Karl Martin Shares What Hinders People From Becoming Someone God Created Them To Be

Karl Martin shared the important factors that potentially hinder people from becoming who God created them to be.

Senior pastor and business leaders’ coach, Karl Martin, discussed what hinders people from living out the dreams that God planted in their hearts. “It’s not usually prohibitions, it’s inhibitions,” he stressed. He said that what stops people from becoming who God created them to be are the lies they believe that aren’t true and the unhealed wounds that have not been exposed.

He explained, “What stops us are the games that we play to protect ourselves from the reality that might grow us. What stops us is that we don’t believe the very things that God speaks over us.” He reminded everyone that God is the only one who has the right to name a person.

“He’s the only one who can tell you who you really are. He’s the only one whose commentary really counts,” he emphasized.

God Called Them By Name

Furthermore, he mentioned that God gave Mary and Joseph the ability to raise and discipline Jesus as a child, but He didn’t give them the right to name Him. It was God who named Jesus. In the same manner, God didn’t give Elizabeth and Zachariah the right to name their child. It was God who gave the name, John. He then encouraged people that God called them by name and gave them gifts, providing them with talents and dreams. The journey of a person’s life mainly revolves around discovering those things.

Moreover, he highlighted, “If your dream is not beyond you, if it’s not bigger than you, then it’s offensive to God. It’s just a to-do list if you don’t understand that God delights in fulfilling your dreams. Your passions.” He believed that God would love to see His children pursue the things that He placed in front of them.

Jesus Appeared In The Dreams Of 200 Men In Gaza Amid War

Despite the difficult conditions that Gaza is facing today, God is still working. Jesus appeared to 200 men in their dreams, according to the reports of the underground Christian churches ministering in Gaza.

Michael Licona, president of Risen Jesus Inc., has shared on his official Facebook page the wonderful news he has received from his Christian friends in Gaza.

There has been a supernatural move of God as He visited 200 men in Gaza.

Michael wrote, “Over the past two days, we have ministered to hundreds of fathers who have lost most, if not all, of their children in the war. As we moved these men to safety, we fed them, washed their clothes, and began to read the Bible to them — sharing the way of peace through Jesus.”

He continued, “Then, a big miracle happened. Last night, Jesus appeared to more than 200 of them in their dreams! They have come back to us to learn more from God’s Word and are asking how to follow Jesus.”

Many have celebrated with Michael’s announcement. They believe it is one of their answered prayers for the Palestinians.

However, Michael expressed that there are still more Palestinians who need freedom. He shared, “I side with Israel in this war; not necessarily for theological reasons but because Hamas and those backing it are pure evil. Yet, I know that not all Palestinians support Hamas. In fact, they will be punished severely if even suspected of not supporting Hamas. Let’s pray that this war can be over soon and that Israel can eradicate Hamas so that Palestinians can be free…of Hamas.”

Prayers for the Persecuted

Moreover, Joel Rosenberg, told CBN News of the dire situation of the Palestinian Christians. According to Joel, the Palestinian Christians cannot evacuate from the city despite Israel’s order.

He said, “They’re terrified to go south, because they’re not Muslims, they’re Christians, and the Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, and other violent, genocidal, Islamist extremists are going to slaughter these Christians.”

Let us continue to pray for God’s continual work amid this war.

God’s Word for the Day: Dream Again

It’s time to dream again and align yourself with God’s promises over your life. Are you pursuing the dreams God has given you?

What Does the Bible Say?

Acts 2:17 proclaims, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

In a world where dreams often seem to wither and fade amidst the pressures and challenges of life, this is a timeless scripture that beckons us to look beyond our circumstances and dare to dream again.

These profound words, spoken by the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost, carry an invitation from your Heavenly Father to tap into the wellspring of His Spirit, open your heart to divine inspiration, and reimagine what is possible.

Throughout history, men and women who dared to dream, who dared to believe that God’s promises could become a tangible reality, have left an indelible mark on the world. From Joseph, who dreamed of leadership and saw nations saved from famine, to Martin Luther King Jr., who envisioned a future of racial equality and touched millions with his dream of unity, we are surrounded by a cloud of dreamers who have shaped the course of history.

Yet, in the midst of life’s challenges, disappointments, and setbacks, your dreams can easily become dormant. You may find yourself trapped in a cycle of hopelessness, afraid to dream again for fear of further disappointment. But Acts 2:17 is a reminder that God’s Spirit is poured out upon all people, breathing life into your dreams and giving you the courage to rise above your circumstances.

