In a podcast episode with Nate Burleson, Rihanna opened up about life as a mom.
“It’s so much hard work, but nothing is more fulfilling than that,” she said.
“The mornings, like, seeing his morning face,” she said of her favorite aspects of motherhood. “Seeing a baby with, like, little bags and waking up and they’re just, like, startled. They’re trying to figure out where they’re at. It’s the cutest, it’s my favorite part of the day.”
Rihanna halftime performance
Rihanna welcomed her first son in May of 2022 with rapper A$AP Rocky. Since then, she explained that performing and recording really had to be worth it because not a lot is worthy of time away from your kids. In the episode, she discussed her excitement for the upcoming halftime performance for the Super Bowl.
It’s the first major event she’s performing at since having him.
“Everything is different, life before my son seems very obscure. It’s very small and cloudy, it just got better with him.”
