Christian influencer Nelly Martin shared a beautiful testimony that would inspire those who were looking for a job. At the beginning of this year, she had already applied to multiple jobs without any success. Then, she recalled the biggest test she experienced while praying for it. She was offered a high-paying job with a big bonus, but she needed to sacrifice her time for her family, their church, and a passion project that God asked her to do.

She sought God’s guidance about the offer, and He prompted her not to accept it. “In faith, I declined the job, and I kept applying,” she shared. While she tried to connect to different organizations, she received a series of rejections from job positions that she was qualified for. But despite all these, she still chose to trust in God.

God Led Her To The Right Job

Furthermore, she mentioned a verse that greatly affected her. It is written in Matthew 7:7,  “Ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Moving forward, she found a great place where she could work, however, she had issues with the salary offered.

Moreover, she discovered it was a sister company of the first job she applied to that offered her a great opportunity and bonus. And because she was already listed on their file, they decided to give her the same offer that they had initially offered in the other place. Her recruiter was even shocked because her job offer had fewer obligations and was less specialized.

Lastly, she testified, “This is the kind of God that we serve. He is working behind the scenes, making all things work together for our good. So don’t give up. Keep praying, keep applying, keep moving forward.  Keep having faith in God because He is going to show up for you.”

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8, NIV).

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2, NIV).

“Here are six things you can start implementing today to become who God created you to be as a Christian,” she said.

1. Prayer Life

“When in doubt, pray. Jesus modeled a life that was centered on prayer. If you’re worrying about it, that’s a sign you need to pray about it.”

2. Peace

“Jesus had peace even in the midst of storms and struggles.”

3. Forgiveness

“Jesus forgave us so we could have freedom. He commands us to forgive others so that we can be forgiven (Matthew 1:14-15)”

4. Love Others

“Jesus always chose to love people, even the difficult ones to love. He treated everyone with the unconditional love of the Father.”

5. Humility

“Jesus humbled Himself. He didn’t come to be served but to serve others.”

6. Obedience

“Even when it was difficult, Jesus chose to obey God’s will. He was obedient to die on the cross for our sins so we could be forgiven. Because of His obedience, we are welcomed into the family of God.”

How To Live Like Jesus Verses

Time and again in the Bible, the prophets and the apostles always encouraged believers to live like Christ. But more often than not, many forget about it especially when the demands of life are blaring right in front of us.

But here are a few verses to remind you that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and Life itself.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

1. She wakes up early.

She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. Proverbs 31:15 (NLT)

The woman described in this passage is a woman who knows her priorities and responsibilities. In Ashley Hetherington’s “She doesn’t sleep on her responsibilities.”

2. She is a hard worker.

She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. Proverbs 31:13 (NLT)

She is energetic and strong and a hard worker. Proverbs 31:17 (NLT)

Ashley said that this woman uses “the resources that God gave her, and she is stewarding them. Whether it is to be in an office somewhere or a stay-at-home mom, get your homework done on time. Whatever it is, don’t eat the bread of idleness.”

3. She serves.

She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. Proverbs 31:20 (NLT)

This woman is concerned not with just her own needs but with the needs of others.

4. She dresses well.

She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. Proverbs 31:22 (NLT)

This woman puts on the qualities of God. “She’s not just relying on her actual physical clothes; she’s also putting in the qualities of God. And she’s putting on God’s strength. She’s putting on God’s dignity.”

“In so much of our culture, we put on clothes to tell us who we are, but we need to put on the mind of Christ. We need to put on strength. And we need to put on dignity as godly women. Let’s also respect ourselves for what we wear. We are strong, we are dignified, and we’re going to dress like it,” Ashley said.

5. She fears the Lord.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last, but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Proverbs 31:30 (NLT)

Ashley concluded with a strong statement: “So much in our society, we rely on charm and beauty; we rely on all of these things to be respected, admired, and loved. You know why her husband praises her? Her children rise up and call her blessed. It doesn’t have to do with anything else other than the fact that this homegirl fears the Lord. And what does that mean when she fears the Lord? She puts Him first and prioritizes the Father. She is focused on Jesus. If you want to become a woman of God, then you are going to become a woman who fears the Lord.”

