Christian songwriter and author Georgia Brown shares what she does every time she feels overwhelmed with the “What ifs” and the unknown.
“I didn’t feel like showing up today but I did anyway. Instead of God being our last resort, what if running to His presence was our first response? So without a look in the mirror, I came to sit in the presence of the One who never changes.”
Overwhelmed with the “what ifs”
God has never promised that life would be easy. In moments when we feel overwhelmed, all we have to do is turn to Him.
“It’s easy to get caught up in our emotions, the unknown, wrapped up in the ‘What ifs,’ fixation on things out of our control, but what you feed your mind, you become in time. So I lay down the worries of this world and I pick up His Word. And now, on the days I’m at the end of myself, I honestly share.”
Open up your heart to the father
Let us be son or daughters that fully trusts our Father.
Georgia went on saying, “He is God. He already knows, so there’s no need to hold it all in.”
Being vulnerable in the Lord doesn’t make you less of a Christian. Just as Jesus opened up his heart to the Father we can do the same.
She concluded, “He’s given you the permission and authority to do so. So will you come? Will you share? Will you let go? Because even on your worst day, He will still be God. A Father who cares and a friend who listens. You’re never alone.”
