A huge gathering of Christians are planning to meet on April 29 at the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, with over 86,000 capacity. Could this be another great spiritual awakening?
Revival Spreading Across The Nation
The weeks of nonstop worship at Asbury greatly sparked rumors of a potential new great spiritual awakening in America. It’s also because it stirred a hunger for revival across the United States. This was evident by the outpourings of the Spirit that did not remain at Asbury but spread to many Universities all over the country. As a result, many healings, deliverance, and salvations have been recorded.
Huge Gathering At 86,000-Capacity Stadium
And now, a huge gathering of Christians is slated to kick off on April 29 at the Gaylord Memorial Stadium. In an interview with CBN News, Christian evangelist Nick Hall shared that it’s a student-led event. He also remarked that “what’s happening [revival] is breaking out around the world.”
Further, Nick explained his perspective on revival.
“Revival is for the believer,” he said. “Revival literally means for something that is dead to come back to life. The psalmist prayed.. ‘God will You not revive us again?’”
The evangelist also recalled when his mentor told him, “Nick, you should live in a constant state of revival. You should always be coming back.”
So, he concluded, “I really do believe that God is doing something right now that is unprecedented in modern times. This hasn’t happened in decades.”
Students At University Of Oklahoma
Nick also revealed that the students of the University of Oklahoma received a word on the same day the revival broke out at Asbury.
“That same day, students at the University of Oklahoma, one of the largest universities in the nation.. they received word that after months of hearing, after decades of prayer, that God gave them the stadium,” he said.
“Asbury revival breaks out in the same day these students at this other University get an 86,000 seat football stadium for an event that’s still coming at the end of April. So, God is doing something and it’s just starting,” Nick added.
Further, the evangelist feels a strong message from God that “we’ve been hurting for a long time.” And for that reason, we became those versions of ourselves that weren’t supposed to be.
“And God, in His mercy, is healing us,” Nick remarked.
