Christian Broadcasting Network founder and Christian evangelist Pat Robertson died at the age of 93.

At around 8:00 PM today, June 8, CBN News announced to the public the heartbreaking news of Pat Robertson’s passing. He died earlier today at his home in Virginia.
“With great sadness, we announce that Dr. M.G. ‘Pat’ Robertson has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior today, June 8, 2023. Thank you for your prayers for the Robertson family and the ministry of CBN at this time,” the network said in its statement.

Pat is a well-known Christian evangelist who founded the Christian Broadcasting Network in 1960. His birth name was Marion Gordon Robertson, and his nickname “Pat” has been given by his older brother, Willis Robertson Jr. In 1988, he ran for the presidency of the United States.
For 60 years, he has been the host of “The 700 Club” before retiring at the age of 91 in 2021. He handed the show to his son Gordon. Pat was also a military veteran who served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He also founded several other organizations including Regent University, Operation Blessing, International Family Entertainment Inc., and many others.
“Pat Robertson dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel, helping those in need, and educating the next generation,” CBN wrote to remember his legacy.
Legacy
He was married to his wife Dede for 67 years until she died in 2022. Their loving marriage bore four children, 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Pat Robertson’s legacy will never be forgotten by the people whom he has inspired with his passion for the Lord.
“Pat had a hunger for knowledge of the Lord, and he wanted to share the love and faithfulness of Jesus with the world. His heart’s desire was that all people come to know Jesus.”
