Over 35,000 In Tidewater Region Hear The Gospel During Franklin Graham’s Tour

During Franklin Graham’s God Loves You Tour in the Tidewater region, more than 35,000 people heard the Gospel, and over 18,000 indicated decisions to receive Christ.

More than 35,000

Franklin Graham and his Billy Graham Evangelistic Association team have conducted evangelistic tours since 2017. They have traveled across 24 states and reached out to more than 440,000 people, with over 27,000 who decided to come to Jesus.

And now, with the tour ending in the Tidewater region, a recent report of more than 35,000 hearing the Gospel is being added to the number.

But wherever they go, the message remains: God loves you!

“Is there an emptiness in your life? Is your life such a mess that you don’t know what to do or where to go?” asked Franklin.

“Whatever the problem, I’m here tonight to tell you that Jesus Christ is the answer if you put your faith and trust in Him.”

The Tidewater Tour included six stops, one in North Carolina, one in Virginia, and four in Maryland. And as the tour wrapped up last week, 7,600 gathered in Edenton, which only has 5,000 residents.

They worshipped God with Christian artists like Newsboys, Marcos Witt, and Dennis Agajanian. And then the saving message of Jesus Christ was preached.

One attendee did not hesitate to receive Jesus after hearing the Gospel. She confessed she was an abused victim and had thought of suicide before. But the Holy Spirit spoke to her and gave her light and hope for the future.

Debbie, a prayer servant, approached her and connected her with a local pastor so that she can continue to grow more in Christ.

Meanwhile, an elderly couple was very moved by the revelation they heard. Franklin shared, “Many of you here are religious, but you do not have a relationship with God. Religion is not enough. You have to be born again.”

They diligently attended church for five years but did not know they had to be born again. So, on that day, they surrendered their hearts to Christ.

Thousand Vietnamese Received Christ At Franklin Graham’s Evangelistic Crusade

Over a thousand Vietnamese attended Franklin Graham’s evangelistic crusade and responded to the invitation to turn away from their sin and put their faith in Jesus.

Last weekend, Franklin Graham and his team booked the Phu Tho Sports facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for people hungry for God. Thousands came for the two-day Spring Love Festival, with an overflowing crowd.

Vietnam is a communist country. And having the Gospel proclaimed in a comprehensive set inside the country is a miracle in itself. But it would not be possible without the collaboration and teamwork of 300 local churches and government officials.

Before the evangelistic festival, the founder of Samaritan’s Purse met with the Vietnamese government over lunch. Franklin told them, “Even though there are many religions in this world and people have many belief systems, I haven’t come to preach about religion. I’ve come to share with the people of Vietnam how they can have a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.”

Moreover, Franklin led the crowd to pray and bless their government officials. “We stood and prayed together for those in authority as the Bible commands, for all of the leaders in government that God would direct them and bless their country.”

Thousand Vietnamese

The support from the government resulted in over a thousand attendance. On its last night, many run to the front to give their lives to Jesus. “God loves the people of Vietnam,” Franklin said. “And it was a privilege to proclaim that Good News tonight. Many came forward at the invitation to turn from their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.”

He pointed to Romans 5:8 for the people of Vietnam. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” 

Let us pray that the surrendered lives will grow to know more of Jesus.

More Than 13,000 Gathered For The First Time To Hear The Gospel In Italy

Italy’s Noi Festival with Franklin Graham gave way for more than 13,000 people to gather and listen to the powerful message of Jesus. “I’ve met a lot of people who are religious but don’t have a relationship with God,” Franklin said in his opening remark. “Religion is not enough. … You cannot work for your salvation. You cannot buy your salvation.” And it is only through Jesus that one can be saved.

More Than 13,000 In Attendance

For the first time in Italy’s history, more than 520 evangelistic churches worked together for the biggest evangelistic event ever. It resulted in thousands of attendance and hundreds of responses to Christ.

According to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), it was also the first for Milan’s Mediolanum Forum to receive its largest crowd. In its 32 years, Mediolanum has been primarily used for entertainment activities.

