Hollywood Actor Rob Schneider Becomes Vocal About His Faith

Recently, Hollywood actor Rob Schneider shared how Jesus continually ‘grabbed’ him when he went astray. In an interview with CBN News, he expressed that having a foundation that isn’t built on sand is truly something beautiful to possess.

The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, who now appears in the Bentkey animated series “Chip Chilla,” praised Christianity for its foundation of genuine humanity.

“There are other religions out there that say, ‘Well, kill your enemy; hate your enemy,'” Schneider stated. “And we have a religion that says, ‘Love your enemy. Love thy neighbor as thyself … love others.’ What a beautiful way to go through life.”

Comedian Rob Schneider is talking more about his faith these days, praising God and encouraging others to forgive.

“So if I am going to lead my life and be an example, as Christ compels us to do, then I have to do it even if it hurts. Even if it stretches how I used to feel. And that is forgiveness. The beautiful thing about forgiveness is it isn’t the person, it’s you who end up feeling better,” he said.

The actor stated that re-embracing Christianity is a beautiful reminder that his foundation isn’t built on sand. He also mentioned that Jesus prevented him from straying further, which is why he now finds peace in his renewed faith.

“I think Jesus only lets you stray so much,” he said. “And I think at a certain point, He grabbed me again and hugged me.”

He continued, “And then [a] very, very strange confluence of things. I married a Catholic, and she was very patient with me, and she’s been the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me.”

This aspect, along with other events such as a project focused on the Shroud of Turin, began to prompt Rob Schneider to contemplate his faith more deeply. Ultimately, he stated that he could no longer ignore it.

It’s noteworthy that “The Animal” star has returned to faith because he mentioned drifting away from Christianity over time, despite having been so devoted to it as when he was younger that he “would have dreams of Jesus Christ.” The actor admitted, “Like many Christians, I did stray… But there was a continuing pull back, knowing where I needed to be and to be home.”

He also shared that his recent projects are inspired by the acknowledgment of Jesus Christ. Jesus is viewed as the Creator of the universe.

“There is something behind all this thing and that is love. And love is God. That’s the creation of everything. When you take a look at the flowers and sperm zoa, there’s way too much of it that seems to be necessary for those flowers to continue. It seems to be there’s not a necessity for all the stars in the skies, [so] there seems to be a celebration of existence,” he said.

Comedian Hailey Julia is known for her viral Christian content on TikTok. Her videos began to reach millions of views. But unbeknown to all, the Christian comedian had “those come back to God moments” before becoming popular.

Hailey grew up in a Christian home. However, she never really took her Christian faith seriously. During her college years, she just followed the crowd and put aside her faith despite the convictions she felt from the Lord. Not until the pandemic happened. It was 2020 when her University had to close, and she had to stay home when she realized, “I actually want to change my life around. And I want to start living for Jesus.”

Becoming A TikTok Influencer

At that point, Hailey decided to stop being a churchgoer and rededicated her life to Christ. So, she let go of everything and started living for Jesus. And the moment Hailey did that, the former model also desired to spread the love of God to others. So, that’s when she came up with the concept of comedy and Jesus into her video content.

“I just want to live for Jesus,” she told the 700 Club. “And I want to let go of all that ickiness and just embrace Jesus and everything that He’s called me to be.”

Then, Hailey’s first TikTok video immediately shot up to 500,000 views after a few days. Since then, the Christian influencer has never stopped posting on the platform. She started getting attention and rose to fame.

Hailey also shared how she handled the pressure amidst her fame as a Christian content creator. Apparently, she came to a point wherein she associated her identity with the views and likes she got. She started to become insecure and doubted herself. As a result, the influencer tweaked her views a little bit. However, it would not get views. That’s when she realized she had to embrace and be secured her identity in the Lord.

Comedian JP Sears talks about how his perspective on God has changed over the past few years.

JP Sears is a YouTube content creator who was into spiritual things in the past but was not into religion. Though he believe that there is a God, he didn’t believe that He was a powerful God. He also didn’t believe in the power of prayer or that it had the power to change situations.

