Drug Dealer Encountered An Angel In Prison Who Changed His Life Forever

A former drug dealer met an angel in his prison cell and he changed his life forever.

Juan Martinez was born in New Jersey in a Catholic family. When he was eight, his parents separated, and that led him to get into the street life. From a very young age to his adulthood, he got into using drugs until he started selling them to different cities.

He knew his life was in terrible shape and he knew he had to do something about it. Juan was admitted to a mental hospital where he was diagnosed with depression. He wanted to change his life but it seemed impossible for him. Because of his criminal deeds, he got in and out of prison. It was when he moved to Texas that God started talking to him.

“One morning, I’m going to go sell drugs as usual. I got a driver, I’m in the car, and I remember kicking back and I’m just looking up and I hear this voice. Everything kind of muffles out and He says, ‘Why are you killing, stealing, and destroying the very lives I’ve given people,'” he recalled tearfully.

Angel in prison cell

After some time, he got imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. Someone set him up for assault and robbery. The authorities also discovered his drugs. Juan was sentenced to 25 years in prison. But it was at that time when the Lord would change his life forever.

“Going to my cell, because I’m facing the twenty-five years, the interesting part is that I meet a guy there and he tells me He’s a pastor. I go to my cell, I look up, and the next day, he’s in the cell. He’s prostrated on the ground with his blanket.”

He wanted to ask this guy some questions but he didn’t get up for one hour. When he got up, he asked him what was he doing and his answer surprised Juan.

“I was praying for you. I’m only here for you… That’s the only reason I could be here,” that guy answered.

Today, Juan believed that he was an angel sent by God to save him. The following day, he started reading the Bible. It was in his prison cell when he got to his knees and talked to God for the very first time in his life. Turns out, the mysterious guy was innocent all along.

Now, Juan is a pastor at Get Wrapped Church in Houston Texas and he is serving the Lord with his beautiful wife, Ruth. When asked who Jesus is for him, with tears he confessed that Jesus is everything.

“He’s everything. I could say all the things that He has been because He’s so much greater than that. Jesus started as my rescuer, my deliverer, and then Jesus was my father. He’s my Lord, He’s my King.”

Man Miraculous Transformed From Drug Dealer To Prison Pastor

Jorge Torres turned to selling drugs to improve his family’s dire situation. But along with that decision came violence that eventually affected his home. Troubled, Jorge longed for a way out of being a drug dealer when one day he was invited to a church.

As young as seven years old, Jorge remembered that he had accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. A young lady named Mary would come to their neighborhood and minister to all the children there. Because of Mary, Jorge knew and believed in Jesus.

But as he got older, he slowly became more aware of the poverty he was living in. His parents worked hard to make ends meet. Jorge and his siblings would also help from a cleaning job they had, but it wasn’t enough.

So, Jorge turned to drug dealing. He saw it as the solution to their problems.

Indeed, he earned fast money because of it, but then he was accused of crimes. The court had considered him “a danger to society.” And that phrase haunted him. But he couldn’t see another way out.

But one incident made Jorge consider his lifestyle.

One day, his house was shot at by unknown shooters. Fortunately, no one was harmed. Jorge believed it was the grace of God that preserved his family despite his foolishness.

Then, his sister invited him to church one day, and he decided to go.

Pastor and Author

During the service, he wanted someone to talk and ask for help. But no one approached him. So, Jorge started to leave because he had given it a chance.

But, he crossed paths with one of the pastors and asked to talk to him.

And as they sat down, Jorge became vulnerable to a stranger. He shared his story and problems.

And after two hours, the pastor told Jorge, “One day, you’re gonna work for God. One day, you’re going to tell your story and change people’s lives.”

Jorge started following Jesus and soon became a pastor to inmates. He also authored a book, “Danger to Society,” that tells his story of how God reached him.

Baltimore Drug Dealer Now Leads People To Jesus

After encountering the Holy Spirit, a Baltimore drug dealer is leading people to Jesus.

Aaron Livers was established in his business dealing drugs in Baltimore. At the early age of 20, Aaron was known in the city. People respected and feared him because of his position. Aaron also raised up others to deal for him.

He had everything he wanted, and he could get anything he wanted. Aaron became prideful and arrogant, but deep inside; he was disgusted with himself.

Getting involved in drugs includes losing people’s lives and murders were routine for them.

One day, when Aaron was driving home with one of his friends, a shooter tried to take Aaron’s life. Aaron took the shots as he covered his friend. And he remembered praying, “God, don’t let me die like this.”

