorcycle and the land cruiser,” Jon shared.
He was bleeding to death, had shattered his leg below the knee, and had his blood count was dangerously down. Initially, he was taken to a small medical mission clinic.
Despite this, he remained hopeful in the Lord. “The Lord miraculously saved my life through many miracles that happened that night.”

The doctors were convinced Jon wasn’t going to make it. He was told that he was going to lose his leg and his life.
But when God spoke three words of encouragement, he didn’t waiver.
“I Got This”
Jon’s wife, Adrienne, described the incident as “shocking.”
“It was almost a surreal-shock feeling, when it was all happening. As soon as we were medevaced to Australia, we were surrounded by missionaries left and right. Or people who supported missionaries. Just came and encouraged us, loved on us, and made meals for us. I just felt an overwhelming peace from the Lord that He had us covered,” she said.
The couple posted on Facebook, letting their loved ones know about what happened.
“And I remember the Lord just telling me, “I got this. ” The Lord knows. It is what it is, and I don’t know why, but I have an overwhelming peace,” Jon said.
“Let’s adapt, and let’s overcome. That’s always been his personality. With the Lord guiding him, it’s no surprise to me that he has come this far,” Adrienne added.
“The Lord works through adversity. That is where He can shine. ” Just glorify Me,” it’s what the Lord was telling me,” Jon stated.
Trusting God
Jon further noted, “When we respond in a way that is peculiar to the world and that we should be angry, we should be mad at God and depressed. We didn’t have any of that because we put our trust in the Lord. We trust in Him, and He’s going to carry us through. He has purposes on this, and that speaks volumes. We are responding this way because we have the power of the Lord in us. It’s not about us. If it were left to us, we’d be a mess. It’s the power of the Lord working through us. And we just get the privilege of being a vessel and a channel of the power of the Lord to flow through.”
