Faith Eury Cho shared with “Better Together TV” one of the great wisdoms that the Bible had taught her: “the practice of sacred assumptions about God.”
Practice Sacred Assumptions
In an episode of “Better Together TV,” Christian author and pastor Faith Eury Cho shared an enlightening insight she learned from reading the Word of God.

The author emphasized that navigating the tension between what people know about God and the ongoing reality centers on this sacred assumption.
“I know that God is a healer, but isn’t He healing?” she stated some questions people might have in those uncertain moments. “I know that God is a redeemer, but why is He not redeeming?”
With that, Faith emphasized how often people tend to project personal narratives and assumptions amidst uncertainty. She referred to it as the “space of mystery,” where people’s assumptions may be influenced by their past experiences. However, even in these spaces, “God’s not done until He’s done.”
Assume That God is Good
Faith also remarked, “But when you see in the Bible, no wilderness lasts forever.” She then illustrated her point by using Hannah from the Bible as an example.
“Why didn’t God answer Hannah’s prayer right away? Like why did she have to cry out so much?” she said. “But it just turned out that God was setting her up to give her a prophet for Israel. So that Israel could hear the word of God once again.”
“And when we are in prayer, and if certain prayers do not get answered, it’s not a rejection, it’s an invitation for sacred assumption. To assume the good of God, the right of God. And not fill in that space with our disappointment.”