It is time to awaken the dreamer within you. It is time to quiet the voices of doubt and fear and listen to the gentle whisper of God’s promises. It is time to take hold of the dreams that have been tucked away in the depths of your heart and allow them to flourish once again.

But how do we begin this journey of dreaming again?

It starts with a posture of surrender—a willingness to let go of your own limitations and lean into the boundless possibilities of God’s kingdom. It requires you to align your desires with His purposes, seek His guidance, and allow His Spirit to shape your dreams.

Immerse yourself in His presence, cultivate a lifestyle of prayer and worship, and create space for God to breathe life into your dreams. Invite Holy Spirit to inspire you, to paint visions in your mind, and to infuse you with the audacity to believe that you can make a difference in the world.

Remember that dreams are not solely for personal gain or ambition. They are given to you as stewardship—an opportunity to partner with God in the restoration of His creation. As you dream again, embrace the responsibility to love and serve others, using your dreams as vehicles for His love and compassion.

When Eric Gilmour asked God how exactly to pray, He appeared in his dream and told him what to do.

With this mission in mind, he encourages his audience to fully depend on God. “We must always be careful never to use spiritual disciplines, fasting, or theology as a replacement for simple dependency.”

But there was also a point in his life when he struggled to pray. So he asked God about it.

God Appears In His Dream

“One day I asked the Lord to teach me to pray before I went to sleep. And I slipped into a dream. And this doesn’t happen very often. I’m not a prophet. I don’t have dreams like this all the time. I said, “Lord, please show me what prayer is. Teach me,” he said.

Even though he was waiting for God to answer, he didn’t expect that He would show up in his dream.

“And in the dream… I fall asleep, and what begins to happen is I see this old Italian cafe with two cups of coffee. He’s sitting on one side and I’m sitting on the other. There’s nobody else there. It’s just him and me. So, I sat down across from him; we both had cups of coffee. He said nothing. I said nothing. We’re just aware of each other’s presence,” he recalled.

God Appears In His Dream And Tells Him How To Pray

Initially, Eric didn’t know what had just happened or what the meaning behind his dream was.

Then he asked God, “Lord, what was that?”

Then it dawned on him that it was the answer to the question he asked before sleeping.

“And I felt like the Lord told me, “You wanted me to teach you how to pray.”
I’m like, could it be so simple that all it is: JUST TO BE WITH HIM!”

God’s Word For Today: Breathe Life Into Dry Bones

Breathe Life Into Dry Bones. It is in His presence and through His power that your dreams and hopes are revived.

Friend, have you ever felt that your hopes and dreams have withered away, buried beneath the weight of life’s challenges? Today, I want to remind you of the incredible power we have in Christ to breathe life into those dead things and watch them flourish once again.

What Does The Bible Say

In Ezekiel 37:4, we read, “Then he said to me, ‘Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.'” This verse holds a profound message of restoration and revival.

The source of life and renewal in Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones, God asked him to prophesy over those lifeless bones. As Ezekiel spoke the words of God, the breath of God entered those bones, bringing them back to life. This powerful imagery is a reminder that it is God’s breath, His Spirit, that brings life and renewal to the dead areas of your life.It is in His presence and through His power that your dreams and hopes are revived.

Job 33:4 declares, “The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”

Psalm 104:30 affirms, “When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.”

Speaking life into dead dreams in the same way that Ezekiel spoke the word of God over the dry bones, you too have the authority and power to prophesy life into your dead dreams and hopes. Through faith-filled declarations and prayers, you can align your words with God’s promises and watch as His resurrection power transforms the lifeless into the vibrant. Remember that your words have the ability to shape your reality.

Trust in God’s perfect timing and plan as you breathe life into your dreams. Sometimes, the process of revival may not unfold as quickly or in the way you expect. But you can rest assured that God’s ways are higher than yours, and His timing is always perfect. As you surrender your dreams to Him, you can find peace and joy in knowing that He is working all things together for your good.

Dying Chinese Shaman Sees Jesus In Dreams, Follows Him, and Is Healed

A dying Chinese Shaman sees Jesus in her dreams in a rural village in Northwest China with active persecution of Christians. A popular shaman who consults “demons and darkness.” Doesn’t seem like the makings of a Christian conversion story, does it? But let’s not underestimate God.

Open Doors USA, a persecution watchdog group, reported that Ting, a Chinese shaman that attracted thousands with her “divine counsel,” has become a Christian after seeing Jesus in a dream while on her deathbed. All over the world there have been similar reports of conversions resulting from vivid dreams.

Could God be working in the hearts and minds of his people – even those in far-off, abandoned places – through dreams?