1. Don’t feel guilty about rest.

“When the kids are napping in the afternoon, don’t feel bad about leaving the laundry or dishes to lie down or do something you enjoy. Even as they get older, a daily rest time will serve all of you well. And on the days it’s just impossible to take a break, remember that God is with you, he is for you, and he will be your strength when you’re feeling weak (see Isaiah 41:10).”

2. Say yes to help.

“When a trusted older woman at church says, “I’d love to watch the kids so you can run errands one afternoon,” pull out your phone and put it on the schedule. It’s humbling to allow others to care for you, but so life-giving. We can’t do motherhood alone.

3. Limit sugar and screens.

“(This advice is more for you than the kids.) Keeping your blood sugar balanced will help your mood stay balanced, too. And putting down your phone in exchange for a book or a walk in the sun? Priceless.”

4. Follow-through matters.

“Let your “yes” be “yes” and your “no” be “no.” It may feel easier to just keep giving warnings and never follow through with discipline, but kids need boundaries. It’s worth it to say, “Yes, I’ll read a book to you,” and actually do it. Or, “No, sweetheart, I’ll have to take that away if you do that again,” and follow through. You’ll be so thankful years from now that your children know your words carry weight.”

5. These days are sweet, but so are the next.

“Well-meaning, older parents will tell you these days with tiny children fly by, and there’s nothing like them. And while this season is full of precious moments, believing that they’re the very best days you’ll ever have with your kids adds a lot of unnecessary pressure. Here’s what I now know: your love for and enjoyment of your kids only grows. So enjoy this day, but recognize that future days and years are really sweet, too.”

The Mission

But everything is not all fun and games for Joe. In a recent interview, he said that he constantly tries to keep up with the trends and thinks about how he can relate it to God.

“What’s the newest trend and how can I relate this to the Lord? Every time someone’s on social media, they want to be entertained. For me I felt like my mission was to spread the gospel in a fun way and plant those seeds to anyone who watches my videos. And then to prompt them into reading the Word and open time with the Lord,” he said.

Christian Influencer Ashley Hetherington Shares 5 Habits She Had To Quit To Become Closer To God

Ashley opened up about the things that hindered her from becoming who God created her to be.

Here is her list of five things:

1. Overthinking (Philippians 4:6-7)

Ashley said that she realized she was getting into the habit of worrying more than praying. That’s why she had to replace the habit of worrying and anxiety with prayer.

“So instead of overthinking about everything and worrying about everything, I would then pray about everything. Slowly but surely, I started to experience the peace that surpasses all understanding that God talks about in His word.”

2. Speaking negatively (Proverbs 18:21)

Ashley quoted a verse in the book of James: “life and death are in the power of the tongue.”

She realized that she was being so critical of herself and was even saying unkind words out loud.

“And I didn’t realize that every time I was speaking these negative words over myself, that was giving life to those beliefs and those words. I had to instead start declaring and speaking God’s word over myself so that I could see myself as a child of God,” she said.

3. Dressing immodestly (1 Timothy 2:9)

Ashely admitted that she used to wear things to draw attention to herself from all the wrong places.

“That attention felt good in the short term, but in the long term, it did not gain respect. So I really started to have fun just dressing elegant, chic, aesthetic, modest, and not dressing to get the wrong attention.”

4. People pleasing (Galatians 1:10)

“I used to make every decision based on what other people would think about that decision. And what other people would think of me,” Ashley recalled.

But now, she makes decisions with these questions in mind:

“Is this going to serve the Lord?”
“Is this going to make God happy?”
Am I going to please the Lord with this decision?”

Becoming Who God Created You To Be

Lastly, Ashley emphasizes the importance of godly relationships.

5. Friends and relationships that did not help me grow closer to the Lord (2 Corinthians 6:14)

“There were a lot of friends that were getting me into the drinking and partying scene because that was the life that I lived before coming to know Jesus. There were also guys who did not really care about my purity and me growing closer to the Lord. So I had to just take a good, hard look at my life and who I was spending time with, and I had to let those people go.

“I could not grow closer to the Lord and also hang out with these people. Even if it was for a short amount of time, I had to create that distance so that I could start better habits with the Lord and really get to know a new lifestyle with Him. And now I seriously have the most amazing friends in the entire world who help me grow closer to Jesus and become the best version of myself in Christ. And that season of isolation was necessary for God to lead me to the right people for my life,” she concluded.

Since then, she has been using her social media to share Jesus.

