Hillsong’s Senior Global Pastor Brian Houston shares a beautiful truth with believers, reminding them that “God is there” and He is “thinking about you.”
Promises That Are Too Far
Most often, we feel like God’s promises are too far yet. And sometimes, we find ourselves in a place where we don’t want to be or perhaps far from the place we long to be. Pastor Brian addresses this issue and unveils the beautiful truth behind such circumstances.
“If you’re not in a good place spiritually and you know that God has been there for you. You’re far from where you’d like to be.. it could be physical or mental,” he said.
He Is There
Pastor Brian points out how many are going through that season today. And he said, “If you could just see that God is there.”
Then he highlighted the Scripture in Jeremiah 29:12-13, “In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
He tells believers that God isn’t just there, but He is also thinking about us. Just like what He promised the Israelites in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
God Is Thinking About You
The truth that He thinks about us is something we should never forget.
“Never ever believe that in the middle of all that God is not big enough to think about you,” Brian stressed.
He then cited an instance when he fell in love with his wife, and Brian kept thinking about her because he loves her. So, he concluded, “Can you imagine God who loves you that He’s thinking about you? He knows what you’re doing, knows where you are, knows what you’re wearing, knows all of that detail. But He haven’t stop thinking about you.”
Brian further unveiled that the most powerful thing is what God thinks of us.
