Pastor Vlad Savchuk of HungryGen delivered a sermon emphasizing the significance of reverence for God in this generation. He explored the importance of maintaining the “fear of God when life is not fair.”
When Life Is Not Fair
In reality, life is not always smooth sailing, even for Christians. There are moments when individuals may feel that life is unjust due to disappointments and unforeseen painful events. Life is filled with uncertainty. Recognizing the significance of this, Pastor Vlad Savchuk emphasized the importance of having reverence for God. He taught that this fear of God can assist believers in navigating through the complexities of life.

“Many Christians have relationship with God and don’t have reverence for God,” he said. “And therefore, when life is not fair, they’re not faithful, they’re not on fire. They’re only on fire when prayers are answered, expectations are met, and everything seems to be okay. The moment things don’t go their way, God didn’t answer the prayer, certain expectations were not met. What begins to happen is they leave the Lord.”
Fear of God
He observed that while these Christians genuinely love God, their lack of fear and reverence for Him causes them to turn away when faced with challenges in life. Subsequently, he proceeded to share God’s heart with the present generation.
“And God is raising a generation of people who fear God,” he exclaimed. “That fear of God will consume every fear of man, fear of death, fear of failure, fear of marriage, fear of divorce, fear of elevators, fear of children, fear of not having children, fear of losing your job. Every known fear unto man gets consumed by the fear of God.”
Pastor Vlad’s sharing of these insights brings an air of excitement regarding what God may pour out upon the body of Christ. Let this serve as a reminder to every believer to never disregard their reverence for Him. May He receive eternal glory and honor.
