Two music legends Dolly Parton and Dione Warwick teamed up for their new gospel song duet “Peace Like A River”.

In a recent interview with “Good Morning America,” Dolly and Dionne talked about their new upcoming Gospel song duet titled “Peace Like A River” which is set to be released on February 24. The song, with the title quoted from the Scripture, was written by Dolly Parton in the 1980s. It was when the music icon has been through a difficult season in her life that she sought peace in the “Source,” which is God.
“It was during a time when I was feeling like I need to be lifted up more because you go through things in your life and in your career. I just started thinking I just need to just relax, I just need to feel peace, peace like a river. So, always always go to that Source. When I needed, I just look up,” Dolly said.

Dione Warwick
When the 82-year-old Dione was asked how special the project is for her, she said that the song is so timely. She also emphasized that everybody needs to hear the message of the song.
“Special because it’s a song of inspiration and I’m getting ready to do just that, a CD of inspirational songs leaning towards Gospel. When I got this, I said, ‘Wow! This is so timely.’ It’s a kind of song I think everybody needs to feel,” Dione said.
“Peace Like A River”
When they were both asked for advice for young artists who are trying to make a name in the entertainment industry, they both gave the same answer. Their only advice to the young ones is to be who they really are.
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose. You really need to really be true to yourself, you need to be willing to sacrifice if you have to. But never sacrifice your principles and your values. You can keep on keeping on until something’s bound to happen,” Dolly answered.
“Be who you be. You can’t be anyone other than yourself,” Dione said.
