Karl Martin shared the important factors that potentially hinder people from becoming who God created them to be.

Senior pastor and business leaders’ coach, Karl Martin, discussed what hinders people from living out the dreams that God planted in their hearts. “It’s not usually prohibitions, it’s inhibitions,” he stressed. He said that what stops people from becoming who God created them to be are the lies they believe that aren’t true and the unhealed wounds that have not been exposed.
He explained, “What stops us are the games that we play to protect ourselves from the reality that might grow us. What stops us is that we don’t believe the very things that God speaks over us.” He reminded everyone that God is the only one who has the right to name a person.
“He’s the only one who can tell you who you really are. He’s the only one whose commentary really counts,” he emphasized.

God Called Them By Name
Furthermore, he mentioned that God gave Mary and Joseph the ability to raise and discipline Jesus as a child, but He didn’t give them the right to name Him. It was God who named Jesus. In the same manner, God didn’t give Elizabeth and Zachariah the right to name their child. It was God who gave the name, John. He then encouraged people that God called them by name and gave them gifts, providing them with talents and dreams. The journey of a person’s life mainly revolves around discovering those things.
Moreover, he highlighted, “If your dream is not beyond you, if it’s not bigger than you, then it’s offensive to God. It’s just a to-do list if you don’t understand that God delights in fulfilling your dreams. Your passions.” He believed that God would love to see His children pursue the things that He placed in front of them.