“There are many people here with hungry hearts, many who have been searching for peace in their lives,” Franklin said. “I’m here to tell you that God loves you. And you can find that purpose for your life by putting your faith and trust in God’s Son, Jesus Christ. He came from heaven to this earth to save us from our sins.”

At the peak time of the pandemic, when Italy became the epicenter of the country’s COVID-19, BGEA deployed field hospitals to assist the medical team. They were the first international organization to send spiritual aid and medical relief to the city.

As a result, it opened doors for churches across the region to unite and proclaim the Gospel of Christ. They worked together and planned for the biggest evangelist gathering.

Today, pastors who never met with other pastors are coming together regularly. The NOI Festival will only be their first event.

Gerry Testorill, a Festival committee member, expressed his awe for God’s work over their city. “Pastors in the north part of Milan are praying with pastors in the south. This is a blessing for our nation.”

More Than 50,000 Hears The Gospel During Franklin Graham’s Six-City Outreach

During Franklin Graham’s six-city outreach, more than 50,000 heard the Gospel, and many responded to the invitation of Jesus in their lives.

The “God Loves You Tour” is led by Franklin Graham and his team in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). It is an evangelistic initiative to let people know the transformative power and joy that the Gospel brings.

Six-City Outreach

It began in Allentown, Pennsylvania, last September 24, then to York, PA. They then stopped at Youngstown, Ohio, then at Flint, Michigan, and Waukesha, Wisconsin. The evangelistic tour ended in Rochester, Minnesota, last Sunday.

“I believe this is where our nation’s backbone of hard work, grit, and determination lies, but so many people in our country are struggling. They’re looking for hope, peace, and purpose in their lives,” Franklin shared. “We’re coming to remind everyone there is Good News! God loves us, and He sent His Son Jesus Christ to earth to save us from our sins.”

The outreach could not have happened without the partnership of local churches in each city. According to CBN News, more than 970 churches worked together with Franklin Graham.

God Loves You Tour

Nathan Brand, a senior pastor of a local church in Rochester, explained that the God Loves You Tour helps people overcome everyday challenges with the love of God. He said, “In these days of uncertainty, fear, brokenness, and despair, it is clear that we cannot save ourselves personally or as a society. The only thing that can overcome and transcend these challenges is the love of God in the transforming, life-giving work of Jesus Christ. That is what the God Loves You Tour is about.”

“The world around us is changing so drastically, but there is something that doesn’t change—God and His Holy Word,” Franklin said. “He created us, He loves us, and He wants to have a personal relationship with us. There aren’t many paths to God—only one—and that is through repentance and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. What a blessing to witness so many respond to the invitation to put their trust in Him.”

Franklin Graham Leads Thousands Of Mongolians To Christ In A First-Time Event In The Country

Franklin Graham continues spreading the Gospel to every part of the world; this time, he and his team were in Mongolia. But, what is special in their recent outreach is that it was the first evangelistic event in the country. And it resulted in thousands of Mongolians coming to Christ.

During the last weekend, more than 17,300 people filled the Steppe Arena in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, to attend the “Festival of Joy.”  Everyone was excited to experience the glory of God in their midst.

“Are you broken in your spirit? Are you spiritually empty? Have you wasted your life? Will you come to Him?” Franklin, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, invited the crowd to let Jesus enter their lives. He said, “You need Jesus Christ – He is the only way to God.”

And “hundreds of people of all ages” responded to the request as they came to Christ in surrender and repentance.

Mongolians to Christ

The evangelistic crusade is an answered prayer from Mongolian church leaders. For more than 20 years, the local church leaders have been praying that the BGEA would come and lead a revival crusade in the country.

Bayasgalan Lkhagva, one of the Mongolian pastors, expressed his excitement to the evangelistic team. He said, “Evangelist Franklin Graham has been sharing the Gospel in many parts of the world, and we are looking forward to welcoming him to Ulaanbaatar and seeing how God changes lives through the Festival of Joy.”

Consequently, more than 260 church leaders collaborated to make the event successful. And indeed, it was successful because many lives changed because of Jesus.

