A fan of “The Chosen” wrote a letter to creator Dallas Jenkins, cast, and crew of the series that moved everyone to tears.
A Letter From A Fan of ‘The Chosen’
On Aug. 10, “The Chosen” shared a tear-jerking letter sent by a fan to the people behind the series. The fan was Tessa and she shared how her and her husband binge-watch the series and tell everyone they know about “The Chosen.” They binge-watch Seasons 1 and 2. But watching Season 3 became a remarkable testimony for her.
Apparently, Tessa and her family moved across the state to build a retreat center for pastors and missionaries. So, her entire family relocated to a new home. Later, Tessa discovered she was pregnant. However, they found out through an ultrasound that the baby had no heartbeat and she miscarried.Feeling Forgotten And Abandoned
Four days after Tessa’s miscarriage, her husband also lost his job. Six days later, their son was in an accident requiring him to undergo eye surgery. And on their way home from the hospital, their vehicle broke down.
These succeeding unfortunate events that unfolded left Tessa devastated and broken.
“I was crushed, I felt abandoned,” she wrote.
Tessa admitted she felt like God had forgotten about her. Although she tried to find comfort and hope in Scripture, she still felt distant from God and couldn’t feel the Father’s comfort.
“I still saw the wind and waves of the storm all around me and my family,” she remarked.
Tessa struggled greatly; she couldn’t sleep sound at night because of the pain. Not until they watched the Season 3 of “The Chosen.”
“I tried to pray but it felt like Jesus was too busy tending to someone else,” she said.
But after watching the finale of Season 3, Tessa’s struggle ended, and she was never the same again.