The next thing he knew, he opened his eyes and found himself in the hospital alive.

Jesus loves you

A nurse who tended to him offered to pray for him, which Aaron welcomed. She told him that Jesus loves him and has a purpose for his life.

When Aaron completely recovered, he went back to his friends. They returned to what they usually did, but for some reason, Aaron felt he didn’t belong anymore.

He went home and sat on his couch. And then, all of a sudden, he felt God’s presence enveloped him. Aaron recalled, “I never felt love like this in my life. I felt this overwhelming peace, overwhelming love, overwhelming sensation just start coming over me.”

Confused with the situation, Aaron opened his phone, and saw a video of a pastor talking about God’s love. He wept as he knew right then that God was filling him up.

Then, Aaron decided to read the Bible, and it started his walk with Jesus. For the next few days, he would spend his time with Jesus.

Leading People To Jesus

He left drug dealings and God gave him a new business. Everyone that knew him saw the change.

Eventually, his wife, who saw firsthand how God transformed Aaron’s life, followed Jesus.

And today, Aaron’s bible study, which began with only two people, now becomes a gathering of believers hungry for Jesus. He is now the pastor of The Commission, with a mission of bringing Jesus to others.

Pastor Challenges The Church: ‘You’re Using Me Like A Drug Dealer’

A pastor in New York City rebuked the church he is pastoring, telling them, “you’re using me like a drug dealer.”

In a recent Instagram post, the lead pastor shared a moment when he rebuked the church God entrusted to him. Apparently, Mike struggled with his church members’ attendance. He wanted to lead the congregation to God’s design for church.

“Whenever you’re in deliverance ministry, you’ve got to take your church from a hospital to a family,” he explained. “And from a family to an army. If it’s only a hospital, you’re gonna actually make spiritual orphans and they’re gonna use you like a drug dealer.”

Pastor Rebukes The Church

Also, Pastor Mike’s Brooklyn campus grew with a “500 person.” But he couldn’t see them every week. He could only see them every four weeks or every six weeks. So, the pastor rebuked them. He told his whole church, “I’m a spiritual father and you’re using me like a drug dealer.. Because you come here to get your fix. And then you go back to your lifestyle and then every three, four weeks, it comes back. And you’re like ‘let’s go back to V1 church and get another hit. You know, another feel-good.’”

As the lead pastor, Mike wants to obey God’s Word in making disciples, not just growing a church. He wants to confront people’s selfish desire to simply get a fix and then not genuinely follow Jesus.

He remarked, “I’m like this is not discipleship, because faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit.”

Instagram user @kelsierochellemoore, who has the same conviction, commented, “A fix! This is so good! In ministry, I’ve noticed lots of people don’t want discipleship because they don’t want accountability.”

A drug dealer met God in a place he didn’t expect. When he became clean, he discovered he had cancer. But he experienced a miracle.

Jacob Watson was in eighth grade when he first experienced crippling anxiety. “I had no idea what the cause of it was, and I wasn’t able to be myself around my friends at school. That led to people picking on me,” he said.

He tried so hard to fit in and noticed that doing bad things would get him the attention he was craving. “If you want the attention, if you want to be the cool person, if you want to be accepted, you have to do this,” Jacob said.

So, he started selling drugs with his girlfriend.

Drug Dealer Met God in an Unlikely Place

But it was when he dropped out of high school that he started rejecting God. He remembered saying, “‘God, I don’t want you in my life anymore. I’m done, I don’t want to do anything with you.’ I remember denying God and rejecting Him.”

Jacob went on with his life, not thinking about God. But his decisions led him to prison many times.

“I went to jail twice, initially. The first time was in six months, and the second time, I was on house arrest for four months. And then I ended up running away from house arrest,” he said.

The police caught him and he ended up going to jail for six months. A year later, he got out but then ended up spending another month in jail.

During those times when he was in jail, he thought about God. “I remember one time when I went to jail, and when I was sitting in jail, that’s when God became appealing to me. Kind of because I was in a situation… ‘Oh, this can be my way out here.’

Praying for the First Time

“But I remember sitting in jail, and the guy that was in my cell with me… He was this big. I’m this little, skinny, eighteen-year-old. And he’s this big—six-foot tall. He just told me he just finished doing 13 years in the penitentiary. This is my cellmate, and we’re sitting there, and I was literally just mad. But I don’t know how we got on the topic, but I just said, ‘Man, I’m just going to pray. And asked, “Can I pray for you?’ So, I was praying.”

