I wanna tell you a story today about something that happened to me literally three or four days ago. I was sitting in my living room. My husband and I had been going through a lot of discouragement. Just, it was not shaking off of us, it was not coming off of our lives. And we dealt with it for a couple of days. We kept praying. We kept asking the Lord for His courage, for His faithfulness, for His faith to show up in our lives.
We were trying to shake this thing and break it off. And it wasn’t until I put out a call to my family and I asked my mom and my dad, and my sister and my brother to come over and pray with us. And we began to pray, and they began to prophesy over us and tell us the destiny that God had for us. They began to remind us of our identity. And when I tell you that that thing that had been lingering for days and days broke off in just a couple of minutes of prayer, and we spent probably about 30 minutes praying together. And when they left the house, everything felt lighter, everything felt brighter, everything felt like this is gonna be okay. We are gonna be okay.
And I wanna just encourage you, if you don’t have community, that it is vital for your walk with the Lord. Because I’m gonna tell you this, God doesn’t do it alone. He has Himself, He has Jesus, and He has the Holy Spirit. You should not be walking this walk and this life alone. You need strong, deep community with deep roots and rich fruit, because you can’t always feed from the things that God shows you. So sometimes you need to feed off of the revelation that other people are releasing over you.
So if you don’t have community right now, build one. If you don’t have people around you who are walking in the Lord, we have plenty of communities here at GOD TV and we would love to have you part of them, on Facebook, we have them on God Today. I wanna encourage you, find a community, find some place, find people that will partner with you for breakthrough, for revelation, for prayer, for the things that you need. Because you should not be walking through this alone. You are not alone. You are not designed to be alone. We were always designed for community.
Jesus, I just thank you right now that any of us that are struggling with community today, that we would feel the instant connection of the Holy Spirit and that we would find a community and we would get plugged in, and that you would draw our roots deep. God, I thank you that we’re breaking off the power of offense right now in the name of Jesus. And we say, thank you, Holy Spirit, that we will not live from a place of offense, but that we will live from a place of grace and of understanding and deep, meaningful, powerful, spiritual connection with other people. We thank you that you’ve designed us to be in communion, not only with you, but with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Amen.