Franklin shared, “So many people are searching and have an emptiness that they can’t find a way to fill—they don’t even know what they’re searching for. But God loves us and wants a relationship with us. He’s the only one who can fill that void in our lives.”

More Than 68,000 Brazilians Gathered To Listen To The Gospel Brought By Franklin Graham

A crowd of more than 68,000 Brazilians gathered at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro to listen to the Gospel of Jesus. The historical event was brought about by evangelist Franklin Graham and his team of 4,000 local churches.

Since COVID restrictions started to loosen, Christians are on the double in telling God’s goodness and love. And Franklin Graham is not an exception. He and his team have been traveling around the globe, hosting evangelistic events and seeing people coming to Christ.

Last month, Graham toured the UK to spread hope in Jesus. And last Saturday, Graham and his team continued to do what they were called to in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

According to the evangelist, the eventful night was brought together by 4,000 local churches. “4,000+ churches have been a part of preparing for this event for many months,” Graham shared. “And some told us they had been praying for years.”

More than 68,000 Brazilians

And God answered their prayers as almost 70,000 came together to worship God despite the heavy rain. And thousands responded to the call of accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. The partnered churches are now busy following up the new Christians.

Vinicius Vargas, one of the pastors who collaborated, expressed his gratefulness for the opportunity. “This is a great opportunity for us to continue to help each person know more about the love of Jesus Christ. We are determined to move forward,” he continued. “To reach more people, care for those in our communities, and introduce Jesus Christ to everyone around us.”

Graham also met with Brazil’s Governor Claudio Castro to receive the leader’s support for the event. And Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro also sent his message of approval and blessing to the team. Graham shared, “I appreciate that these leaders stand with the biblical definition of marriage & against abortion in Brazil.”

Next month, Graham will continue with their “God Loves You Tour” in the UK on July 16 in London.

700 People Committed Their Lives To Jesus At Franklin Graham’s ‘God Loves You Tour’

At least 700 people have committed their lives to Jesus during Franklin Graham’s ‘God Loves You Tour’ in the United Kingdom.

Over the last month, the evangelist has toured across the country to share the hope and love in Jesus. He and his team have traveled to Liverpool, Newport, and Sheffield.

According to the Global News Alliance, the conferences have gathered over 11,000 people. And glory be to God, 700 chose to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Graham, president of the Samaritan’s Purse (a Christian charity organization), has partnered with 2,000 churches in the UK to make the event a success.

Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) ‘s UK Director, Robert Chilvers, feels grateful for the overwhelming support the local churches have given them. Today, they train church leaders and pastors to provide follow-ups for those they have evangelized.

He said, “We’ve been training people in the local churches to lead small groups, we call discovery groups, to which inquiries are referred. It’s encouraging to hear that many churches are establishing these groups especially to care for those who are making a response to the Gospel.”

God Loves You Tour

The evangelistic tour was previously pushed back by LGBT complaints. Activists and protesters from the LGBT community referred to Graham as a “hate preacher.” They rejected the evangelist’s promotional ads posted on the buses throughout the city.

But, BGEA responded to the CBN News that the ads were only asking people if they were “looking for something more.” They shared, “There is nothing offensive in these advertisements. The objection is to Rev. Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association based on our Christian beliefs. Unfortunately, this opposition is familiar and predictable.”

Indeed, when God does something magnificent to an area or a nation, the enemy will try to oppose it with its schemes. But, God is victorious. Along with His victory are the 700 souls renewed in Christ Jesus.

The God Loves You Tour will continue on July 16 at Excel, London.

Samaritan’s Purse Helps Reunite Ukrainian Refugees To Families In Canada

The Christian organization, Samaritan’s Purse, has helped reunite Ukrainian refugees with their loved ones in Canada. They airlifted 28 Ukrainians on Sunday on its DC-8 aircraft.

Franklin Graham, head of the Samaritan’s Purse, posted the group’s joyful news on its Twitter account. He shared that they have been delivering tons of food to the devastated country. But, on Sunday, they were on a “special mission.”

