Christian Sportswear Brand’s Commercial Glorifies Jesus On National TV: ‘Powered By Jesus’

The Christian sportswear brand Undrdog Athletix aired their commercial on national television without hesitation, proudly uplifting the name of Jesus.

Christian athletes are increasingly leveraging their sports and influence to spread the name of Jesus. They are now going a step further by showcasing their faith through their attire. Undrdog stands for Underestimated Never Defeated Remain Dependent On God. Their brand aims to offer Christian athletes a space and a platform to openly express their faith.

“For Christian Athletes, the world will tell us to keep our faith and sport separate,” they wrote in their official website. “Pro-athletes can be in danger of losing endorsement deals or sponsorships just for proclaiming the name of Jesus.”

“We wanted to create a brand that would ENCOURAGE athletes to find their voice in how they can represent their faith. Undrdog Athletix is a community dedicated to helping Christian Athletes bring the good news of the gospel to people and audiences across the world.”

Their merchandise ranges from hoodies to sports accessories, bands, and more. Their shirts are printed with statements: “Powered By Jesus” and “Audience of One.”

They aired their first brand commercial on national television on January 13. They seized the opportunity to fulfill their purpose by boldly uplifting the name of Jesus.

“Don’t be fooled by the gifts,” their brand model and athlete shared. “The handles, the athleticism, the range. People see the skill and think this is all me. That it’s my hard work or my dedication that made me the player I am today.”

“See, the truth is all the hours I spend working on my game are fueled by the hours I’ve spent worshipping His Name. And my fire is found in my purpose.”

They concluded the film with the proclamation of their True Source.

“This is Undrdog Athletix, and we are powered by Jesus.”

Football Player Cam Bynum Gives Glory To God For Long-Awaited Reunion With Wife

Football player Cam Bynum has always been vocal about his faith and love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In whatever he does, he gives glory to God, just like his long-awaited reunion with his wife, Lalaine.

The Minnesota Vikings safety had been away from his wife, who is a Filipino native, since their marriage. Laine had been struggling with her visa approval, so she could not travel to the US, where Cam is.

The couple prayed that they would be together again. So, Cam asked God that He would give him a “great game” so he would be given a chance to appear in an interview with the national television. Why so? Because he wanted to ask for help for his wife.

And so, God answered their prayers.

In their battle against the Kansas City Chiefs, Cam won the game. He sent out an ask for his wife’s visa as he got interviewed. And his request did not fall on deaf ears. He received help from the officials.

Weeks later, Laine’s visa was approved, and the Bynums were finally together.

In their game against the Falcons, the NFL rising star appeared on camera once again, but this time, he had Laine with him. “We made it out here. It’s a movie,” he said. “Thanks to y’all. Wife is here. All glory to God!”

According to Cam, their love story was a move from God. When he first saw her, he knew right there and then he would be facing the altar with her.

Moreover, Laine’s pursuit of Jesus and her relationship with God sealed the deal for Cam.

And together with their family, they are now reaching out to underserved communities in the Philippines and US. The Bynum Faith Foundation has its values set from Philippians 2:3-4. “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interest of others.”

Joni Eareckson Tada Testifies How God Turned Her Story Around After Being Paralyzed

A quadriplegic painter, musician, writer, disability activist, and writer, Joni Eareckson Tada, testified how God has turned the impossible into possible.

Joni opened up in this video to share her life testimony, from childhood to her diving accident to her faith in Jesus and His purposes.

She grew up in a very athletic family, and she also grew up listening to the stories of the heroes of faith.

“My earliest memory of hearing about the God of the Bible, though, was around the campfire on the beach of the Delaware shore with my sisters, mom, and dad. Hearing stories of Noah, David, Moses, and Daniel. But God really… He really wasn’t very personal,” she said.

But all that changed when she turned 14 years old.

“We went away on a kind of a church weekend retreat. I was challenged by the speaker. He said, “Kids, I want to measure your lives up against the Ten Commandments,”” she recalled.

After that camp, she reassessed herself. “Well, I had never committed adultery, or I don’t think I stole anything in a big way. But you know what? It didn’t matter because I measured my life up against those commandments one by one. I got this overwhelming sense that I’m missing the mark. I’m not going to make it.”

