Pastor Bobby Chandler explained why God gave His people the opportunity to make choices.

The founder and lead pastor of Authentic Church illustrated Christians’ daily struggles. He explained the reason why God allowed them to make choices. He began by discussing the two forces that often contend with each other – yielding to the desires of the flesh and carrying out God’s will. Pastor Bobby highlighted that the attractions of the world demanded people’s attention while God desired their hearts and minds to be focused on Him.
As human beings, individuals tend to encounter this reality every single day.
“Until we’re actually in the presence of God for all eternity in his kingdom, then it won’t be like that. But for now, there was a fight every single day,” he mentioned.
In his experience as a pastor, people often wonder why God would allow them to go through the battle against their flesh.

True Love Is A Choice
Furthermore, he emphasized that God gave His people a choice simply because of His love.
“He gives us the choice because true love is a choice. It has to be a choice to know His grace. In fact, sometimes you have to fall just to know how much He loves you and how He will pick you back up,” he highlighted.
Moreover, he reminded those who were struggling against their flesh about Romans 7:18-25. Paul discussed the challenges of battling against the desires of the flesh. But verse 25 ended with an encouraging message that says, “Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind, I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature, I am a slave to sin.” He said that the one thing people could do was to redirect their focus away from sin and back to God.