“I was excluding some amazing traditional Christian values beliefs of God and ways of connecting with God that I now really value,” he recalled.

In a video posted on his YouTube account, he shared with the public how his perspective about God and Christianity have changed. It was actually the evident presence of evil in the past years that changed him.

“Seeing the presence of evil that’s why I’ve just accidentally been getting more Christian. Why so many other people are? Because right now I think the evil that’s in this world is doing a great service of driving a lot of people to find God in ways that they previously hadn’t.”

God’s Freedom

Today, he is now a sharing about God’s freedom through his platform.

“I’m looking at these Christian values and they make way more sense to me now than they previously did. Christian values around faith in God, Christian values around family first. And I now believe that the power of prayer is the most important thing you and I can do. I believe prayer is powerful, I believe prayer brings about change, I believe prayer brings God into a place where God is needed.”

In the past, he was reluctant to seek GOd, but now, he has no shame in calling upon God.

“I’m delighted to say now I have not only no shame about saying God but I actually have joy in saying, God.”

Steve Harvey has been known by many for his successful career as a comedian on national TV shows. He has been named as one of the biggest stars in show business. However, prior to his fame, he lived a difficult life, Steve even spent some years as a homeless man.

In 2019, as he aired the final episode of his popular show, “The Steve Harvey Show,” he gave thanks to God. Steve is crediting God for all he has experienced in life and his success. The show’s “Grand Finale” was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“God has given me a life far beyond anything I ever dreamed about,” Steve said in a speech.

Life and Successful Career

He also quoted Bishop T.D. Jakes’s sermon as he thanked the people who have been a part of his almost 30-year career.

“I would hate to die and never do the thing I was born to do,” he quoted.

“God, let me do it,” he followed.

The 65-year-old comedian then continued to share the importance of being an “imperfect soldier” of God.

“I’m not a perfect Christian, ya dig? But my life has gotten to this point…God has positioned me just this way, to be just like I am, to say what I say how I say it. And I am just a living witness that you can be an imperfect soldier and still be in the army, fighting for God almighty,” he said. “Don’t you think you’ve got to be perfect, ‘cause I ‘ain’t?”

Battle After Scandal Made Public

Over two years ago, John Crist made headlines with his sexual harassment scandal brought to the public. Soon after that, he went to rehab and battled one of the darkest moments of his life. Even to the point where the comedian wanted to commit suicide. But today, he testifies how God walked him out through that season.

During John’s show, he opened up about the challenges he faced in the process of his healing for the past two years. He said, “I’ve been through a lot of embarrassing things.” And he also admitted that “there’s a lot of shame surrounding sex.”

After the scandal, the Christian comedian walked away from the limelight and comedy world. Then for four months, he spent his time recovering inside a rehab. And within those months, he encountered God and experienced God’s redemptive love.

“Every time I had like a sold-out show or anything I did on television … I thought that if everybody knew the truth about me that all of these people would hate me,” John said. “In that whole rehabilitation process, I found out there’s a God that loves you. And He cares about you, and He’s not mad at you.”

He also thanked his followers for their unending love and support.

“The people that are out here that bought tickets to my show saved my life in a lot of ways,” he said.

A Loving Family

Further, John shared a moment when he met a family at Five Guys restaurant that made him feel loved and accepted despite his mistakes.

The comedian went out to eat wearing a hoodie and shades so no one would recognize him. However, a family did and called out to him for a chat.

They told him, “We just want to let you know that we love you and we care about you and we’ve been thinking about you.”

“It was the first time in my life that people knew everything about me, and they still chose to love me,” John recalled.

While it may be true that John did make a mistake in his life, that doesn’t make him unworthy of God’s love. The truth is, God continuously extends His mercy and grace so we could overcome our weaknesses. And that is what John Crist learned from what he did. He experienced God’s unconditional love and support from people that eventually changed his heart. No one is perfect. But God’s grace is sufficient to transform us, one step at a time, for His glory.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” -Lamentations 3:22-23

But later on, the actor had a life-changing encounter with Jesus that drastically changed his ways. And that included becoming a stand-up comedian and being cautious in choosing the films he would star in.

