A group of elderlies gathered together at dawn to worship and pray for the world instead of locking up themselves in the room in fear.
According to Dr. Peter Hotez, Dean of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, the COVID-19 is a threat to elderlies and people with an underlying condition. Because having a weak immune system could complicate their health condition which could eventually result in death.

For this reason, elderlies and people with weak immune systems are encouraged to be extra careful. Because they’re more likely to be easily infected by COVID-19. And some recent death reports from the U.S. due to the virus revealed that “the vast majority of those who died were elderly.”
The news stirred great fear to elderly people, especially among the older men. However, some group of elderlies responded in such a fearless way.

Elderlies Responding In Faith
Christian Fernandez Fermin, who witnessed the powerful moment, shared the happening to a Christian group. He wrote, “In the middle of the Corona Outbreak.????❤️
Here’s a group of Seniors who woke up before sunset to pray and mourn for the land. No worries about their health, but care for world.”
Also, the hashtag said that God is our only hope.

True enough, these elderlies responded in an unexpected yet fearless way.
The picture revealed that more than 15 people gathered along the seashore. Together, forming a circle, the group worshiped God and interceded for the world. Some kneeled down and some lifted up their hands to God. Despite the threat about their health due to old age, they went out of their way to pray and cry out for the land.
One picture showed of a grandma wearing a navy blue and gray jacket who stood before them. Perhaps they might have feasted on the Word of God too.

These elderlies are an epitome of a fearless church. And this is what the world needs to see today.
We need not be afraid of what is happening in the world. Instead we should respond in worship and prayer as a sign of our faith in God. Trusting and believing that He can work wonders in the midst of this critical period.
As what the Word of God says, “Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that He will lift you up in his own good time.Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