But after all the questions in her heart, God helped her understand what the Gospel really meant.

“It troubled me at first that God gave us a bunch of commandments that He knew very well we couldn’t keep. But then, it hit me. At that weekend retreat, it hit me. That’s why Jesus came. He was the One who kept the commandments. He was the One who obeyed the law even though I didn’t know I could,” she said.

Accepting Jesus

Furthermore, she acknowledged her need for Jesus: “I was only 14 but I was able to reach out right then and embrace Jesus and say, “I need You. I want to make it out of earth alive. And You’re my only passport, so please.”

But a major accident made her question God again. Weeks before going to college, her sister invited her to go to the beach.

And something terrible happened.

“I swam out to this raft; the athlete that I was, I didn’t even touch bottom. Hoisted myself onto it, then took this really stupid dive into what ended up being extremely shallow water. I snapped my head back when I hit rock bottom. And it crunched my fourth cervical vertebra, severed my spinal cord. There I was lying first down in the water, desperately hoping that my sister Kathy would please notice that I had not resurfaced from my dive,” she recalled painfully.

The doctors told her she had to sit down for the rest of her life.

Texas A&M Pitcher Nathan Dettmer Says “Baseball Does Not Define Me” But God Does

Nathan Dettmer, Texas A&M’s pitcher, maintained how baseball does not define him. His connection with God makes him confident that only God can define him and not his games.

In a post-game conference, the 20-years-old shared how God carried him through his failures and mistakes.

In their game against Oklahoma last June 17, the Aggies lost as Nathan gave up four hits, three walks, and seven earned runs.

“I just prayed to Him [Friday] night,” the star pitcher said. “And He just told me that that’s not my story. He’s got a plan for me, and that one game wasn’t it.”

He continued, “Sure enough, I just had to trust in His plan. I knew He had a plan for me. I had success today, and it was awesome. Great feeling,” referring to their win against the Notre Dame on June 21.

On June 21, Nathan led the team to victory against Notre Dame with a score of 5-1. He was able to pitch seven innings with no runs and only allowed three hits.

Notre Dame’s Brooks Coetzee praised Nathan’s outstanding work. “His pitches had depth,” he said. “He had the sinker going. He had the fastball’s run going, had the changeup going. Nothing was going straight, and he was pitching everybody differently. He didn’t fall into tendencies.”

But, through the wins and losses, Nathan’s foundation is in God. He stated, “From one game, it doesn’t define me. It doesn’t define me as a person, and baseball doesn’t really define me as a person.”

God’s revelation of love compelled Nathan to boast about it on his Instagram page. He posted a picture of him, pointing his finger upward as if looking up to God. Then, he captioned the Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.”

Christian NBA Star Stephen Curry Leads Golden State Warriors Back To Finals

Christian NBA Star Stephen Curry has led the Golden State Warriors back to the NBA finals.

After not making the postseason in 2020 and 2021, the 2018 Champion has again stepped into the finals. Golden State Warriors has eliminated the Dallas Mavericks during the conference finals with a Game 5 victory.

It was all thanks to the incredible gameplay of Stephen Curry who was later awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Western Conference Finals. He also became the first-ever player to receive the Magic Johnson trophy.

The three-time champion has averaged 23.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.6 rebounds against Dallas. During Game 5, he scored 15 points and 9 assists which led to the team’s 120-110 win. The Warriors have played in the NBA Finals for five straight years from 2015 to 2019. When asked whether his past experiences felt similar to this season, he said it’s both yes and no.

“Yes and no,” Stephen said in a postgame interview. “I think just playing on this stage and understanding how composed we were this whole time because of all the series that we’ve been in — especially how we compete and play and win on the road — but it’s also different because it’s a new cast of characters and you have to find new ways to get it done.”

Golden State Warriors

During the team’s celebration, Steph was seen wearing a yellow wristband that says, “In Jesus’ Name I Play.” He has been wearing that band on his left wrist during his previous games, including when he broke the three-point record in December. On his Instagram account, he also gave all the credit for his team’s victory and for his award to God.

Stephen has been known as an outspoken Christian even before he started his career as an athlete. In an episode of “Stephen vs. The Game,” a Facebook series he released in 2019, he talked about his faith and how it is molding him.

