First, who are you? Please introduce yourself.
First off, I want to thank you for sitting down to chat! It is certainly a privilege. I am Matthew Bell, the Founder and CEO of Honest Labs. I like to think of myself as a tech industry innovator, entrepreneur, and pioneer, in a non-boastful way of course. I have a passion for helping companies grow through innovative technology solutions. I am constantly thinking, dreaming, and drumming up ideas for solutions to problems, that I feel technology can solve. I love what I do, and happy to be able to share my passion with your readers.
Why do you love the technology space?
I have a deep passion and love for the technology industry because it has the potential to change people’s lives, is continually developing, encourages teamwork, and enables us to have a positive social influence. It provides limitless opportunities, feeds my love for invention, and motivates me to create a better future.
My curiosity is unceasingly stoked by technology and I am connected to brilliant minds through it. It also empowers people and enterprises to solve complex problems through elegant solutions. Its moral obligation and inclusive potential motivate me to change the world for the better and push the envelope of what is conceivable for humanity.
What do you love about being an entrepreneur?
I love being an entrepreneur because it gives me the freedom to realize my ideas and do what I want to do, not what someone tells me to do. I truly believe it is my life’s calling. I am constantly learning new things, which challenges me to advance and take on new challenges. I can have a significant influence through the things I build, network with other entrepreneurs, and stay on the front lines of innovation by building things. For me, what makes entrepreneurship truly gratifying is the opportunity to unleash creativity, create a positive impact on society, and leave a lasting legacy.
Additionally, becoming an entrepreneur feeds my love for breaking barriers and disrupting the status quo. It is a vibrant and continuously changing life that keeps me on my toes and constantly looking for fresh opportunities and solutions to problems. My determination and entrepreneurial spirit are fueled by the joy of navigating through uncertainty, assembling amazing teams, and overcoming challenges. Entrepreneurship is a path that involves more than just achievement; it also involves self-improvement, resiliency, and realizing one’s aspirations. I feel I learn more about myself and grow as a person in my entrepreneurial journey, than I ever have before. It is truly a blessing.
How does your faith in God contribute to your life as an entrepreneur?
In my life as an entrepreneur, my faith in God has a big impact on every facet of my journey. First of all, it gives me daily direction and provides a firmly held conviction that my job is a part of something much bigger. This viewpoint gives me a deep sense of purpose and inspires me to work for goals that are consistent with my beliefs and have a beneficial influence on other people.
In addition, my faith acts as a compass for making decisions. It serves as a reminder to put honesty, ethics, and integrity first in all business relationships. In addition to creating solid relationships with clients and partners, trust and transparency are important principles that support a positive culture inside our company.
My faith gives me comfort, resiliency, and strength in trying times and when I need to overcome obstacles. It serves as a reminder that I am not the only one who experiences setbacks and disappointments, and that they are opportunities for growth. I can let go of control and ask for help through prayer, when I need it. This enables me to come up with new ideas and feel that transcendent peace of God in the face of uncertainty.
In addition, my faith inspires me to see success not just in terms of worldly accomplishments but also in terms of the influence I have on other people’s lives. It encourages the desire to help others and make a difference, whether it is done via philanthropy, mentoring, or developing products that improve the well-being of people and communities.
Last but not least, my faith encourages a spirit of humility and thankfulness. Knowing that my opportunities and skills originate from my relationship with Christ keeps me grounded, thankful for my blessings, and compassionate toward others, even when that is challenging. This viewpoint encourages a spirit of gratitude, cooperation, and compassion inside my entrepreneurial pursuits.
I would say that my life as an entrepreneur is greatly influenced by my faith in God, more so than anything else. It gives me a sense of direction, drives my decision-making, supports me during trying times, points me in the direction of serving others, and fosters humility and thankfulness in me. I work to build businesses that have a beneficial impact on people, society, and the entire world by incorporating my faith into my entrepreneurial endeavors.
What is your one piece of advice you would give to an entrepreneur starting out today?
First, rely on God daily. Start your day in the word and prayer, before doing anything else. As a new entrepreneur, you should embrace resilience and persistence, and grit. You should prioritize self-care, surround yourself with supportive people, stay connected to your purpose, and view setbacks as opportunities for progress. You may successfully traverse the difficulties of entrepreneurship by keeping a growth attitude, looking for help, being motivated, and taking care of yourself, and nurturing your relationship with God.
Prior to joining us, he was a senior executive with the Simpson Group of companies, managing an international automobile distribution corporation. As executive director of the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry (BRSM) he was part of the leadership team in Pensacola, Florida during the world famous Brownsville Revival. Ward is a product of revival and has a passion to see revival fires spread across the globe. He is Married to Lydia and they have three children: Rafael, Netanya and Nathan.