He said he didn’t know how to pray at first, but he asked God to do something about their situation.

Unbeknownst to him, it was the Holy Spirit who led him to pray. The next morning, the man told him that he was thinking of hanging himself: “I was thinking about it, but you said, can I pray for you? That’s why I didn’t do it.”

Looking back, Jacob rejected God and didn’t want to do anything with Him. Yet the Holy Spirit moved regardless and saved his cellmate.

Miraculously Healed From Cancer

Aside from a “drug dealer met God” testimony, Jacob also experienced God’s miraculous healing.

When he started getting clean and actually seeking God, he didn’t expect that he would be diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Then things got worse to the point that he couldn’t eat and drink, and the chemo couldn’t do anything for him anymore, Jacob opened his Bible and read Hebrews 11. It became his hope!

He prayed, “Lord, You are my answer to this. You’ve brought me through so much, and You are my answer to this.”

The morning came, and the cancerous lumps were gone. The doctor ran a few tests to see what happened, and the cancer was nowhere to be found!

Jacob had been miraculously healed. Praise the Lord!

Revival Breaking Out in Bakersfield, California—Leading Drug Dealer Surrenders Life To Christ

A leading drug dealer surrenders his life to Christ, with the revivals breaking out in Bakersfield, California. He ran to the preacher, gave up his large bag of marijuana buds, and professed, “Give me Jesus right now!”

Despite the odds in doing ministry in the city, Mario and his team expect God’s mighty moving “bigger and better” than in the past. And they are passionate and hopeful to God about it.

In an interview with Charisma News, he shared that they’re “going to do a tent crusade on March 12th through the 15th in Bakersfield.”

“It is a city that is trying to turn to God,” he explained. “It’s a city where our workers are going door to door and masses are being born again.”

Revivals In Bakersfield

The evangelist shared one powerful testimony of a drug dealer who surrendered to Christ during one of their crusades.

“The last time we were there… I’m preaching in Bakersfield. We can’t get the people in the tent,” Mario recounted. “The temperature outside is 40 degrees and people are shivering in the cold, standing out there for hours, lost souls, people that don’t know God.”

While giving his sermon, a leading drug dealer in the city suddenly interrupted him. He had a large bag of marijuana buds with him as he ran to the front towards the evangelist.

“He’s quaking,” Mario described. “We have it on video, he’s quaking. He throws it on the floor and he says, ‘I cannot do this anymore!'”

The “security came because they thought he was going to attack” Mario. But then, he surprisingly exclaimed, ‘No! Give me Jesus right now!'”

Miraculous events like these are a picture of the radical power of the Gospel. According to the report, it’s a “rare occurrence but a reality in the lives of Christians who are filled with the Spirit of God.”

Shortage Of Workers

Evangelist Mario stressed that the harvest time has come, but there is a shortage of workers.

“They want God,” he remarked. “And what are [in] critical shortage? Workers. We don’t have nearly enough workers. That’s what led me to the book that I wrote called ‘It’s Our Turn Now.”

“This what I find 12 minutes into a sermon,” Mario further explained. “I have to stop because the audience wants to get saved…this is why I sit there, and I’m watching prostitutes, homeless people, drug addicts [get] saved, I can’t get enough workers.”

Brandon grew up in a home filled with trouble. Both his parents partied, and his dad beat him. He never felt love nor acceptance in his home. As a result, he turned to the streets to find it and joined a gang where he thought he belonged. As young as 12-years-old, Brandon was already doing drugs. The teen then lived his life as a gangster, because he found fulfillment in it.

But after Brandon met Tara, he pursued her. However, after Tara got pregnant, the 15-year-old went back to his old life, even with a child. He didn’t slow down and kept partying. What’s more, his gang life turned him into a violent drug dealer. His delusional sense of pride led his life on a downward path. He also aimed to become a hitman or a kingpin.

Hearing God’s Voice

Consequently, Brandon went in and out of jail. Until it came to the point when he faced a serious prison sentence for a gun charge. And that’s when God got his attention and spoke to him in jail.

Amidst the mess he created in his life, Brandon wondered inside the jail. He felt sorry for himself for what he was doing with his life. Then he suddenly heard God’s voice and felt love surrounding him.

“Are you going to go left or right? This is time. If you don’t serve Me, I’m going to let you go. To let you do what you want to do,” God told Brandon.

The gangbanger cried and responded, “Lord, I’m here. I will serve You!”