“My faith is tested on the court as much as it is in life,” Steph said on the show. “It’s the part that always keeps me focused on what I need to do when it comes to my family when it comes to my job when it comes to how I treat other people, my appreciation for life and all the good things that happen and how to deal with the bad things that happen.”

The Golden State Warriors are scheduled to face the Boston Celtics on June 3 during the NBA Finals Game one.

Christian Olympic Gold Medalist Sydney Mclaughlin Marries Andre Levrone Jr.

U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Sydney Mclaughlin has married NFL player Andre Levrone Jr. The Christian couple exchanged their vows last Friday at Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, Virginia.

The Olympian hurdler has been vocal about her faith in Christ. Now, together with her husband, they use their platforms and influence to share the love of God.

In one of the pictures Andre posted on his Instagram, he revealed his wedding shoe with a verse engraved. He chose 1 John 4:19 to symbolize his love for the 22-year-old athlete. “We love because He first loved us.”

Christ’s Love for the Church

The former University of Virginia receiver also captioned their wedding photos with a prayer of what their marriage should look like. He said, “May the success of our marriage not be gauged by fame, fortune, or flash. But by submission to one another, a supernatural unity, and the pursuit of reconciliation for others.”

It can be remembered that Andre also promised Sydney that they would love as “Christ loved the Church” on the day of their engagement. The complete statement said, “May we never love one another cautiously, but instead always be eager to love one another extravagantly, in the manner that Christ loved the Church.”

Indeed, Andre is bold in his faith in Jesus. And he is not ashamed of letting everybody know that he is a follower of Christ. As a result, Sydney loves him even more for that.

She shared, “Andre, you are the most God-fearing, passionate, honest, loving, hard-working, protective, and genuine man I’ve ever met. I see Jesus in you. And as a result, it makes you so easy to love.”

There is nothing sweeter than a couple with Jesus at the center of their marriage. May the newlyweds’ romance last on and represent the fiery love of Christ for His Church.

Athlete Makes U.S. Olympic Diving History, She Competes In Jesus’ Name

An Olympic diving athlete makes U.S. Olympic diving history. She competes in Jesus’ Name and credits God for the victory.

Krysta Palmer initially competed in gymnastics and trampoline during her teenage years. She even reached elite levels in the sports. However, injuries forced her to stop from the sport at 20-years-old. That’s when a friend introduced her to diving. Nine years later, she’s made history.

The diving athlete recently competed for the Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 3-meter springboard event. According to Sports Spectrum, Krysta won a bronze medal, becoming the first U.S. female to finish on the podium in an individual diving event since the 2000 Sydney Games. Moreover, she is also the first American woman to win a medal in this category since 1988 (Kelly McCormick won bronze).

“Wow. You know, we have really strong springboard divers in the USA right now. And if it wasn’t me, it could’ve been one of them. So carrying that level to the international stage has been exciting … it’s exciting to just make a little more history,” she said after knowing she made history.

God Had Other Plans

After learning she had won a medal, Krysta wanted to hug her coach, Jian Li You, the head diving coach at the University of Nevada. She has been her only coach ever since she started diving.

“I thought I was done with my athletic career [after stopping trampoline due to injuries], but God had other plans for me,” the Olympic athlete told the Record-Courier in Nevada last June.

“I met a friend who knew Jian Li, and she said to come up here to meet the coach. She’s incredible and has so much knowledge, a Chinese national team coach. She’s been in Nevada for more than 25 years. I just picked up diving for fun and I didn’t really see a realistic goal of the Olympics, but we just kept setting bigger and bigger dreams and goals. We just kept achieving those goals and I was like, ‘Wow, we just have to keep making bigger goals.’”

Throughout Krysta’s journey in her rise in the sport of diving, her secret is her faith in God. She has always leaned on her faith and often credited God with her achievements. In her Instagram bio, she wrote, “In Jesus’ name I play.”

WWE legend, Hulk Hogan, has been vocal about his faith and belief in God. In a recent interview, he declared that Jesus is the only thing that’s real in the world.

Terry Eugene Bollea is famously known by his ring name, Hulk Hogan. According to IGN, the retired wrestler is the most recognized wrestling star worldwide and the most popular wrestler in the 1980s. But today, he is using his fame to share his faith in Jesus.