Ting Sees Jesus In Dreams

Ting had a grave illness, so grave that she was unable to consult spirits to answer people’s burning questions anymore. In fact, she was on her deathbed. Not only that, she was in extreme pain and agony. Sleep was her only escape. Little did she expect that this sleep had the power to heal her ailing body and broken spirit.

Here’s Ting’s entrancing description of her powerful dream:

“I was in the back seat of a taxi as my brother drove me towards an endless darkness. But then three men, who were wearing brilliant white robes, approached. But their light was so bright, I couldn’t see their faces. They told me I must make a choice. And as they spoke, two other men wearing black robes invited me to follow them.”

Faced with this choice of eternal consequence, what did Ting do? “I knew in my heart one of the men wearing a white robe was Jesus. So I followed him.” Ting awoke to find her body completely healed. Now lucid, she consciously decided to follow Christ.

Although her decision was clear-cut, it was certainly not easy in a land that intensely persecutes Christians.

Does God Communicate Through Dreams

Believe what you will about Ting’s story, but the fact is that without divine, radical intervention, Ting had no reason to leave her old spirituality behind and follow Christ. These old spiritual practices had been her very livelihood!

While it is clear that not all dreams are divinely-inspired, is it possible that some are? Ancient Christian thought supports this idea. The Philokalia, a compilation of writings by ancient Eastern Orthodox Christian spiritual masters, describes divine dreams as those that “appear to the soul through God’s love” and “do not shock our inward sense … or become threatening.”

Instead, “with great gentleness, [divine dreams] approach the soul and fill it with spiritual gladness.” Because of this, “the soul longs to recapture the joy given to it by the dream.”

A God-Led Revival

Sure enough, Ting’s dream seems to have been a product of God’s love, filling her soul with spiritual gladness. And she’s not the only one to experience something like this. All over the world, knees are bowing before our Heavenly Father.

Right now, God is equipping and empowering missionaries to reach the far corners of the Earth. And even where they don’t reach, God does.

A young boy shared his dreams of someday becoming an NFL player and inventor. But above all, he proclaimed, “I’m going to become a preacher!”

Kid’s Ambition Is To Become A Preacher

The young football player, CJ Woods II, shared his ambition for he grows up in a video his mom recorded in 2020. The conversation between the mother and son that is so heartwarming.

“I’m gonna be an inventor still, but I’m gonna be a preacher,” CJ told his mom, Lauren. The young boy then pretended to preach a message to the congregation.

“God is opening the door for you,” he said. “You just got to have the courage to walk through that door. If you don’t walk through that door, all that stuff is gonna come behind you..”

He encouraged, saying, “God is gonna fight your battles for you..”

Further, CJ shared, “If you’re gonna do something nice to a person, it’s gonna come right back to you. And God’s gonna bless you with a blessing…”

How to Respond When The Devil Attacks Your Mind

The young boy also talked about how he responds whenever the devil attacks his mind. He said, “Sometimes in my football games, the devil comes. He’s like ‘you’re gonna lose CJ.’ It keeps whispering on his head. And then God is like fighting him in my mind.. Jesus is telling me ‘you got this CJ.’”

Then he concluded, “So, no matter what you do, you can always get up because God will always put His hand. He’ll be like ‘are you okay’? You just got to keep your mind on the prize. Don’t let go and you can always come back. Never quit!”

“Never quit.. because what’s the point?.. You can’t let that devil get into your mind!”

“If you trust Him, nothing can go wrong,” he stressed. “If you don’t, then think ‘He is my Savior, He is my Savior, and He is always on my side… Keep your eyes on the prize.”

In the end, CJ sang a worship song with his mother.

Iranians Encounter Jesus In Dreams And Receive Radical Transformation; “I Cannot Keep Quiet About Jesus”

Iranians encounter Jesus most extraordinarily. While most learn about Jesus through witnessing His grace and salvation, Iranians receive salvation through their dreams. Apparently, Jesus meets them and reveals Himself to them in their sleep.

Iranians Encounter Jesus

Transform Iran, an organization primarily reaching out to Iran with the Gospel’s transformative power, testifies how God has worked in the country. Its founder, Lazarus Yeghnazar, told FaithWire how Iranians become Christians because of their supernatural dreams.

“The beauty of Iranian Christians..the Iranian Muslims who come to Christ don’t absorb the truth to themselves. They cannot stop talking about it,” he said.

Lazarus recalled one believer named Ali, who was persecuted because of his faith. Ali shared, “I’m sorry, nobody witnessed to me. I saw a vision of a man with a white robe, with a cross on his shoulder or on his heart, and he says, ‘I’m Jesus.'”

