A megachurch pastor in the Philippines shares how we can experience peace in our lives.
Pastor Peter Tan-Chi
Pastor Peter Tan-Chi is the founder and senior pastor of Christ’s Commission Fellowship, a megachurch in the Philippines. In his recent sermon, he discussed achieving peace amidst the chaotic times we are currently living in. He emphasized that the one thing that could restore our peace is our hope.
“If you don’t have hope, you become restless, you become anxious, you worry.”
He then quoted a verse in Psalm 62 to explain that our hope should solely rely on God.
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Psalm 62:5

Experience Peace
Our true rest and peace come only from the Lord. Nothing else can provide the peace that God offers. No amount of money or success can grant us that kind of peace.
“If your hope comes from people, if your hope comes from politicians, if your hope comes from money, you will never be at peace. I’m telling you right now, you want to have real peace? Do you want to have real rest? Hope in God. God is our sure hope! Nothing else.”
Pastor Peter ended his preaching with a prayer for everyone hearing this message to anchor their hope in Jesus Christ. With our hope in Jesus, we can experience real peace, joy, rest, and courage to face the world and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ.
“My prayer is all of us, because our hope is anchored in Jesus, what will happen to your life? Restedness, joy, peace, courage! You will not live in fear. John was never afraid, he confronted the people, he confronted the king and he told people, ‘This is the Messiah.’ You point people to Jesus, you will not be jealous, it will not be about you.”