Hogan claimed he received Christ when he was still 14. However, he did not follow the path of being a Christian seriously. But by the grace of God, he re-encountered the love of Christ and since then, he has been proclaiming Jesus.

He said in an interview that Jesus is the only real thing in the passing world. “Well, you know, when things were tough, I realized that this too shall pass. This was just a temporary situation.”

He added, “You know, I realized that as long as I made the right choice and followed my faith more than what people are saying in the tabloids and newspapers, none of that stuff was real. The only thing that is really real is the stuff that’s gonna last forever – your faith and your belief in God.”

“Once you’re a Christian, you’ve accepted Christ as your Savior. You’re not gonna perish but you’re gonna have everlasting life. That belief is pretty much the only thing that is real to me.”

The 67-years-old proved his point during the pandemic wherein he continually encouraged his fans and followers to reevaluate their lives and turn back to God.

He said, “Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where we focus on the ONLY thing in the world that really matters – Jesus.”

Bears QB Nick Foles Teams Up With Local Church To Aid Students Amid Virtual Learning In Chicago

Chicago Bears Quarterback Nick Foles has his heart in helping low-income students who are having a hard time coping with virtual classes. And so, he’s partnered with a Chicago church to provide and distribute laptops for learners.

Foles has been vocal with his faith and walk in Christ. He enjoys reflecting the heart and nature of His Savior. With that in mind, he launched The Foles Believe Foundation with his wife to serve low-income communities. The pandemic has worsened the underprivileged compelled the couple to make the decision. They collaborated with six other churches or “The Chicago Partnership for Church Planting” for a stronger network.

In partnership with the Progressive Baptist Church, they have distributed more than 3,500 hot meals to vulnerable populations since September. Today, they have delivered hundreds of laptops to students in need.

Pastor Charlie Dates of the Progressive Baptist Church announced the donation last Thursday. “Today, our church received hundreds of these, Acer Google Chromebooks, that are being given to students in Chicago who are doing school remotely, some of them even on a cellphone.”

He continued, “Our friend, Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles, has helped us once again meet a real need so that we can introduce people to the personal work of Jesus Christ. And when we give these to students who are in need, here will be our message, ‘Only Jesus’. Thank you Nick.”

Serve in Jesus’ name

The Foles Believe Foundation aims to “impact and serve those in need,” as stated in their official website. “Youth initiatives, family crisis counseling, homelessness, military, mental and overall health are areas close to the hearts of Nick and Tori Foles. Serving these areas will be done in Jesus’ name.”

Furthermore, they referenced what seemed to be their life verse from Luke 3:11. “He replied to them, ‘The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same.”

NFL Star, DeForest Buckner, Commits And Surrenders Whole Life To Jesus

National Football League superstar, DeForest Buckner, boldly shared his commitment to following Christ with his Instagram followers.

The Indianapolis defensive lineman posted a picture with his wife, Ashlyn, and their child, Dominic. The couple held up a baptism certificate, confirming their baptism at Eagle Church. He wrote, “Today I surrendered my whole self to Jesus and chose to trust Him with my life whole heartedly. My walk with Christ is only beginning and I am grateful for the support surrounding my journey of Faith.”

Along with the picture is a video of Buckner submerging in water as the pastor prayed for him.

Buckner included a verse from the Bible in his post. “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” Titus 3:5

The Christian athlete first talked about his faith with Sports Spectrum before Super Bowl LIV. He revealed that his wife was the one who helped him connect more with Jesus. “One person that really helped me connect with my faith even more was my wife (Ashlyn),” he said. “She really helped me connect with my faith a lot more.”

Putting God first

Buckner credits God for his success and achievements. “You’ve got to put God first, man,” he said. “Without Him, without His plan for me, I wouldn’t be here where I am today. I truly believe that. … Every day I give thanks because all my talent, all the things I’ve done in my life, all the glory goes to Him.”

According to Christian Post, Buckner recently signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a defensive lineman. The four-year contract made him one of the highest-paid defensive lineman. In his latest game with his new team, he recorded five tackles and four quarterback hits, helping the Colts to win over Cincinnati.
