In Review
Jesus Revolution debuted Friday February 24th in the wake of the outpouring that began at Asbury and has spread throughout the US and many places across the globe.
Rotten Tomatoes reported the following reviews,
“Jesus Revolution artfully depicts the beginning of a movement that continues to thrive today. I see so much ugliness, hate, and violence on screen. It was a pleasure to leave the theater with a smile.” – Julian Roman
“There’s a good chance it’ll speak to those whose faith needs recharged or to those who simply need a reminder that people from different camps can come together in meaningful ways. Now there’s a message that we certainly need today.” – Keith Garlington
“Jesus Revolution is an informative and entertaining look at how a most unlikely collaboration changed the face of Christianity in America, at least for a time.” – Mike McGranaghan
The critics weighed in too,
“It’s easy to be dismissive of the moviemaking, in what often feels like a church production of Hair. Other times it felt like watching an infomercial hawking something that already has billions of people buying what they’re selling.” – Amil Niazi
“A gently told story preaching to the converts, assuming that evangelical Christianity is unassailably the answer without considering this particular form of worship may not be the answer for all.” – Nell Minow
“Nothing in this evangelical film about a short-lived religious movement taking root in late Sixties Southern California… is open to chance, much less to any interpretation other than an unequivocal One.” – Steve Davis

Revival Is In the Air
Jesus is doing something in the earth. From college students worshipping for hours on end and the big screen showing testimonies of what God has done before, it seems revival is in the air.
2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV – “If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Let us continue to “seek His face”, turn from our “wicked ways”, and cry out for God to heal our land…wherever you are in the world. We are in need of what only Jesus can do in our lives!
