Hundreds of people gathered around a hospital building to worship the Lord and pray for the hospital staff and patients.
Cartersville Medical Center
Cartersville Medical Center in Georgia was one of the first facilities to accept COVID-19 patients for treatment.
On the evening of March 26th, the community in the area showed their support to the staff who were on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. People came and filled the parking lot around the hospital building to pray for the staff and patients who are healing. They also worshipped the Lord while inside their cars.
“Hundreds of Georgia community members came together to hold a prayer circle around HCA Healthcare colleagues at affiliate Cartersville Medical Center. From the safety of their own cars, families tuned in to a local radio station and lifted up heroes on the front lines of COVID-19. And those that are healing inside the hospital,” HCA Healthcare wrote on their Facebook page.
Prayer for Hospital Staff
The healthcare heroes showed their appreciation to everyone who came by standing on the roof of the hospital building. They also joined in worship and prayer.
“I’ve never been more proud to work here in all the years that I’ve worked here,” said Michele Anderson, a nurse and 26-year colleague at Cartersville Medical Center. “The community outpouring is unbelievable.”
Hundreds gather
Families gathered together in their cars to observe social distancing. Some held signs to express their gratitude and support to those who are risking their lives to save others’ lives.
In a video uploaded to Facebook by by Kimberly Jefferson, a powerful moment amid the COVID-19 pandemic can be seen. The hospital staff stood on the hospital rooftop with arms wide open while worshipping the Lord.
“Those are doctors and nurses on the roof waving at the crowd of over 800 people (that stayed in their cars) who showed up to pray over them,” she wrote.
Let us continue to pray for those who are battling the virus on the front lines. Additionally, let’s pray for those who are battling for their lives. May we always remember that the Lord is greater!