“This weekend, I felt the Lord nudge me to get baptized again. The Lord has delivered me from three eating disorders, depression, suicidal thoughts and an attempt, panic attacks, the shame of divorce, tormenting spirits, abuse, pornography, sexual sin, promiscuity, abusing pills, drinking and partying, codependency, debilitating anxiety, conceit, and the list could go on.”

Baptized the second time

Last weekend, Brittany heard the Lord calling her to get baptized the second time after she had been delivered from many things she had been struggling with. Her three friends prayed over her and baptized her while many witnessed.

“These women have watched the Lord do a complete transformation in my life over the years. And this weekend, I watched my friends intercede, contend, and believe in supernatural miracles with me. In a pool filled with hundreds of people watching and questioning what we were doing, it felt like it was just us and Jesus.”

No matter how how hopeless your life may seem, Jesus is with you. In Him, there is freedom, peace, and hope!

“You’re never too far gone to turn and run back into the arms of the One who created you.”

Zachary Moore testified how he received a miracle when he met with an accident 15 years ago. Now, he lives to tell God’s story.

When he was younger, Zach was hit by a Jeep, which almost cost him his life. But because of God’s intervention, he survived and has been sharing his testimony of God’s love ever since.

With thousands of followers, Zach shares to inspire others. He also shares the testimony of what God did to save him.

He vividly described what happened to him. “Fifteen years ago, on this very day, a young boy’s life was forever changed. The miraculous hand of God intervened when he was hit by a Jeep, an event that almost cost him his life. But what happened next was beyond human comprehension,” he wrote in a caption.

While he was lying on the hospital bed, something very strange happened to him.

He retold what happened that day. “As he lay there, blacking out, the boy experienced the extraordinary peace of God, the presence of Jesus, and his angels praying around him. Later, when he woke up in the hospital, he asked his mother about the people in white who were praying for him, only to be told that no one was there. It was a confusing experience for the boy, one that would take years for him to truly understand.”

That traumatic event marked Zach’s life, and it was also the start of a dramatic turn of events. He said that he was “radically changed by Jesus and began to share his story.”

After 15 Years

His story has since impacted millions of people, and many of them have accepted Christ as their Savior as a result.

Along with the journey of being used by God for His kingdom, Zach had a life-changing realization:

“Looking back on his journey, the boy—now a man—realizes that God knew all along what he had in store for him. He knew that the boy would fall in love with sharing the gospel and that he would be in full-time ministry. He knew that he would bless him with a platform to reach millions of lives.

“And even though the trauma of that fateful day was a heavy burden to bear, the man recognizes that if his story can lead just one person to salvation, it was all worth it. He is grateful to be alive, to be walking and breathing, all for the glory of God.

“Truly, what a beautiful God we serve. Thank you, Jesus,” he concluded.

“After a 6.5-year-long relationship and 9 years working in a strip club, I decided to give it all up and surrender my life to Jesus. I moved to a new place and started to rebuild my identity in Christ, but I didn’t realize how difficult it would be. I cried and battled every single day as my old identity and everything I had known myself to be were completely torn away and demolished. I struggled to let go of who I had been. Who I had believed I was for so many years,” she said.

But she believed that the Lord had given her a spirit of discipline, so she kept fighting.

However, it wasn’t easy.

The Power Of Prayer

With nothing and no one to hold on to, she clung to God and prayed.

“I prayed day after day for strength. For breakthroughs. For a miracle. I clung to the Lord so tightly. I had always been in control of my life and circumstance, and the Lord was asking me to surrender it all and trust Him with my future. To trust Him to be my Provider and Source of hope.

“There were countless times I felt alone, doubtful, anxious, discouraged, and like I had messed up too much for my life to be restored. I wanted to give up. But I continued to praise Him through it all. Jesus tells us that all we need is faith the size of a mustard seed. So, I clung on to the tiniest ounce of faith I had left,” she said.

Formerly Worked At A Strip Club, Now A Daughter Of God

She also felt a sense of unworthiness, but God never gave up on her.

“I felt so unworthy and not at all good enough, but He constantly reminded me of the truth of my identity as His daughter. He kept pursuing me and fighting for me. The Lord has been renewing my strength daily. He has never left me. No matter how many times I’ve doubted Him, He has never given up on me. And although it’s been difficult, He has given me a peace that surpasses all understanding. I wouldn’t trade my relationship with Him for the world,” she concluded.