“I never was a raunchy, raunchy comic,” he said. “But I didn’t think about what I was saying because I was young.”

The Challenge As A Christian Actor

Today, Chris always makes sure he keeps his acting clean and wholesome. It’s challenging for him, but the actor said it helps him hone his skill.

“Normally, most comics talk about stuff that’s easy-maybe cussing or saying something raunchy,” Chris explained. “I have to dig deeper to find something that’s still funny and not raunchy. It’s harder. I like the challenge.”

What’s more, the actor also recently turned down a $10M film offer. Because it would compromise the values and beliefs, he is upholding, protecting his relationship with God.

In a tweet from Ice Cube, they revealed how Chris turned down their huge offer.

“We were ready to pay Chris Tucker $10-12M to do Next Friday, but he turned us down for religious reasons,” the tweet reads. “He didn’t want to cuss or smoke weed on camera anymore.”

The comedian chose to honor God instead of what he would gain from the film.

“One of the reasons why I didn’t do the second one [was] because of the weed,” Chris said. “Because I said, ‘Man, that movie became a phenomenon. … I don’t want everybody smoking weed.’…It probably was good for me [to turn it down] because it kept me moving. You know, to the next phase and next movies. But that was one of the reasons. I said I didn’t want to … get everybody smoking weed.”

Promising Career As Comedian But Messy Personal Life

Atheist Jeff Allen had a promising career as a comedian. However, in the middle of all the success he was a mess in his personal life. He struggled with anger issues and was addicted to cocaine and alcohol early on in his marriage.

“Not a nice man. I was angry, bitter, jaded, cynical, foul-mouth human being,” Jeff recalled.

Then the comedian shared one particular painful memory with his wife 30 years ago. The couple was “arguing about a cheese he just threw, and he yelled at his wife.” He remembers his wife kneeling and sobbing in front of him out of desperation. Later that day, his son said to him, “Dad, you win. You yell, mommy cries. You win.”

Those words from his son became a wake up call to Jeff that he had a temper problem. Thus, he began to seek ways to become a better person. He dabbled in New Age, Buddhism, meditation, and other religions but none of it changed anything or was helping his marriage.

Wife Having An Affair

Until one day, Jeff discovered that his wife was having an affair.

“I wrestled with God that night. I paced my room like a caged cat. Waiting for her to get home,” he recounted.

He was very mad at his wife, however, every time Jeff thought he was better than his wife, he was reminded of the bad things he did to her.

Despite finding out about his wife’s affair, Jeff still wanted to work on their marriage.

“Baby, we’re a mess. We have two kids at home who need parents. This is what you want; then you can have him…But if this is not what you want, we need to do a lot of work to get through this together,” the husband said.

“I’ll take 50% of the blame for this mess,” Jeff humbly admitted. What happened next became the “most painful, gut-wrenching moments of his life.”

First Time Hearing The Gospel

“I was listening to the tapes, and I was moved, something was moved in me,” Jeff narrated. “When I heard Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning, God created” …I fell on my face… I knew in my heart and my soul there was a God.”

Soon after, a friend shared the Gospel and the story of “The Prodigal Son.” That’s when everything totally shifted in his life after giving his life to Christ. God saved his marriage and his entire family came to know Jesus as well.

He now shares, “Pray. Whether you believe it or not…and seek. Jesus said, knock, I’ll answer…Swallow your pride, get on your knees. Say, I can’t do it anymore.”

Kevin Hart Honors God At The People’s Choice Awards

Most Christians in Hollywood are notably bold in their faith in Jesus in the public. And today, another famous Hollywood star gave honor to God at The People’s Choice Awards – the actor and comedian Kevin Hart.

Kevin Hart had an accident this past September, along with two other people. Kevin came away alive but his back injuries were severe. Because of this, he spent several days in the hospital. And he hasn’t appeared in the spotlight since then.

The near-fatal car accident almost took Kevin’s life. He went through surgery and post-operative treatment, according to The Christian Post.

