Mom Prays For Her Criminal Son To Encounter Jesus

A mom who constantly prayed for her son who was a thief, drug addict, and drug pusher thanked Jesus for finally answering her prayer.

Jed grew up having a dad who was “very verbally abusive, and borderline physically abusive.” He never felt loved by him. Then at nine years old, his parents got divorced. At an early age, Jed felt devastated.

“I saw a little boy that was devastated. In tears, crying. And of course, I’m there holding him crying right along with him. I was praying constantly. Like, Lord, help us. Lord, help us. Just screaming out for His guidance,” his mother, Donna recounted.

Son Turns To Drugs

But due to Jed’s rage, he became a rebellious son. He started to lash out on his mom and rebelled against anyone in authority. He hung out with “kids who used drugs and lived by their own rules.”

At 18 years old, Jed lived his life in drug addiction, theft, and drug deals. And the crimes he got involved with got worse as well. And for the next few years, “he bounced between crack houses, jail, and rehab.”

Praying Mom

But despite everything Jed had been doing, his mom never gave up on him. Unbeknown to Jed, she constantly prayed for God to save her son.

Donna recalled, “I was praying constantly. I was wailing, wailing, and crying. And calling out to the Lord to save my child. A child that I would never, ever thought would have gone down this road.”

Every time Jed went to jail, his mom prayed for him.

“And I remember hearing her. I’d be like mom, shut up, you know. Like, you know, ‘Mom, be quiet. I don’t want to hear that. I don’t want to hear that,’” the son said.

But there were also moments when his mom lost hope. Sometimes she would say, “Is this going to be the call where he didn’t make it this time?”

“And I would be planning his funeral. That’s pretty scary as a parent,” she further added. Nonetheless, she kept praying and reaching out to him.

Until one day, Jed called her saying, “I’m done living like this.” Then what happened next changed Jed’s life forever. He met God for the first time!

“Don’t worry about your son or daughter has to do this. Pray and let go of it. Just watch how God unfolds,” Donna said.

4-Year-Boy Shot Dead In Criminal Incident In Arab Town

Amar al-Sheikh Hajirat, a four-year-old boy from the Arab town of Bir al-Maksur in northern Israel, was shot and killed Thursday while playing in the playground, apparently a victim of crime-related violence.

He was severely wounded by bullets in his head and neck and died shortly afterward receiving initial treatment at Rambam Hospital in Haifa.

The police, who believe he was erroneously hit by stray bullets, have launched a search for suspects.

The boy appears to be the first victim of crime-related violence in the Arab sector in 2022. At least 129 Arab-Israelis were killed in criminal violence in 2021. Over 110 Arabs were killed in criminal violence in 2020.

The Arab sector has been suffering from a wave of crime and violence in recent years. The police increased its activity against the plague of shootings and weapons offenses in recent years, and in 2020 arrested 5,713 suspects in shootings and other weapons crimes throughout the country, an increase of 22% compared to 2019.

The vast majority of police activity was carried out in the Arab sector, and about 90% of the suspects arrested for shooting and weapons offenses were Arab Israelis.

Approximately 85% of the indictments filed in Israel in 2020 for shooting, illegal possession of weapons, trafficking, and illegal use of weapons have been filed against suspects from the Arab society.

Grand Jury Charges Netflix Over ‘Child Porn’ Movie ‘Cuties’

A grand jury indicted Netflix over the controversial French film Cuties. The film widely accused of “child pornography” by lawmakers and many viewers.

The American production company saw a higher than a normal spike in subscription cancellations last month. It was following their September 9 release of the movie Cuties. The French film about an 11-year-old Senegalese girl who moved to France and joins a dance group.

The film received a blast of backlash from its viewers. This was due to its highly-sexualized theme. In the film, the pre-teen girls perform sexualized dance routines in revealing clothing. As a result, the hashtag #CancelNetflix became a top trend on social media.

Cuties

On September 18, CBN News reported that 34 Lawmakers signed a letter sent to the US Attorney General William Barr. The letter was to prosecute Netflix for the streaming of child pornography. US Department of Justice was called to take swift legal actions by Senators Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton along with Rep. Jim Banks.

On October 7, the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office released a statement about the indictment of Netflix. The charges stated that the film “depicts the lewd exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the visual material was created, which appeals to the prurient interest in sex, and has no serious, literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.”

Criminal charge

Senator Tom Cotton called the movie disgusting and a serious crime. However, Netflix stands for the film saying that it is a “social commentary against the sexualization of young children. This charge is without merit and we stand by the film.”

Thousands of viewers see it as demoralizing and offensive to women, particularly young women. The grand jury indicts Netflix with a State Jail Felony criminal offense.

Hard-Core Criminal Encounters Jesus While Watching “The Passion Of The Christ”

A hard-core criminal cried and surrendered his life to Jesus after watching The Passion Of The Christ film.

Blake Russell used to be a young professional baseball athlete. But growing up, he didn’t have a relationship with his father. He was a rebellious teen and his mother suffered.

At a young age, he became a heavy cocaine user. He sold marijuana to his football team until he was caught and got kicked out of school. Eventually, he got arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute it. Since then, Blake was in and out of jail.

Gang Member And Drug Addict

In June of 2006, Blake was released from prison. But he got arrested again in September 2008. The law sentenced him to 15 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamines and manufacturing them. But his downward path did not end there.

Inside the prison, Blake became a gang member and an intravenous drug user. He even came to the point that he fought guards and gang members. He settled into this life because he felt he had no value. The poor man thought there was no hope because he had destroyed his own life.

The Passion of Christ

Watching The Passion Of The Christ

Until one day in late October 2012 – a fellow prisoner invited him to a chapel service. Blake unexpectedly enjoyed the service. And for the next two weeks, he read the Bible and went to the chapel again.

“The Holy Spirit was beginning to minister to me and soften my heart through the Word of God,” he recalled.

And one Wednesday morning, during a movie showing in the chapel, Blake’s life changed forever. The chapel played “The Passion of Christ.” And the moment he saw Jesus, he started crying.

Blake recounted that life-changing moment while in tears. He said, “I remember watching this movie and thinking ‘dude, all my life You did that for me and I had no knowledge of it. I didn’t know that. Here I am… I remember making a decision right there, don’t even know what’s happening. I was crying like I am now but it was really more intense.”

He was brought to tears when he hadn’t cried for years. “I remember asking Jesus, ‘If this is You that’s doing this, then please don’t stop. I don’t even know if You’re real but I wanna give my life to You.”

“I don’t know the protocol of a Salvation prayer. I’ve never heard the Salvation prayer… I don’t know none. It was me and Jesus, me and the Holy Spirit right there.”

New Life In Christ

From that day forward, he fully submitted his life to Jesus. He made a deal with Him to serve Him if He’ll change his life.

Today, Blake is out of prison. He’s married and has a ministry house in Columbus. They minister to the homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, and gang members.

Who would have thought a hardcore criminal would turn into a faithful follower of Jesus?

“Jesus is the Restorer of all things that you lost in your life. Or all things that you’ve freely given away. He’s the Restorer of hope. He’s the Restorer of dreams. I was a drug addict, a gang member, the most hardened criminal, and Jesus has the power to change my whole life,” Blake concluded.
