Sadie Robertson Huff gave a powerful reminder to Christian social media influencers, saying that people would know them by their fruit.

A Christian actress, author, and podcast host, Sadie Robertson Huff, talked about what it truly means to influence people. She observed that there was a stigma against social media and being an influencer. That’s why she encouraged those who were trying to explore these spaces to become a light.
“That doesn’t mean that it all has to be like you, preaching. Or it doesn’t always have to be like explicitly as like opening up the word and reading it. People will know you by the fruit,” she highlighted.
She also mentioned that when people are filled with the Spirit of God, it overflows into who they are, evident by the fruit in their lives. She was referring to the fruit of the Holy Spirit, which is in Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.”

Furthermore, she explained that if the fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in the lives of the people on social media, then those who are watching them would wonder what is in them that made their lives peaceful and joyful. That’s when they could share their faith. According to Sadie, influencers could say, “It’s the fruit of who God is. This is what it’s like to be in a relationship with Jesus.” For her, this was all about influencing people for the better.
Moreover, she shared a story that happened 10 years ago where she gained a million followers in just a month. At that time, she felt overwhelmed and asked God to take that fame or influence away from her. Eventually, she learned to ask for God’s guidance on how to steward what He had given her. After that, she had a vision wherein the Lord said to her, “I’m not calling you to be famous. But I’m calling you to be a sister and a friend to those who don’t have one.”