Then, he was told not to tell anyone about his vision and dreams, but Ali could not keep silent. He could not keep to himself what Jesus had done to him because Ali was a heroin addict. He did everything to stop his addiction. But only Jesus did that. Jesus told Ali, “Ali, you’re a changed person.”

Since then, Ali’s life has been transformed.

Witnessing In Dreams

Lazarus differentiated the conversion of faith in the West and the Middle East, specifically in Iran. The West knows Jesus because of evangelism, but the Middle East sees dreams.

“In the Middle East, people see visions,” Lazarus explained. “In the Western understanding, we want everything to be tangible, verifiable, accountable.”

He added, “Any gathering of Iranians or Afghan Christians, if you say, ‘How many have seen dreams that have been touched, if not radically, transformed because of a vision?’ [and] 90% will raise their hands. If you ask a church in Wisconsin, or in Maryland, or Boston, ‘How many people have come to Christ through a dream?’ they would say, ‘What is a dream?'”

Moreover, Lazarus pointed out how God revealed Himself to many persons in the Bible. And encountering God in dreams is still relevant today.

Korean War Veteran Reunites With His Long Lost Japanese Love After 70 Years

A Korean war veteran had prayed for 70 long years to reunite with his lost love, a Japanese woman. After searching far and wide, the woman was never far all along. She was only miles away from him.

Duane Mann was 21 when US Navy stationed him in Japan in 1954. There, he met a local named Peggy Yamaguchi. It was no longer than six months that the two fell in love and wanted to get married as soon as possible.

But, the Navy decided to discharge Duane in his position and ordered him to return to the US earlier than agreed. So, the veteran had no choice but to promise Peggy that he would send for her.

When he arrived home, he found out that his father had spent all his savings. He also thought Peggy did not write him letters, only to discover that she did. But, his mother burned the letters because she did not want her son to marry a Japanese woman.

The last letter he finally received contained Peggy’s farewell. She informed him about how she lost their baby and was wedded to another man.

The news devastated Duane. “This girl thinks I abandoned her,” he shared.

The anticipated reunion

The two went on their ways and had families on their own. But, Duane did not lose hope in finding Peggy so he could explain what really happened. “I prayed that I would be able to do that face on face,” he said.

Now 91 years old, the war veteran turned to Facebook to search for Peggy one last time.

Theresa Wong, a researcher for History Channel, was the key to the much-awaited reunion. Apparently, Theresa saw the article in Daily Press dated 1956 where it featured Peggy with her new last name, Sedenquist.

Peggy married a US Airforce and has been living in Michigan since, just states away from Duane all this time.

They finally got each other’s contact numbers, and the moment Duane had hoped for finally came true. He and Peggy recently met at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris, MI. They hugged, laughed, and shared their memories.

“I’m here to tell you that I didn’t abandon you at all. I just couldn’t find you,” Duane told Peggy.

“Thank you for remembering and [saving] all the pictures; you must have loved me,” Peggy replied.

Purposeful Waiting

Do you feel like that you are in the midst of waiting? Well, welcome to life. This is majority of life. And I feel like that a lot of times we get in our heads that we need to be somewhere, that we are trying to get to this end goal of this dream or this job or family, marriage, and children. So many things that we feel like that we’re just awaiting and the middle of process.

And I just want to encourage you today with scripture in Isaiah, it says “Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings like eagles, and they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.” Now I find that in the middle of waiting, that’s where a lot of incredible things happen. And so I just want to encourage you today. If you’re feeling like you’re waiting on something, lean into what the Lord has for you today, for you will rise up on wings like eagles, you will run and you won’t grow weary.

Waiting can feel really weary sometimes, and it can be really draining, but it’s in those moments that we get to see God move. It’s in those moments, we get to see Him come in and lift us up and we get to see Him give us strength that we don’t even know where it came from. The peace that passes all understanding. I know I’ve had those moments where I’m like, I feel peace right now and it does not make sense. I should be going crazy right now, but He does it. And He does it in the middle of waiting. I feel like that He does a beautiful thing in the middle of our process, and it can be painful and it can be unglamorous, but I promise you, those are the things that the Lord loves to move in.

So I just want to pray for you today. Lord, I just pray that you would meet people where they’re at in their waiting today, waiting on the job, the dream, the children, all of the things that might not even look possible. I just pray that you would come in today and show us who you are. Show us your face in the middle of today. And I just pray that you would show us what you’re doing inside of us in the middle of this waiting, God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