“We are bringing 28 Ukrainian refugees from Poland to Canada,” he said. He noted that all rescued persons had loved ones in their new place.

“There are children of all ages, grandmothers, mothers – one of them is even eight months pregnant. God bless them,” he added. “They have been through so much and had to leave behind everything except what they could carry.”

The mother-to-be, Natalia, expressed her gratefulness to the charity organization. She said that the flight was God’s miracle and answer to her prayers.

“We are all in a similar situation,” she shared. “Every person on this plane has been praying for a fresh start, a new life. And then Samaritan’s Purse told us they would help. It is God showing us his love. This is God’s mercy flight.”

Natalia could not contain her happiness that her baby would be born in a “safe country.”

The Christian Post reported that Samaritan’s Purse had delivered 330 tons of relief supplies, including their Emergency Field Hospital,  on 13 airlift missions. Along with the field hospital was a team of doctors and nurses who had treated 8,700 patients.

They stated, “In all, we have helped more than 338,000 people by distributing critical relief items such as blankets, hygiene kits, and solar lights. We are also installing community water filtration systems in areas where water sources have been disrupted or contaminated by the conflict.”

Today, Graham encouraged everyone to continue praying for Ukraine. He said, “We need to continue to pray for the people of Ukraine and do everything we can to help them.”

Franklin Graham Delivers Easter Message To Ukrainian War Victims

Franklin Graham will be returning to Ukraine to deliver an Easter Sunday message to Ukrainian war victims.

Evangelist and missionary Franklin Graham announced on his social media account that he will be returning to the war-stricken country to deliver a special Easter message. That message will be the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“I will be sharing a message the whole world needs to hear: Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, conquered sin and death 2,000 years ago when He rose victoriously from the grave,” Graham said. “This Good News changes everything—for individual hearts, for communities, and for entire nations.”

Easter Message

His preaching will be aired on Fox News on April 17 at 12 Noon Eastern Time.

“My deepest gratitude to my father Billy Graham’s friend, Mr. Rupert Murdoch, who is providing the television air time for this,” Graham wrote. “I hope you’ll mark your calendar and plan to watch as we celebrate the reason for our hope – JESUS IS ALIVE! Remember to pray for the people of Ukraine.”

This special event will also feature an 80-member Ukrainian choir ensemble and two Ukrainians who will be leading prayers.

Pray for Ukraine

Last month, Franklin has travelled to Ukraine to launch relief efforts through his ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. They have been providing Ukrainian war victims with their medical needs, food, and other necessities since March.

Prior to his return to the country, Franklin is asking all Christians to pray for revival for the Ukrainians.

“Pray that God will open hearts to the Gospel and that He will draw many to salvation in Jesus Christ.”

And also, pray for this war to end.

“Let’s keep asking the Lord to intervene and bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine,” Graham stressed.

Franklin Graham sends a letter to Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky requesting a ceasefire during the Holy Week.

Rev Franklin Graham said in an interview that he wrote to both presidents asking them for a week of the ceasefire. This is for the celebration of the Holy Week from April 10 through April 24. Although he didn’t expect a response from the Ukrainian and Russian presidents, he thought that this request is needed.

“If they can stop fighting for a week or 10 days, maybe they can stop fighting for two weeks,” Franklin Graham said. “If they stop for two weeks maybe they can stop for a month, if they stop for a month, maybe they can stop for good. You’ve got to start somewhere.”

Ceasefire

Franklin wanted to do something to ignite peace, no matter small and seemingly irrelevant his letter is. He also recently visited Ukraine to check on the war victims. His humanitarian relief organization, the Samaritan’s Purse, is providing aid to refugees and other war victims.

Samaritan’s Purse has set up emergency field hospitals and clinics in the war zone. One of which is located in an underground parking garage in Lviv. The other medical clinics are located at a train station, at a bus station, and in Chernivtsi in southwest Ukraine.

“We have orthopedic doctors, general surgeons, and all the supplies so we want to be closer to where the injured are,” said Graham.
