Almost 250,000 students across the US stood for Christ in football fields.
Fields of Faith
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hosted Fields of Faith, a student-led ministry outreach that started in 2004. Fields of Faith gather students on football fields across the US to encourage their peers to live for Christ. Since their first event, they have seen thousands of kids and young adults give their lives to Christ.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA is an organization of Christian athletes that aims to unite their passion for faith and athletics to impact the world for Jesus. The ministry started in 1954 and is still having a huge impact on student athletes today.
“In a world where bad news seems to be the norm, we’re happy to share the great news that lives are being changed through Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Fields of Faith,” Jeff Martin, FCA Executive Director of Ministry Advancement, said. “From the student leaders who take on the responsibility to bring Fields of Faith to their communities to the skeptical or hurting teen who might be attending for the first time, we see time and again that Fields of Faith motivates, energizes, rejuvenates and unites.”
Football fields nationwide
On October 9, over 250,000 students on over 500 fields nationwide joined together for this year’s Fields of Faith. The students talked with their peers about different challenges in life such as loneliness, depression, suicide, drugs, and alcohol. Then they shared the hope found in Jesus Christ with everyone.
“Jesus takes hold of lives right there on the athletic fields, and we are continually amazed at what He does each year in young peoples’ lives,” Jeff added.
Fields of Faith started with just a few students but it has grown now and Jeff credits God for that.
“Year after year, it’s an enormous blessing to see all that God has accomplished through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Fields of Faith,” Jeff said. “None of this would be possible without God and the students He raises up to organize these amazing events, where they share how Jesus has changed their lives.”
