Church media team
Fritz Lumanta is a pastor at a local church in the Southern part of the Philippines. In his latest Facebook post, he shared what the Holy Spirit taught him after he witnessed his church’s media team focus on worship and not on their responsibilities.
After preaching a message, he felt the power of the Holy Spirit moving. He went up to the tech booth and saw the entire media team bowing down to worship Jesus. When he was about to notify them to focus on the livestream, the Holy Spirit spoke to pastor Fritz’s heart.
“While I was about to tell them to go back and focus on their ministry, the Holy Spirit strongly prompted me, ‘Are you going to stop them from worshipping me? Are you really more concerned about your live streaming than me? Is My presence still a priority or just a convenience?'”
Significant lesson
At that moment, he learned a significant lesson from the Holy Spirit.
“Right there at that moment, I was rebuked by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes as a leader and a Pastor, we can be easily caught up by how a Church should function based on the world’s influence: programs, social trends, Church styles, and strategies. Sometimes programs become our priority rather than our presence, sometimes ministry can become our priority rather than the MOVE. ”
No matter how our services go, the Holy Spirit should still be our priority. We are promised that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all things will be added (Matthew 6:33)!