Soon after, Brandon shared his encounter with God with his wife. And miraculously, authorities threw his gun charge out of court. By then, he caught for the Lord and went to church. There, he raised his hands and invited Jesus in his heart. Since then, he was never the same again.

23-Year-Old Drug Dealer Tried Praying And God Answered

A 23-year-old drug dealer earning $700 a day tried praying to a God he didn’t know, and God answered in a mysterious yet powerful way.

Dysfunctional Home

Ryan Prasad grew up in a difficult environment because of his alcoholic and violent dad. As the oldest child, he felt helpless watching his mom abused by his dad. As a result, he became an insecure, unforgiving, and angry teenager. During high school, the teen turned to alcohol and marijuana to cope with his pain. But the power and acceptance it gave him led him deeper into the addiction.

Becoming A Drug Dealer

Then in 2010, Ryan discovered easy money in drug dealing. So, he became a drug dealer and soon dropped out of college to earn money. It then became his goal to build his own empire—money, cars, women, and power. Ryan was able to achieve it with the quick cash from drug dealing, but he struggled deep inside.

Ryan found no way out of his chosen lifestyle and hated what he became.

Praying To God

“Reality was I’m probably gonna have to stay here until I go to jail, or I die,” he recounted. And so, out of desperation, Ryan prayed to the God he didn’t know.

“God, if You’re there, I need You to help me out of my lifestyle and what I’m doing,” he desperately told God. “Because I don’t know how I’m going to get out or what to do.”

Then finally, Ryan got arrested in 2016 and faced six years in prison. But despite the odds, he hoped that what happened would spark change in him and start a new beginning. He then acknowledged that “God was like actually working in this.” Soon, the court released him on bail to a Christian recovery house. And as he regularly attended church and someone prayed over him, the Presence of God overcame him. His craving for drugs then disappeared at once. Soon, Ryan surrendered everything to Christ and got baptized.

Eddie Ramirez came to America from Cuba in 1967. He grew up distant from his father, who was aggressive and angry. And at 13-years-old, his parents got divorced. The pain from a broken relationship with his dad made him angry and often got him into fights with other kids in the neighborhood.

Becoming A Drug Dealer

Because of Eddie’s toughness, some older boys led him into the drug trafficking ring. He got the attention he craved and became a drug dealer to high-profile clients. Since then, it led him even more to the dark path of drug addiction.

The former drug addict recalled how he wasn’t able to stop because he had power, money, and status. He loved that he felt he was in control. But in reality, his life was way out of control and reckless.

A Desire To Change

One day, he got into a motorcycle accident and was ran over by a truck, nearly killing him. After recovering, his best friend, who became a Christian, brought him to a church. But he didn’t feel comfortable in the church and went back to his money-making business, dealing drugs, and continued living a life of violence. He continued filling his emptiness with cocaine and felt hopeless.

In another incident, Eddie was shot in the head. But still he survived. And soon after, the drug dealer felt a desire to change his life. So, he asked for help from his mother and went to a rehab facility where Jesus encountered him.

Jesus came to him in a dream and spoke to him. The words Eddie heard Him say turned his life around. The moment he woke up, he was never the same again and was immediately set free from drug addiction.

“My life was changed. He came, He save me right on time,” he recounted.

On top of the abuse, Elizabeth also experienced bullying at school. The teen had no way to cope with her pain and began to harm herself. Thus, she began cutting. Although the teen went to church, she got angry at God for all the unfavorable circumstances she was experiencing. She questioned God for all the bad things happening in her life.

At 14-years-old, Elizabeth decided to ran away from home. She hoped her dad would love and accept her. Hence, she lived with him. However, the teen only felt pain again, so she left home again.

Drug Dealing, Trafficking, And Prostitution

Soon after, Elizabeth fell in love with an older man and began living with him. But then, the he only introduced her to drugs and drug dealing. He was using her in her drug business. Caught up in the downward path feeling lost and empty, Elizabeth was also forced into prostitution. For many years, she lived on the streets just to earn money and live. As a result, she spent time in and out of jail.

Elizabeth got pregnant at 26-years-old and gave birth to a son. But being a mother didn’t change anything. She still couldn’t change her lifestyle. And soon, she was arrested and sent to prison for five years.

In prison, Elizabeth greatly desired to change. So, she reached out to a pastor who regularly visited the cells. That’s when Elizabeth began attending Bible Studies and understood the love of God. She grew closer to God until finally, Elizabeth surrendered her life to Jesus Christ.

That’s when God showed Elizabeth how He could turn things around and redeem her life forever. Watch what happened!