Just last month, Kevin posted an Instagram video highlighting the obstacles he has faced since the accident. He took the opportunity to thank all the people who stood by him during his recovery.

“My appreciation for life is through the roof. I’m thankful for my family, my friends,” he said. “I’m thankful for the people that simply ride with me, have been with me, ’cause you stood by me. My fans — I’m thankful for all your love and support. So don’t take today for granted, ’cause tomorrow’s not promised.”

Kevin also pointed out that the accident woke him up to the reality of life. To him, surviving in that accident meant a new beginning.

“You know when God talks, you got to listen. I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down,” he explained.

Then he added, “I’m thankful for simply still being here. The role to be an even bigger and better version of me. Looking forward to an amazing 2020.”

Over the weekend, Kevin received the Best Comedy Act award at the People’s Choice Awards for the second year in a row. This was his first major appearance after the car accident. The crowd even gave him a standing ovation.

Kevin professed on stage, “First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don’t have to be here. Being that I am, makes me appreciate life even more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. I want to thank my wife and kids who really stepped up to the plate for me.”

John Crist Releases Public Apology In Response To Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Popular Christian comedian John Crist released a public apology in response to the alleged sexual misconduct allegations. John also stated that he is canceling his remaining tours for this year to focus on healing.

Taylor Berglund of Charisma News reported the allegations of John’s sexual misconduct.

Statement of apology

Charisma News released John statement and apology to the public. The Christian comedian is claiming the allegations are false. However, he admitted to mistreating women.

“While I am not guilty of everything I’ve been accused of, I confess to being guilty of this—I have treated relationships with women far too casually, in some cases even recklessly,” John wrote in an email.

In his statement, John Christ is asking forgiveness for his misconduct.

“My behavior has been destructive and sinful. I’ve sinned against God, against women and the people who I love the most. I have violated my own Christian beliefs, convictions and values, and have hurt many people in the process. I am sorry for the hurt and pain I have caused these women and will continue to seek their forgiveness, I have also hurt the name of Jesus and have sought His forgiveness,” he added.

“I’m committed to getting healing and freedom from my sin”

John has admitted his faults and takes full responsibility for his actions. Consequently, he has been humbly apologetic. John also canceled all his remaining shows for 2019 to commit to getting the healing he needs.

“Over several recent years, I have privately sought and received regular professional treatment for my sexual sin and addiction struggles. I’m committed to getting healing and freedom from my sin and have decided to cancel my remaining tour dates this year and to postpone all future commitments in order to devote all my time and energy on getting healthy spiritually, mentally and physically,” he stated.

Finding Hope

This not the type of news we want to hear, but let’s focus on the light by believing that God can heal and bringing freedom to this type of addiction. The same God who redeemed the us from darkness is the God who can redeem John.

Comedian John Crist is at it again! You may know him from the Church Hunters video series, or Celebrity Pastor Fantasy Draft, or Virtual Reality Church. And, when I wrote about Virtual Reality Church, some people thought the satire was true! So I think Crist got the last laugh on that one.

He is a viral video sensation who has been doing stand-up comedy for the last nine years. Sharing the stage with Tim Hawkins, Jeff Foxworthy, Dave Chapelle, Dana Carvey and Trevor Noah among others.

His website says he has been named one of the, “Top Five Comics to Watch.” And he has recently offered his opinion on current church events such as John Gray and Lauren Daigle.

This newly-released video is about Biblical characters having iPhones! It starts off with him looking at a cell phone saying, “Bro, I just a Venmo request from Judas.” Then it goes to, “Dude, Jesus just got a blue checkmark? How did He get verified, He only has 12 followers?” Then his friend says, “I have way more than that!”

John Crist Loves the Local Church

Even though he may seem to be poking fun at the Church, its all in good jest. He grew up as a homeschooled pastor’s kid. And he says, “Man, I love the local church. Growing up serving at my dad’s church, I know the effect that a healthy, vibrant local church can have on the community. If I ever come across as critical, it’s because I love the church and I wish for so much more from it. I think the local church is our only hope for change in America; that said…we do some weird stuff.”
