What is Project Girl?
Joyce Meyer Ministries has been a part of an amazing move of God in the Earth for many years! The Hand of Hope mission is a big part of what Joyce Meyer and her husband Dave do. We wanted to shine a light on what this ministry entails and the huge impact it’s making across the nations, specifically in Africa. Joyce Meyer Ministries: Hand of Hope helps spread the gospel and gives hope to some of the most broken regions in the world. One of Joyce Meyer Ministries’s goal is to help Christians grow nationally and internationally with practical tools and by digging into the Word of God. Joyce Meyer’s experience with God has tremendously impacted the way she ministers today with a heart full of mercy, healing, and encouragement.
More on Project Girl
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14) What if every young woman knew their great worth like this scripture so beautifully displays?
Joyce Meyer and her ministries have always had the heart to see young women restored by God and give women practical life tools to grow. Her ministry, Project Girl, has many initiatives including providing clean water, safe environments, anti-human trafficking, providing education, feeding programs, and sharing God’s word. Some statistics that Joyce Meyer Ministries has gathered show 80 percent of all trafficking victims are women and girls. Other statistics show that every day around the world, women walk nearly 200 million hours for water! 62 million girls are denied education and 200 million girls have been killed because of “gendercide”. (joycemeyer.org) Women and girls around the globe need our help and prayers to see breakthrough and healing come to God’s masterpieces. Justice must be done for the daughters of God!
Joyce Meyer Ministries posted recently on social media this amazing glimpse into their Project Girl outreach sharing, “We are able to support a woman’s home in East Africa that rescues commercial sex workers/victims trapped in the industry by offering them housing, education, food, clothing, and biblical counseling.” The post shows a woman named Addis who has used the tools she learned from Hand of Hope to open her own hair salon in the area. Other Outreaches of Hand of Hope
Another part of the Joyce Meyer Ministries: Hand of Hope is helping to provide food for the hungry! Deuteronomy 15:11 says, “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.” Another testimony from Joyce Meyer Ministries: Hand of Hope shares a wonderful story of a little girl named Andiswa. This 12-year-old girl went to school hungry every day. She even had trouble staying awake in class because of it. Thanks to this life-changing ministry, Andiswa is well-fed and thriving. She now has the ability to concentrate at school and enjoy life! She even shares that she wants to become a doctor one day. (Joycemeyer.org)
Joyce Meyer Ministries: Clean Water
Hand of Hope that we wanted to highlight. It is an amazing act of providing clean water to girls like Bhoomika! Joyce Meyer Ministries shares this heart-warming testimony about a 10-year-old girl name Bhoomika from a small village they ministered to. Bhoomika was normally forced to walk miles and miles to find clean water and did not have time to do this and get a good education. Due to Hand of Hope, Bhoomika’s days are now full of hope and joy as she gets to get an education instead of walking miles for water. Joyce Meyer Ministries: Hand of Hope set up a freshwater well close to her village also preventing the dangers of sex trafficking. Everything changed for this little girl and so many more because of one ministry’s kindness and heart of love.
Wow, what a mission! Joyce Meyer Ministries is truly saving lives! They are impacting the world with the love of Jesus and acting as His hands and feet. Pray for this ministry and that lives would continue to be saved, healed, and made whole. Learn more about how to get involved here.
